We decided to go to Malta for a cheap holiday, since a holiday in England would have meant us packing the wellies.
My mum and Dad had stayed at the Palm Court hotel before a few years ago, and recommended that it would suit our needs and budget.
We went there with quite low expectations having read some of the reviews on here, but we both found the hotel to be pretty good. For the two of us, we paid

The problem some people have is that they expect a 4* hotel for a 3* facility and 1* price. If you go looking for problems, you will find them..If you expect what you pay for, which is a cheap stay, you are often surprised that it is a better bargain than you expected.

I will tell you no lies here ......usually I am open minded when it comes to places to stay...but to be very honest with you, I found this the most disgusting place I have ever stayed rooms were a mess, staff were ignorant. And the facilities are a joke.
Please take note. I have been to Malta on numerous occasions......and this is the worst place I have ever seen....don

We stayed in the Palm Court we would'nt go anywhere else We have everything we ask for at the Palm Court. The staff are excellent friendly overworked in my opinion but they soldier on under very stressfull conditions the beds and rooms were kept very clean, Food was good, Entertainment was good this year, all in all the hotel staff really made our holiday one to remember,The only downside was the guests were giving the staff a lot of grief which in a lot of cases was uncalled for they only have to ask if there is a problem the staff will sort it out,But no they have to make a big thing of it and start shouting at the staff, If they dont like the Palm Court go somewhere else and leave us who enjoy the Palm Court get on with our holiday and Im sure I speak for some other Guests and the staff, Go and give other hotels your complaints Leave the Palm Court alone,Thank you once again to everybody, The Bar staff especially for keeping us entertained see you in October

We thought something was funny when the coaches from the plane all turned up outside the hotel. Bells started ringing in my head somethings not right here.
We went into the hotel to book in there must have been 180 people. After 1hr we were being shown to our room a lady came out of her room and said you dont know what you are letting yourself in for. She let us into her room it was disgusting greenmould in the shower. Most of tiles broken. Went down to dining room, plastic table cloths there must have been 12 inches of blue smoke hanging from ceilng.
We turned round and had to pay 80 pounds to get out of hotel and Airtours found us another hotel to stay in. Had a good holiday after that. Keep well away from Palm Court be warned.

hotel could do with a bit of a refurb but not too shabby clean rooms though staff friendly food not bad atmosphere in hotel was spot on would go back again no problem first time we were there was june 2007 and cant wait to go again

We have stayed in this hotel a few times before and have just come back.
For what we payed we think we got a very good deal. The hotel is a bit sad but clean. The room was clean, towels changed every day if you wish. We had a problem with our toilet it wouldnt fill to flush so we reported it, no problem the maintainance man came up and fixed it.
The staff are very friendly. The food is a carvery every night with other choices of chicken legs etc the soups are lovely as is the bread. I dont know ahy there is such a lot of bad things said about the hotel. Yes we have stayed in better but we have also payed a lot more and stayed in worst. The entertainment consists of either a kareoke or a singer downstairs with bingo quiz and ballroom dancing upstairs.
The one thing I didnt like is whether you are all inclusive or paying for your drinks you had to order them and pay for them at reception and then take your receipt to the bar to get them.
We had an absolute fab time and will be going back there next year.

Malta looked so tempting in all the adverts so i decided to visit and see for myself. I called Malta direct and asked for availability for a short break vacation. I was not offered a choice of hotels, I was booked in at the Palm Court Hotel. I paid

We've stayed at the Palm Court 6 times over the last 4 years.
We find hotel corridors a bit gruby but the rooms are ok with a maid service Everyday. Due to the hotels policy on the enviroment you get clean towels left in your room when you put the dirty ones in the bath/shower which you can do everyday if you wish.
The food is basic it offers lots of selection but this reflects in the price we paid
