We really enjoyed our stay here.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was a bit out of the way but they supply a bus to 3 nearby beaches.
Facilities very good and well maintained.
Happy to go back anytime!!
A good base for a holiday.

Booked at the Real Bellavista about 3 weeks before travelling - the year before we'd stayed at the Julio Diniz appts (nightmare, but that's another story!!)
Saw the hotel in the brochure, and thought that as it had only recently opened thought that it would be ok.
IT WAS FANTASTIC!!
The rooms were lovely and air-conditioned, everything was nice and clean, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - they stored our freezer-packs overnight for us (to use in the cool-bag) and even phoned the local pizza delivery place on the nights that we were too tired to leave the hotel!!
Breakfast was cracking, with everything from fresh fruit salad to cereals to bacon & eggs to toast, all different fruit juices, hot tea and coffee, rolls, pastries and anything else you can imagine eating at that time of day!!
The outdoor pool was a nice temperature, and you could swim from it into the indoor pool, which also had a seperate jacuzzi. The gym had all the basic equipment that you'd expect, and free towels were available every day for use around the pool.
There were various daily activities ranging from pool-basketball, boules, darts and even Portugese lessons!!
There was something different on every evening - bingo, bird show, magic show, cabaret, but we tended to walk to the strip in the evening (it took us about 20 mins), although we did walk to the old town a couple of times (25 mins walk). But the hotel do run a courtesy bus several times a day.
The ONLY downside we could see was the location - the hotel is on the top of a hill, so it may not suit people who don't like walking very far, but it is by no means in the middle of nowhere. There's a supermarket at the bottom of the hill, a McDonalds and a massive 'Centro Commerciale' just 5 mins down the road, and a couple of large hotels also at the bottom of the hill.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone - in fact, my sister and brother-in-law have just flown out to stay there (they visited us last year at the hotel and are VERY hard to please!!)
10 out of 10 for the Real Bellavista!!
