Beaches

The beach at Es Cana is very seaweedy in places, but if you walk a bit further up towards the middle it's fine. The sea is nice and calm usually and very safe. I thought the beach could have been a bit cleaner though, as there was some rubbish washed up, which could have been cleared away.
It was very hot in August, but there is a great little sea breeze and that was nice and cooling. For me the entertainment was not my cup of tea but if you are into tribute bands and karaoke or bingo then your luck is in! However, walking on the beach in the moonlight and stopping for a quiet drink at one of the little bars was much more up our street and we enjoyed it. Wish we'd had more time to do the trip to Ibiza town but the sunset cruise to San Antonio was amazing.

The resort is ok parts of it I thought were a bit scruffy. We only really stayed at the hotel for entertainment. The beach at Cala Nova is lovely as are the bars/restaurants. Where we stayed was much nicer but the drinks were more expensive in our hotel.

Although we did not use the beach, there was a lot of rubbish by the harbour, which could have been cleaned up. Boat services very good. Festival fireworks were excellent. Some nice bars all in walking distance. Resort not changed much since I last visited 21 years ago, which is a good thing.

Nice quiet little place,
We ate out a few times at Popeyes,The Bulls Head and a little English place in the backstreets opposite the fair ground stalls.
The food was good alround.Interesting to see many places had recetion beater menus, 2 meals for 10 euros so you can find good value for money if you shop around.
Took a trip to Ibiza town on the ferry it cost 15 euro return. We had a very rough trip and a few were sea sick!so dont have a heavy one the night before. Ibiza town was a dissapointment.
Hippy market was mainly full of old tat but had some good bands and is only a walk away.

Pleseant resort, not too big but plenty of bars and shops if this is what you like. The beach is lovely and plenty of beds and umbrellas always available for hire.

The resort was easily accessible for people with walking difficulties, very clean and friendly. Lots of very reasonable places to eat and drink, La Perla (opposite the taxi rank) and Bar Toni (on the way to the hippy market) were excellent value, Murphy's bar was very expensive, 4 euros a pint, not good beer either and watch your change. Not really Irish either. Escana is a very family friendly resort. We loved it and will go back.
