My wife and I wre sold the Atlantic as a '3-star' by our local travel agent. It soon became obvious the hotel was well short of that. Yes, as you will see from other reviews, the hotel was spotless and cleaners are on the go all the time. The staff, generally were friendly and helpfull but it falls down badly on the quality of food.
Although a variery is on offer, some of the offerings were frankly inedible. They seem to use poor quality cuts of meat etc. and concentrate heavily on local 'Hake' cooked in a variet of ways. 0 Fine, if you like Hake for lunch and dinner!

It's also fair to say this place is a sort of 'Butlin's' abroad. No doubt good for kids and for those who are hapy to spend their entire day at the hotel, swillong cheap local beer and spirits and listening to hundreds of kids. - Not a couple's hotel this one, I'm afraid.

Rooms were small, hot with no air-con or reasonable ventilation. Just a noisy fan in the ceiling. Plumbing was a bit 'smelly' at times and the place just looked a bit 'tired' We wont be going beack there but I'm sure hunderds will. If that's the type of hoiday you want ! A sort of working mens'club moved abroad..! No thanks !

I stayed in the sirenis atlantic hotel it was get the cleanliness was great,all the time you see cleaners and they always say "aloa" which is hello.The food was ok but after a week you get sick of it but its clean and nice.The location was great you could see the beach of your baloncy if you were on the 4th or 5th floor.
Hotel staff are great but two people in the snack bar are a bit touchy and stuff but they are ok.Entertainment,is great in the day its like Shove a penny,killer pool,rifle shooting,killer darts,poolside quiz,table tennis,aqua ball,scuba diving and more.The kids enterainment was very poor with First Choise its was mainly trips you had to pay for and it never tells you what time its on,but Clare,Lyndsay,Paul and Gemma are really nice(The first choice reps).The other kids club was got Mandy ran it shes really nice and its free and shes employed by the sirenis hotel you do drawing comps,art attack and other things.

The Entertainment in night was good 'cos on monday it was Parrot show and westlife lookalikes,tuesday spanish danceing,wednesday Quiz and bingo night,thursday Quiz and bingo again and magician friday,Quiz and toxic,(Brintey and klyie lookalikes)!
saterday quiz and bingo and sunday lionel richie songs they were all good.


There was a kids swimming pool 6-10 inches tall which was to small and a massive one that was deep in some place they were 3"7,5"3,5"11 and 6'10. There was a full time life guard there that was helpful,but u wernt allowed teshirts or lilos in the pool.The Jacuzzi was good it cooled u off but it was quite small.There was a sauna but i didnt go in there because who wants to go in a sauna when its 37C in the shade and 46C in the sun!I was on the 5th floor! and we had to walk 105 steps to get to the 5th to the pool but there was lifts that to ages to come so we always ended up walking.I think they should have air con they just was this stupid ceiling fan that doest make any different.

But i would come here again but it was just a it to hot .! But you should come here if you was go 1-2 children 'cos they will nevr get bored.

The Hotel Atlantic is an older style hotel than others I have visited, although the reception area looks modern the rooms have an older feel to them. The rooms have woodern doors and are single glazed, a breeze often caused them to slam if not properly secured.

Furthermore the elctrics in the hotel leave something to be desired, like most european countries the hotel uses two prong plugs however normally the plugs fit into a socket on the wall. In our case the power outlets were just two round holes which our normal UK-Euro adapter would not fit into. We had to purchase an adapter (

we stayed at the sirenis atlantic in es cana.this was our second holiday there because in june 02 we had a fantastic time.we decided to go back because we were expecting it to be the same,bad mistake.the rooms were spotlessly clean although the bathroom stunk terrible.the dining room staff were nice but the food was terrible,not like our first visit the food was excellent then.bar staff were great,snack bar staff arrogant and slap happy.

What a great 2weeks we had. The hotel was lovely and clean, staff were very friendly,food was excellent.

Entertainment was ok. Plenty of things to do in the daytime football, volleyball, etc.
We could not fault this hotel one bit. We all will be going back there again.
There was ar eally friendly atmosphere to the place.
Anita and all her staff were fantastic.
They all did a great job keeping the kids occupied while we got a great suntan.

The hotel was kept very clean and tidy.Staff were very friendly and there English was very good.

The food was excellent never ever went hungry. The food was very well presented and a good choice. Desserts were lovely.

Entertainment was ok. Anita done a fantastic job keeping us all entertained. We will defiently be going back.I would recommend this hotel to anyone with kids its great.

Hotel rooms ok kept very clean.

Food very nice but could cater more for children.

Hotel location was very good close to all amenities.

Hotel staff very friendly Anita was a great entertainer she did her very best to keep everyone happy and entertained.

Only problem we had was the lifeguard who was very miserable kept having a go at the kids for wearing bandanas in the pool which everyone found unacceptable you have to protect children from the sun, would not allow inflatables in the pool or beach balls to play with.

Apart from that we had a fantastic time and would go back again. The kids age 12, 11 and 8 really enjoyed their holiday because they were entertained all day and of a night. See you soon Anita.

My family and I went to visit this hotel in June and we loved it.

The entertament was great for all ages.

The staff were great.

The hotel food was ok but not enough selection for the kids.

The cleaners were fantastic we would go out of a morning and when we came back the hotel room was clean.

This hotel was very clean, but the water in the rooms was brown, and the bathroom had a bad smell about it. The food in the hotel didnt give you very much choice, and it didnt really cater for children although it was a family hotel. The rooms were very small and the beds were camp beds, we booked a family room but all rooms are the same size no matter how many people were in them.Staff in many areas were very good, but some were less than helpful. The entertainment was ok most nights, but during the day there was very little to do if the weather was bad, kids clubs only ran for two hours per day per age group, and if they went at night time you had to pay. I wouldnt visit this hotel again, and i dont think anyone would who was there when we were.

i have stayed a this hotel 3 times previously.i would recommend this hotel 2 anyone with a family.the childrens pool is very secure so you have peace of mind your children sre safe.kid sclub good (when open).th eadult pool is very deep but lifeguard there all the time and is very strict which is good.the hotel is the cleanest i have ever stayed in staff work very hard to maintain the high level of cleanliness.food ok not much variety for kids but snack bar open most of the time,food quite repetitive but it is a 2 star hotel.bar staff extremely friendly and make you feel very welcome,as do all the staff.
entertainment good graham was just findin g his feet when we got there but he tried so hard to keep us all ebtertained during the day and evening.mandy was brill she kept the older kids happy all day and night.i would definately visit this hotel agaim and again.excellent!!!!
