beautiful hotel were you are well looked after although not fussed over. rooms cleaned daily to high standard, clean towels etc. food is vey reasonable with plenty of choice. thomson reps work very hard with various entertainments to join in through out the day/night(but you are never pressurised)a lovely pool, waiters for pool side drinks/ meals or you can sit at the bar. plenty of sun loungers although you still encounter the early risers putting towels on the best ones.
hotel is located in the heart of a small but busy resort.

My wife & I stayed in the Marina Panorama from 4th-18th Aug. We were greeted by a warm friendly reception staff and was immedietly impressed with the hotel. We have stayed at many of the Thomson Golds and we rate this more in the 4 star rather than 3 star!
The location is in the heart of Es Cana and a fairly bustling resort not where "Golds" are usely positioned. they are normally in quiete locations. We did as to move rooms after 4 nights due to the noise encountered from a bar to the left of the hotel and at kick out it did get noisy and when you want to chill a wake up at 4AM is not ideal! We requested a room move to the quieter pool side area and "no problem" we moved within 24 hrs when a room became available. The rooms are fine and you get a fridge to put in your own drinks as believe me the hotel prices are outrageous, so bought in the local spar, had a few sherberts prior to watching the evening entertaintment and shelling out on their prices reluctantly.
The waiters are very good humoured, expecially Baltazar & Hose! The entertainment was prety poor by gold standards and three singers/comedians all in a row and repeating the previous persons jokes does wear thin! We were delighted with the Queen tribute band, they were fantastic and could have gladly wathced them again. Sharpe were OK and Rich was a right good laugh & his mate Will the serious one. Overall every member tried hard. Yes you had the sunbed lot whom insisted leaving towels down first thing in the morning and not actually using the sun beds until midday , so it was "when in Rome" you had no choice! Pool area great and loads of room in the massive pool to swim or relax. Great steam room, when it was working to sweat away the gained pounds from the good food. Top tip! if you want quiet, then aviod the sea view rooms! Would i go back? No, we like to visit different locations but give it a go you will not be disapointed. There are some great beaches with very clear waters and no strong currents. Give a go!

I know that there are lots of good reviews for this hotel, and everyone is enitled to there opinon in cluding us, this hotel really wasnt for us.

tiled hotel floors meant lots of noise from above, and people coming and going with suitcases at all hours made sleep hard. Beds were uncomfortable in our room.
Satelite TV seemd to loose signal evry night at around 11.30pm

Our room was at the front where theres a kind of board walk. Every coach load of people coming and going wheeling their trollies on this was like a gang of skateboards outside your window at all hours. In addition the cleaners kart clanked along the corridors at 8am every morning making a lie in almost impossible.

We found some staff very rude (pool bar) others were great and made up for this.

Things seemed to shut down at the hotel at around midnight. overall hotel seemed to be angled at the older client.

Pool was good

entertainment was dier.

piano playing was poor, almost funny

Food was good but didnt like the whole cattle market feel of dinner time with people bustling and jostling for position as if the hotel was going to run out of food. Also the tables were very close together.

Sun beds gobbled up early hours , despite hotel policy that didnt appear to be policed

Enjoyed our stay at the Panorama. Entertainment was of good standards most evenings. The entertainment team Rachel and Sam were very hard working girls, keeping clients entertained throughout the day/evening, well done to them. No pestering of clients by them either. Its good to join in and make friends. The sunbed situation with towels went to the extreme as one evening whilst watching entertainment on stage I saw a female client sneaking towards sunbeds with rolled up towels - yes - around 11pm /midnight!! Sad eh, still she had a lie in. We had a couple of problems but they were sorted amicably. Very friendly and polite staff, good customer service we experienced, nothing was too much trouble. Bar prices were expensive but suppose most hotels are the same anyway. Food was adequate, dining tables too close together especially on Gala evening, as tables have to be cleared from that area and re-positioned. Lovely to have breakfast/evening meal on patio. Will visit again, certainly. Es Cana holds dear memories for us anyway.

we stayed in marina panorama aug 2008, luvely place for a hol. relaxing without being fussed over, thomson reps rachel and sam work hard day and night, multi tallented, from water sports thro day to cabaret at night, rooms more than adequete although depends if you are pool view or sea view(bit noisey i gather), food will cater for all tastes, buffet, bbq, al a carte "you choose what you want", there,s the usual up at crack of dawn get your towel on your chosen sun bed. sad but were british./hotel staff first class ,except, maybe the pool side bar can learn from rest of staff.all in all lush place to holiday, book go and enjoy

the hotel was sparkling clean both the rooms and the pool area. the staff were very helpful and friendly. there was the usual scramble for sun beds the earliest reserving was six in the morning.the food was o k but i have had better at other gold hotels though the staff did their best and there was freshly squeezed orange juice every day..the night entertainment was pretty drear mainly the reps though a queen tribute group was good watch out for the bar prices a small sprite 200 mls cost two pound equating to ten pound a liter in the shops outside a liter and half costless than two euros i will be going back again

This is our 4th trip in a row to the Panorama and again we had a great time. Rooms and hotel areas were always spotless, staff were great and very helpful particularly at reception. The food wasn't as good this year, although you can not fault the hotel for the variation, there is something there for everybody. The location as always is fantastic with all bars and restuarants a stones throw away. We never went to the evening entertainment so I can not comment on that, maybe the fact that the drinks were so expensive put us off a little! I have to comment about all these people saying about the noise if they had a seaview room. Many nights we slept with our patio doors open and it didn't keep us awake. The noise is no more than you would expect in a normal town area and I think these people complaining must live in the country! We have always stayed in a seaview room and we have never experienced such noise that we couldn't sleep! I would never stay in a pool view room again, once that sun comes round in the afternoon you can not sit out on the balcony due to the intense heat.
