Hi, myself and my family stayed here in november 2002 it cost us 769.00 for a family of six and we had a brill time although it poured down every day and my 8 year old ended up with the flu. The Casablanca bar was quite expensive and was always empty because it was cheaper to go to the bars on the strip.

The kids reps were brill and even my youngest who never leaves my side loved it and was always the 1st one ready to go. We have been to the Algarve 4 times in 2 years and this has been the best appartments we have stayed at and can wait to go back at the end of August 2003.

Just got back at the beginning of July 2002. We had a great apartment on the top floor with all the comforts of home, that includes a tv and microwave that were not detailed in the brochure from last year. 2nd biggest pool on the Algarve but if you want a sunbed make sure you get a towel down early.

The pool and surrounding areas are cleaned every morning and rooms also cleaned every day, the only thing that let the cleanliness down was our bedding was not changed in our 2 wk stay and occasionally we had back pressure from the toilet which left an awful stench(nothing a tin of air freshener couldnt cure)

The reps are a good laugh and the kids will love them. You are right on The Strip with so many choices of restaurant, we tried several and I must say Lisa's Pasta came out top for quality and value for money and its right next door to Vilanova. Jeep safari is a must (not for toddlers mine are 8+11 and they enjoyed it)We went with green safaris and they were brilliant and only cost about

We stayed at the Vilanova Apartments in June this year. We all had a great time especially Our two children aged 2 and 5, theres plenty going on all day and the kids loved the mini disco each night learning all the party dances, Our apartment was fairly basic however a large room with Tv and Microwave, and everything you needed for cooking etc.

Our balcony overlooked a small square on the strip, although alittle noisy with childrens motortrikes and a bouncy castle, this was all put away by midnight, and we didnt really hear any noise after this.

The pool area is lovely, lots of grass areas to shelter from the sun and play with the children, The villas look very nice and are really ideally situated for nipping back to your room for drinks etc as they are quite expensive at the pool bar. TAKE NOTE If you are staying here you will be asked to pay a

When I first arrived at the reception area I was not impressed....I thought I'd arrived at a caravan park, however once we received the keys (please note you do have to pay a deposit on arrival) and walked down the side track to the 2 vilas my impressions soon changed.

The villa that I stayed in was great, really spacious and very clean, and looked as though it had just been renovated. There was a lovely patio area and little garden out on the back and a view of the lovely gardens and swimming pool. The other villa was OK but looked as though it needed renovating if you compared it with the other.

The Thompson reps at Vilanova were great fun and created lots of various entertainment from aqua-aerobics to party nights at the Casablanca (which is great if you have children).

The location is excellent for the bars and restaurants (the Strip). Tom & Jerry's is great for the big Sunday dinner and the kids loved it!!!

The beach is a good walk away and down "cardiac hill". Coming back up the hill is a killer!!! Was not impressed with that, and you definitely need a beer afterwards!!!

It was a lovely place and ideal for a relaxing holiday with the kids.

We went on a last minute cheap deal in Dec and thoroughly enjoyed the warm Portuguese weather and short flight. Apartment basic but large with 2 separate bedrooms. Bath had seen better days and the electricity fuse went if too many appliances used at once. No TV but quite cheap to hire for a week via reception (channel 3 nearly all in English)Reasonably priced food available in local shop and a big Lidl store about a mile away. Good choice of bars etc on the strip even in Dec - Mary Ann bar(400 metres away)especially good value (60p for a large beer)- but very English. Taxis really cheap - Less than

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday, apartment clean and comfortable despite concrete bed bases. Pity the Casablanca bar was not used more as it was quite atractive although against very stiff opposition from nearby facilities. We shall certainly return.

Very good location, close to all restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. The grounds were well kept. The Casablanca bar on site was very quiet, most people went onto the strip. The apartments were very big and has lots of space.

Although the brochure states we had a TV and microwave we did not have either, but had everything else, the cupboards were well stocked with kitchen equipment. Very good for families. The reps and reception staff were very helpful and reception was open 24hours every day. There was maid service everyday which cleaned and tidy your apartments. We had clean sheets and towels 3 times a week. The lobby was quite bare and you could hear people walking around all the time as it was all tiled.

The apartments were very basic but clean enough. Shame about the TV (as we didn't have one!) The day trips organised by the reps were quite expensive we only went on 2 of them, which were both very good. The zoomarine centre is a must, also loule market trip. Beware the taxies are VERY EXPENSIVE.

Overall we had a fab time and the apartments were excellent value for money and a very good 2 star, Try the food in the paella restaurant on site is VERY GOOD

HAVE A GOOD TIME!
