Had everything we neede in there!!! including air con (very useful)
The Breakfasts at The Red Lion were very nice but we weren't so keen on the evening meals and we did have to wait a long time!
The Siesta 1 has a Lovely big pool that opens at 9.00am dailey but beware people start queuing at 8.00am!!!!! then when the gate opens at 9.00am it's run for your lives to get your towel on a sunbed!!!! we only did that twice I think it's rather sad that you have to queue an hour to get a sun bed beside the pool!!!! that spoiled it a bit! theres a card in your room telling you that you mustn't reserve beds with your towels but believe me they do!!! sad!!
Entertainment at The Red Lion pub every night was Great, the Thomas Cooks Reps do a disco with kids, games with kids, quizzes, Bingo and they even sing and they are very good at it too!! (Gareth, Gemma, Keely and Leigh you were fantastic!! Thanks)
Plus other nights there was animal shows for the kids and a fantastic magician show!!
The Siesta 1 is in a good location too, theres quite a few shops & bars & restaurants near by (most restaurants it's a 3 course meal for 8 euros!) and it's only 10-15 mins walk to the beach (really not a long walk to beach at all) but if you don't want to walk to the beach the hotel provides a mini bus to take you to and from the beach each day!!!
Theres a Horse Ridding school over the Road from Siesta 1 so we took the kids and they had a Great time and it's not too pricey either, they take your photo for you to buy at the end too!
We went to the Western Water Park (through the reps) and had a Great day out there too!!
Overall we had a good holiday!

Found the staff ok but not over friendly the Thomas cook staff were quite friendly which made up for it.
Not much entertainment around the pool side, for the kids and found the pool a little dirty.

The hotel is situated at the top of main strip which was good because you never miss a bar or shop (and there were plenty of shops selling the same things)
The entertaintment wasn't as good as we'd have hoped for but the kids club was good for my son even though he only went a couple of times during the day, the kids reps also put clubs for a couple of hours every other night or so (at a price) which he enjoyed. The adult enterainment, what we seen of it was rubbish though.

Food in Red Lion very good. 3 course meal excellent, starter and main course, eat here. Location of hotel good although it took us half hour walk to beach (loads of shops on the way. Staff were helpful but we couldn't book a room on last day reception said we could not rest in the lounge/library before departure that meant 12 hours till pick up with one 5years old, but next day other receptionist said we could (I had asked the other one during an argument between herself and other staff, they were quite animated in spanish).
Entertainment excellent English girl Lorri is lovely lass. Would recommend this hotel especially the lovely pool.

We as a group of two single parents with two young children stayed here in May this year.
The rooms were great and very clean, reception staff were brilliant and friendly, the bar staff were excellant especially Gary.
The reps did a fantastic jon and got to know us as a family by our names, and the kids reps were out of this world. Craif, I I could have taken him home with me my daughter is disabled and he was fab with her.
All in all, the best holiday we have had.
Please visit people. Location wise great for the shops and restaurants.

The hotel is lovely and clean, the staff are friendly, the pool is big and had enough sunbeds for everyone throughout the day.
Laura and Linda the entertainer's are brilliant their both crazy! There really good with the kids and there is always something for the kids to do.
The Red Lion pub under the Siesta was really good and definitely would recommend to eat there, the food is lovely and your not waiting long for your meal and its cheap! Some nights we went to a restaurant called 'TIVOLI TERRANCE'the food here is spot on from steaks to pasta's its a bit dearer than the red lion but its worth it. We also went to The Piccadilly bar which is over the road from Siesta every night as this is open till 3am- kids disco, quiz then Karaoke till 3. Sara and Ben who do the Karaoke and entertaining are brilliant very friendly.
Overall
I would recommend this Hotel and would definitely go back again.

The whole apartment was clean, tidy and very large. The balcony had table and chairs and as far as I am aware the way the hotel is shaped, all the rooms overlook the pool so the views are great. Our front door (the other side) overlooks the mountains behind so really nice location. The hotel has 3 lifts and the corridors are clean and well kept-this was the standard everywhere. The towels and bins were changed daily I think and the bed linen regularly. The Tv even showed bbc1 so I didn't miss any Eastenders episodes!
The reception to the hotel is very large, marble and roman theme, very cool and inviting. The receptionists are helpful and even pin up a weather forecast so you can plan your days out. The pool was lovely, huge and lots of sunloungers. There is a separate baby section too.
The Red Lion bar does good cheap food and has several large screen TV's to watch the latest sport on.
We really liked this hotel and would stay here again.

We were on the 4th floor overlooking the pool which was nice & although the Red Lion bar was just underneath we were not bothered by any noise.
As we went self catering we ate out nightly - the food at the Red Lion bar is quite cheap -

Location at the opposite end to the beach but good in a way that it is not amongst all the night life.
Pool opens at 9.00 am - beware you will need to be there queuing to put your towels onto beds if you want to use the pool throughout the day.
Entertainment in the Red Lion Pub - can't really comment as we never used this. Lots of other entertainment along the main avenue.
Would definately recommend Siesta 1 - TV including Cbeebies for the kids!

We've just returned from our holiday in Majorca and we had a great time.
I'd been to Majorca before with my friends to magaluf when we were younger but haven't ever visited Alcudia.
THE HOTEL:
We found that the reception at Siesta 1 was lovely and clean and the staff were always very polite and friendly. There is a pub under the siesta 1 called the red lion which has good cocktails for 4 euros we played bingo nearly every night and won a total of 464 euros and 4 breakfast vouchers.
We stayed in a studio and I was quite worried about whether it would feel cramped, but it was a good size. As you enter the studio, there was a bathroom to the right and wardrobe space to the left. In the middle section you have twin beds on your right and the kitchen area on your left, which can be hidden behind two folding concertina doors. Next to the bed area there is a wooden screen which separates the beds from the sitting area, which had a sofa (which could be used as a bed, and another bed underneath which rolled out), a dining table with 4 chairs, TV on stand and shelving.
The kitchen area was very clean and had all the essentials. There was a two ring hob, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. Also, you are provided with washing up liquid, teatowel, cloth and scouring pad-type thing. I know this may sound trivial, but every holiday I've been on, we've ended up having to buy our own washing-up liquid, etc. which has always annoyed me when we've always stayed self catering and would have thought they would have been supplied.
Also, after reading some reviews, I got the impression that the apartment wouldn't be air conditioned and so we took a fan with us - don't worry, when we went, there was air conditioning, so I presume that the hotel has decided to put it in! It was great, like walking into a fridge after a day out in the sun! Although be careful if you leave it on during the night, I often woke up freezing, so keep the remote control by the bed!!
LOCATION OF HOTEL:
We found that the hotel was in an ideal position as all you did was walk out of reception and you were at one end of the main road. If you just follow the road, it leads to the beach and doesn't take more than about 15 minutes to reach the beach.
THE TRIPS:
We booked three trips when we were in Majorca - we went to inca market on a thurday with no frills excursions which was good got some good bargains.
Just be warned that most of the trips are based in Magaluf or Palma, so anything that you do, will require you to travel for just over an hour on the coach to get you there. We didn't mind too much, but if you've got kids, bear this in mind, especially on hot days and the air conditioning isn't always great on the coaches.
The Waterpark in el arenal - This was a brilliant day out! We booked through no frills excursions. You get picked up at 9am just over the road from siesta 1 and get to the park at 11am and you spend about 5 hours in the park .
we also went to the caves of drac which i didnt really like waste of money.
OVERALL:
Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday and we found the hotel very clean and were happy with our location.
The waterpark is a great day out and the kids will love it, there are plenty of things for the smaller children, as well as the slides for older ones.
