Can't say if the pool side rooms are better but we were in room 901 and the road was noisy and a cockerel crowed from sun up till sun down.

Roch was really nice and the night life was good for a single person in their 20s.

The resort is excellent.
We went to the beach nearly every day the sea is great the beach is excellent.
The main strip has many good shops, bars and places to eat..I highly recommend The Red Lion, China Nova, the Sitting Bull and the english chippie.
Also if your into tatooing the is an excellent shop called Positive Vibrations which my finace got a tatoo there and is excellent highly recommend.
If you are going to the Algarve go to Praia da Rocha and make sure you don't stay at the Club Praia da Rocha.

This resort was not our cup of tea, there were too many Irish bars. The beach was the best part of the whole resort. I would reccommend hiring a car from the excursion shop around the corner from the hotel (near ice bar) we paid 77 euros for three days and travelled to some much nicer resorts/beaches. Praia do Amando is a surfers paradise is it near sagres. Also, Praia da Luz is really nice. If I went to the Algarve again I wouldn't stay here, I'd stay at Albufeira, much more to do here!

A wee bit of a distance to the strip, but come on, your on holiday what's the hurry ,take all day. Georgeous beach, fab shops, fab,people, fabbie Praia da Rocha.

The resort was very clean and tidy a few of the bars and restaurants were closed but there was still plenty places to eat and drink.Top class restaurant was the Titanic which was top notch but at very good prices,also the Algar bar was very good decent priced drink and a good food menu.

Praia de Rocha was absolutely fab, even in mid October!
The restaurants are excellent and very reasonable, the beach is divine, and the entertainment superb!

We found the resort fabulous, the food, varying resturants to eat, the choises, the shops, the evening entertainments povided.. the beach.. We enjoyed the resort that much that we will definately visit it again next year. Good English Brekki at Dukes, also if you are there on a Sunday they do a fabulous Sunday Roast from 6.30pm onwards but it is advisable to book early because so many go there as it has a great reputation. Evening entertainment in the resort catered for all tastes, we found Las Vagos bar great, all ages visited there and enjoyed the entertainment offered.
Also, if any of you are Karaoke freeks the a visit to the 'Stars Karaoke Bar' is a must.. they stage rises, the lighting and sound system is brill, and you may get camptured on film ! just look outside and few all past holiday makers enjoying 'Stars'. everywhere we went in the resport we found everyone obliging and helpful.

Plenty to do in Praia da Rocha, restaurants were of a high standard, in particular 'Titanic' and 'Squash', lots of bars to suit every one. Beach was beautiful

Pria De Rocha is okay, but i can see how you might compare it to Blackpool. The beach at the fortress end we found to be very clean. The beach at the opposite end of the fortress was very dirty, don't know if it was just a bad time but it looked like a large boat had emptied its tanks out at sea as there was lots of bubbles and what looked like sewage.
