I like it. Most rooms have a sea view, the higher you go the better itd be. Youll have to walk uphill. As youd expect. Its worth it.

Rooms that are pool facing. All the restaurants we tried were very good.
There aren’t any water parks in the resort apart from the one in the large hotel for hotel guests.

Beaches

Portinax is very pretty and the beach is beautiful, it may be a little small for things to do for 14 nights but for 7 nights of relaxation its fantastic. If we had not travelled as a large party the older teenagers may have become a little bored in Portinax as there was nowhere really for them to go, But we would return there for a weeks break.

As far as Portinatx is concerned, it's a lovely, family friendly resort with two lovely beaches and inviting waters. Sun beds and parasols are charged at 4.50 euros each for the day which is average for the island. Both beaches are small and have a flag system for swimming safety. The larger beach has a lifeguard.
There's a good selection of shops and supermarkets as well as two bars in the main town, Del Boys and Vincents, both worth a visit in the evening for the entertainment. There's also a selection of bars surrounding the smaller beach and worth at least one evening of your holiday.
There is an island train that runs trips (appx 3 hours) on selected mornings as well as an afternoon trip on Sundays. Note that one of the trips takes in churches so if this is not your thing, avoid it. Cost is reasonable but for the little ones, it could be a bit boring after 30 minutes or so.
The glass bottom boat is a must do, 10 euros for adults, 5 euros for under 10's. It lasts for appx 75 minutes and offers great views of the fish and other sea life. Take some bread to feed the fish and have your camera ready, it's a lovely little trip, especially with the sea breezes on a hot day. Runs 5 times a day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Other boat trips are to San Antonio and Es Cana, these are full day trips and cost is 14 euros for adults and 8 euros for children. Es Cana is on Wednesday and takes in the Hippy Market and San Antonio is on Saturday.
There's not a lot going on in Portinatx, so a 2 week stay may get a little repetitive. We hired a car for two days and explored the island, taking in Ibiza Town, San Antonio and Playa D'En Bossa. The cost was appx £130 for a six seater for two days.
Finally, beware that the hill that leads from the hotel to the beach and the town is very steep. The walk back up in heat can be sapping even for the super fit, so be aware that if you have walking difficulties, you may find it a tough walk. You can get a taxi back to the hotel from the town if you don't fancy the hill or if you are carrying a few bags of shopping. Cost is appx 7 euros.

If your looking for nightlife- This is not for you but if you want a romantic getaway or a relaxing holiday with your family you can't beat Portinax. The beach shelves gently so is ideal for young children and there are 3 beaches so you can always find 'your spot' We first came here 8 years ago as a couple and returned with the kids. You know what, we were pleasently surprised that not much had changed. Where else in the world can you say that?

the resort was lovely quite quiet but it was enough for us. you have a few trinket shops across the beach a couple of english bars delboys which was excellent we had great fun in there and drinks are cheaper than the hotel.the beach is very nice sun beds are expensive we had 2 and a umberella it was 13 euros the water is so clear you can see all the fish around your feet we would take bread down and feed them the kids loved that (well and the adults too.)

the resort is a small place very quiet the beach is fantastic there are pedlos speed boats and boat trips, ther are a few shops but are a little expensive so if you are self catering i advise to take most of it with you. the entertainment is probably two places that are next to eachother they are vincents bar it is good for families but from 12 is more of a small club, and then there is dell boys the have something going on every night and they do a wicked breakfast and sunday roast! if you like night life clubs or drinking holiday this is not for you , if you like nice quiet peacefull place with nice restraunts and beautiful beaches then this is for you if you want authentic food try the lobster piella from el purto restraunt its right at the end of the bay expensive but worth every penny!

portinatx is a small resort but a very pretty one. there are a few shops and a few good places to eat. if you like your english food then its del boys for you. the beach is small but very clean with plenty of sun lounges.at night we spent all our time in vincents bar which is run by 3 brothers. they do all the usual stuff like kareoke and quizes. there is an elvis show on thursday night performed by tom who is amazing (kept us entertained all week) miss him the most.

portinatx.. ibiza..
is a very quiet resort with two sandy beaches, they do wash up seaweed mind.
nothing here apart from a bus stop and 4-5 shops and a few hotels. i personally would not come here again due to the quietness of the resort..

Portinax is a great location for families or couples. There isnt many shops but there was enough to have a wander around in the afternoon or early evening. The beach was lovely, especially when the weather was good. We swam with fish and it was nice being able to know your kids were safe as the water was really shallow for a long while. I think there were 3 bars but we didnt use them.
It isnt a good location for elderly people with mobility problems as there were loads of steep ramps or steps.
