We had already been to Jamaica early on in the year, so we just wanted a quiet relaxing break. wasnt too impressed on the accmmodation, high raised hotel blocks wernt my thing, so I didnt like it at all.
The rooms were clean and bright though, so that what a plus. Well, during our stay, I didnt see many staff only those working in the bars and shop. What is nice is that the hotel is set in huge grounds, with 7 pools and an enormous lake, so it was nice to get up and wonder around and still know you were in your hotel.
The food was awful, I was very sick one night after eating in the restaurant, and when we finally found a member of staff floating by, he was very rude and ignorant, not a word of english this bloke could speak. He was working in a hotel visited mostly by english speaking tourists, he should speak a little.
We witnessed a young girl cut her leg open on the glass door, and we didnt seem to see any immediate medical assistance, the Spanish seem to go about situations in a very laid back manner. In all my times I have been away, I have never wanted to go back to England, but leaving Majorca seemed so exciting and I couldnt wait to get back home.
Never again will I return to spain, my holidays now are always, without hesitation, taken in Turkey or Greece.

I can't believe all the negative reports people have given it. We were so impressed. Alcudia is fantastic, the beach is the best.
The complex is situated right in the middle, by all the shops and restaurants, then stroll to the beach.
I'd recommend it to anyone going to Alcudia, Fantastic!!

All i can say is it was brill, when we first arrived there was a horrible smell but i didnt smell it again for the whole 2 weeks.Infact the whole island had a funny smell at times.
the only thing i had to moan about was the ants, they were everywhere. there were no mosquitoes and definatly no rats.
its really expensive especially if you have small kids, there are so many small rides and the drinks are really expensive,we took some bottles of beer down to the show garden in a bag, they are so much cheaper in the supermarkets.
the cleaners were brill,we had the apartment cleaned everyday and the beds and towels were changed every other day.
the entertainment is fab
i would definatly go back to the belle view, all i can say is dont listen to everything your hear or read about the belle view.
i dont understand why people have to moan about it,what do u expect a holiday at the palace

The brochure does not tell you what the hotel is actually like.
There is a pool between every two apartment blocks which is nothing fancy it is basically a concrete square filled with water!
The apartment blocks are more like hostels, with a reception between every 3 blocks and was not 24hrs most of the time when you visited it, it was like ghost town.
The first room we were given we went in and there was hairs on the floor in the kitchen, right near the fridge and broken glass on the floor. And for the 4th person their bed was a camp bed (no bedding and still folded).
The other couple were given a key to an occupied room, when they finally go the right key there was no bedding drawing on the walls and stagnant water in the runners of the kitchen door which stank! And also the kettle didn

We visited and stayed for a week in May 2003, the apartment was fantastic, we asked for a quiet spot and a low floor and we were placed in a low floor building, Fedra III, which is to the rear of the complex, ideal for those with very young children as some of the other apartment blocks have bars at the bottom which have music, karaoke and dancing.
I think the complex is well situated, as it is just off the main street where there are plenty of shops bars and restaurants.
The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the complex, or a boat can be taken from the complex to the beach.
The amenities on the complex were fantastic and the children's club which my son attended regularly was brilliant.
The pool area was clean and the pool itself was very clean apart from the odd leaf or two, which could not be avoided as the pool area was surrounded by gardens and trees.
The staff were very pleasant and very helpful, especially in the reception. The cleaners were always around and the apartment was spotless.
In the time we spent at the complex we never encountered any ants, cockroaches, rats or any other type of pests.. apart from a few rowdy 'Spanish' teenagers who were quickly dealt with by the security.
I cannot really comment on the entertainment at the nightime as we tended to go and have a meal nearby, which we found very reasonably priced.
The food on the complex was reasonably priced and very nice.
I think that the Bellevue complex is an ideal place for families with children of all ages.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and we have booked to return in May 2004, and I have invited my parents along this time, that should say something..
So I shall look forward to giving an updated review to those travelling later in the year.
Don't forget though, a holiday is what you make it. so enjoy..
