The hotel was spotless, our room was cleaned daily and we had the option to have clean towels daily too, which was good. Pool area was also clean.
The food was great, really good choice and lots of it. Something to suit everyone. There was chicken most nights but there was also plenty of other food, salads, pasta, meat, desserts, fruit.
Hotel location was good, very close to shops and bars but not so close that the bar noise was a problem. Ferry over to San Antonio was outside hotel and nice sandy beaches were near by.
Hotel staff were friendly, bar staff nice and efficient.
Only negative thing I can say about hotel is the entertainment, it really was pants. Kids disco nightly which even kids got bored of........and shows were real low budget but good value to laugh about next day.
Thomas Cook kids club which was on during day was fantastic though, Becky and Kelly were really nice and my son had a fab time with them.
All in all great hotel...........

My girlfriend and myself stayed at the hotel mar amantis in Ibiza with my brother and his children.The rooms were basic but clean but the rest of the hotel was very unkempt.and the food was awfull there was a fair variety but was of low quality,it was under or over cooked.i personally got stomach problems so decided not to eat there even though i was all inclusive.The pool area on the terrace got filthyer as the day wore on no one cleand up.rubbish all over.The staff were friendly but seemed theye were maning a sinking ship.

I arrived at the hotel with my 15 and 17 year old daughters.the rooms were very small for three people and very basic As we were all in one room.The staff were not friendly and unhelpfull.The pool area was un clean and full of rubbish and got worse as the day got longer.The entertainment wasnt long enough only one hour and was not very good apart from the flamenco.The food wasnt very good and was not cooked properly.Some improvements could be made in certain areas.I personally would not return to this hotel again.

We stayed for seven nights and within that period we found the hotel to be well kept and clean. We paid for all inclusive and we're sorry we did. The food was apauling. there was a variety, but the quality was awful. The food ranged from a pathetic salad bar to cooked food {supposedly}. We ended up eating out the last few days and have vowed not to go all inclusive again. The hotel location is good, quite central to all on this side of the bay and only 2min walk to the ferry. The staff are the most arrogant and ignorant that i have ever come across and really don't treat you with the respect you deserve. The entertainment is even worse than the food {need i say more}. If the highlite of your stay is bingo then this is for you.

There were 8 adults and 1 infant age 18 mths on this holiday. We arriver at 5 am to find we could not have a room until 2pm in the afternoon due to our holiday company [2 can travel] not booking the rooms for us dont use them they are usless.The hotel was clean with maid service every day with clean towels, beds made etc that was all fine.
The food was not up to much not hot enough and a bit bland but we did eat in the hotel all week including the snack bar which was OK.
The Mar Amantis is right on the beech with the amantis 2 over the road i would say the amantis 2 was a lot more for familys and had a noise level to match !
The staff we found helpful but overworked it seems the amantis 2 had more staff on the bars etc.The reception staff were very good and a young man was great when we found out our holiday firm had given us the wrong phone number for our transfer bus back to the airport.He rang round for us until he got us the correct number.
We did not bother with the entertainment as there were 9 of us it was beter to go out and find somthing for all of us to enjoy.

Firstly the hotel was very clean as were the rooms the food was nothing special but no one in our family went hungry they did have chicken on a lot, the location was perfect not to noisy next to a beach and the water ferry if you wanted to go to san Antonio it cost 2 euros each.

The staff were great and the snacks were good ice cream all day for the kids as well. The only thing that was a concern was the fact that you did not get proper cups when getting a cup of tea or coffee or hot chocolate for the kids we thought it was a little dangerous for the kids to carry hot chocolate in plastic cups my wife even burnt herself with a cup of tea as it was filled to much.

The Spanish oap's tend to be a bit arrogant and there were a lot of them as they tend to have there hols then.

Other than that a great hotel.

Rep good, entertainment same as any other hotel aimed at kids, but we are going back next year can't wait.

Well I don't think we have ever stayed in such an awful place, they were more 18-30 than families in the hotel, who caused nothing but trouble boozing taking drugs, screaming, shouting and kicking in doors all night.

The hotel was ok, the room was surppossed to be for 4 adults well it was not big enough for 2 but e 2 teenage boys there was no room at all.

We enjoyed the food but the entertainment staff were poor and didn't really seem to know what they were doing.

Jodi our rep was very good and did try to sort out problems, but in the end there were just to many to sort, even the head rep of ibiza could not sort.

If we go back to Ibiza we will never go back to this hotel or resort.

Well my boyfriend and I stayed at the mar amantis II for 2 weeks and we were not really sure what to expect because of mixed reviews. We were greeted at the airport by our rep who was brilliant for the 2 weeks we were there helping us plan things to do, thanks Jodi!! Our room was spotless and was always cleaned to a high standard, always clean towels and bedding. The hotel in general was also spotless and the pool area was thoroughly cleaned each night. I had a great view from my room, of the stage where the entertainment was, which I thought I would hate but the childrens reps are so nice and try so hard, and the sunshine clubdance is SO catchy that I really liked having the room there. The hotel itself was a bit noisy on a night due to groups of young people, however the reception staff and reps were great and if people were being to loud, if reception were called they received 2 warnings and then were evicted, as it is a family hotel, so any noise from groups was stopped pretty much straight away. The location was brilliant as it was right on the beach, amongst shops and bars with easy access to the town and meeting places for nights out. The water taxi was a nice little outing for only 2 euros. The all inclusive food was very impressive, as I am VERY fussy. The snacks were delicious and were made very fast, and the main meals in the restaurant were always varied so there was alot to choose from. The hotel staff helped make my holiday. After reading mixed reviews about them I was worried, however they were absolutly fantastic. They all befriended me and my boyfriend and were helping us with our spanish, if it was quiet they would come over to talk and for a laugh, david, miguel, francho, martin, paqo n gloria!!! Jose from the pool bar was so funny aswell, always wanted a laugh and kept everybody entertained throughout the day. The entertainment was not brilliant but was very family orientated which was great, although the reps did try and my boyfriend got roped into helping them do a performance of grease, now that was funny!! I would 100% visit this hotel again as it has been one of the best holidays I have ever been on. There was something for everybody, never got bored and I was devastated having to leave the hotel and the staff behind!! I did not really visit the mar amantis I except for meal times, so I can not really comment on this, but in general the staff were reasonably friendly over there but not as much as in the mar amantis II!!!

Me and some friends ( very young 40 year olds!! ) stayed at the Mar Amantis last September - it was so good we are going again in a couple of weeks. The location of this Hotel is out of this world. Cleanliness is good - yes i agree with some other comments about the poolside having food etc left around but the waiters do try thier best and they are coming round all the time clearing rubbish - i think the holidaymakers themselves should take a bit of care and put things in the many rubbish bins provided. I cannot understand how any one can give this hotel a poor write up - like some others here have said if you want a la carte then pay for it (in a much more expensive hotel). Theres enough selection of food - and plenty of variety of drinks. I can highly recomment this Hotel - i have done much travelling and stayed in many Hotels and this is great value for money.

Me and my boyfriend have just got back from a fab week in Ibiza. We stayed in San Antonio Bay in Mar Amantis hotel.

After booking our hotel this year I got very excited and read many different reviews....although after I did this I thought this was going to be a HOLIDAY FROM HELL!!

The hotel was situated in a fantastic place allthough we wasn't on the sea view we had a good view of the pool...wherever you are located you seem to have a nice view. I love going to the beach which wasn't far to walk at all...and we could leave our lilos on the beach go for dinner at the hotel then come back. Same with drinks you didn't have to pay..just fetch a few from the hotel.

San Antonio didn't seem far tto walk at all...the taxi was only 2 euro however if you do get tired!!

The food at Mar Amantis was excellent..I can't believe people can say other wise....there was tons of variety....when I was there I ate loads...and I am a fussy eater. There food tasted wonderful and always gave a good choice for everyone. You could help yourself to ice creams and lollipops whenever..we used to grab one before going to the beach. Snacks provided through out the day..so you never go hungry.

One thing I thought was really nice...when we arrived there it was 1 O'Clock at night ...the staff had provided us with a cold meal and drink...not many hotels do that!!

The hotel staff varied...most of the bar staff was great...although the odd few in the restaurant didn't want to smile at you unless you was Spanish.

Entertainers were fantastic and did a great job with the children. At night they always involved the audience and I really enjoyed the shows..when that had finished we used to go next door to a free cabaret where they had drag shows and stuff.

The cleaners were very polite and always did a good job cleaning your rooms.

Air con in the hotel was great..although ours wasn't working at first and neither was the bathroom light it was fixed within a few hours of reporting.

I would definitely recommend this hotel...you get what yoy pay for...and to people who bad rated this hotel then all I can say is....most hotels in Spain are off this quality!!!
