The hotel was in a great place. where ever you were in alcudia you could always see the hotel.

We were on the 7th floor in two one bedroom apartments. they were a bit dated but spotless. the maid's were really cheerful and always put the kids cuddley toys on the beds and laid out there night clothes.

The bar staff were the only down side. They were always talking when you wanted to be served. They were pretty miserable.

The entertainment was ok. The parrot show was pretty awful. They turned up late..1020pm ( should have been there at 1000 pm)and my 6 year old was looking forward to it. They took photos for another 30 minutes with the parrots on your shoulder. They were demanding 10 euros without seeing the photo. Beware.

The entertainment was by the pool. This was very dark and the parasol bases were fastened to the ground. My daughter fell over one of them and really bruised her leg. There was no first aid by the pool. My other daughter stood on some glass and the staff were no help.

The pool was ok. At early times it was very busy with the usual boats and ball games. Later on it quietened down. For the amount of people I think the pool could have been bigger.

The reception staff were excellent. The were very pleasant all times of the day and would help you out with anything. we needed the shower fixing and the repair man came straight away.

The restaurant was small and had the buffet system on. The plates were really small and the choice of food was small but the food was ok.

I would visit again because all hotels have little things you don't like but overall the things wrong were bareable.

Its location was the best thing with it being so close to the shops and the beach.

I have just returned from the Sol Alcudia Centre in Aludia after a weeks holiday.

The main reception area is clean, and the staff were very helpful and spoke good english, there is a shop next to the reception which we used and it had a good selection of things and didnt seem to be too expensive.

There is two lifts in the hotel they are quite small we fitted in with our 2 suitcases and no more.

We were staying in a studio apartment which was very very small, and actually quite dated. There was an attractive wire hanging from the roof to a light in the middle of a room, you dont want to be too tall as you would have walked right into it! The kitchen was well equiped with all the stuff you need for a SC holiday. Our bathroom was very dated and smelled a bit funny! Never the less the shower had plenty hot water and good pressure. The room needed a bit of repairs to it i.e. wardrobe door handles hanging off, loose tiles etc.

Its not that i wouldnt go back just that i feel there is alot better quality 3* hotels around. The hotel itself is very central - which is very good.

As for the entertainment we went to the quiz night and were getting all geared up for a good night and thinking of good team names - what a dissapointment! Two local girls got up on the stage played 8 pieces of music and we had to guess which film they were from - that was it - then it was game over!!! I was still waiting for my piece of paper!! Was not impressed! Not to mention it was all little kids running up with the answers!

So i did not go to any of the other nights of entertainment after that.

The pool is ok - no music on anything when we went - we mostly spent our time at the beach.

Our room was facing the street - it can be quite noisy with the traffic in the morning and the bar Cheers along the road, but you get the sun from about 6 - 8pm in your balcony which was nice.

Air con does not work properly.

Oh and there is an Indian behind the Hotel we never went because we were told it was rotten!! We asked a local barman in one of the bars if there was another Indian he said no only the one - which is rubbish because we found one and it was really really good. A bit of a walk away - down past the Magic Disco - directly across from the Viva Golf hotel.

Very good location, very central, very clean.

Not enough sunbeds and despite notices saying towels would be removed from sunbeds after 45 minutes in the 2 weeks we were there this happened only once. Get ready for the 9.00 a.m. sunbed dash!

Night time entrtainment very poor, we gave up and went elsewhere. The times we did stay in they started closing things up at midnight ie closing the pool tables and air hockey tables down and putting the chairs beside the stage away.

The table tennis and daily shooting were free which was very good.

We had a pool view room and this was very good and well equiped. We didnt hear any noise from the other rooms.

There are balcony lights but we didnt find the switch. When we asked we were told there werent any lights.

The hotel was perfectly located in the centre of Alcudia with just a two minute walk to the busy area and a five minute walk to the beach.

The rooms were cleaned regularly and were all very nicely furnished.

The staff were extremely friendly - especially the reception staff. BE CAREFUL when booking excursions. Book with the reception and not the reps if you want to save money, but the reception work with two companies. So when you book make sure that the ticket says NO FRILLS EXCURSIONS. THey are the company with an orange logo and all their guides and reps are English and very good with the kids. The other company is not as good and the journeys take longer.

The pool area in the complex was very nice and relaxing and there were a few games and a bit of entertainment for the children.

We would definitely reccommend the hotel.

Just came back from a weeks holiday in the Sol Alcudia Centre and all I can say is we didn't want to come home.

Reception area was very impressive with marble walls and floors.

Rooms were cleaned 5 days a week, however you had the option of putting a do not disturb sign outside the door if you didn't want the cleaners to come in.

The hotel is situated right in the middle of everything. It is surrounded by bars and restaurants and the beach is literally 2 minutes walk.

The staff at the hotel are really friendly and speak good English. While we were away it was Dean's birthday and the staff very kindly brought a bottle of champagne and a letter from the hotel manager wishing him a Happy Birthday.

Entertainment was really good, as there was something for everyone. There was games for the kids around the pool area at regular intervals during the day and also games for the adults who are up for a laugh. At about 8.30pm every night there was a mini disco for the kids, which they all seemed to enjoy. Shows usually started at about 9.30 - 10pm and lasted for approximately 2 hrs. Although we would normally give a quiz night a miss we decided to stay in the hotel bar, as we were hung over, and join in the quiz, which was absolutely great. The hotel's entertainers dressed up for each of the clues to the questions and had everyone laughing. At the end of each night the entertainer's would play a few songs and drag any kids and adults up on the stage. All we can say is thank you very much to Richard and VJ for being great entertainers and making our holiday very enjoyable.

As you can see we have no bad comments and will definitely be going back to the Sol Alcudia Centre, which we highly recommend to anyone wanting a great holiday.

The location of the complex is ideal you are right in the town center and only 5 minutes from the lovely beach!

We stayed in a 1 bedroomed apartment which was very spacious. It has every thing you need for a self catering holiday and on site is a large supermarket (very handy for fresh milk and bread!) we found it not to be too expensive! We tend to not cook on holiday it is just a base for us!

There are 2 lifts by reception and we never encountered any problems with them. Reception is very clean and found the staff very polite and helpful. Also in the reception area are a couple of PC's which you can use to check your emails etc. not too sure of prices never used them!

There are 2 out door swimming pools 1 for the tots and also a larger one for us adults!

The pool area we found to be very clean and lots of sunbeds which you can't get to until 9am. Also you can hire cushions for your sunbeds and if I remember it was about 3

I'm just back for the Sol Alucida centre the hotel was very clean.

The hotel location was excellent you just had to walk out and you were in the middle of all the shops and bars and only a 5min walk to the lovely beach.

The hotel staff were never friendly and were not very helpful they were always looking you up and down giving you dirty looks.

The pool was nice but it was always really cold. The hotels entertainment well where do you start it was CRAP I was being nice giveing it 1 out of 5 they had a woman on one night and she could not sing I'm been seroius she gave me a sore head.

The rooms were really nice and clean.

Myself,my husband and two sons stayed at the Sol Alcudia centre for two weeks.

The apartments were very clean and spacious,more so than other places we have stayed. Towels were changed almost every day as was the bed linen. The cleaners do well considering we had shoes and bags and kids junk all over,need a pay rise I think.

We never tried the restaurant ,but snack bar was ok. Drinks didnt seem too pricey either. The bottled water seemed a bit pricey though. Cost a fortune on pool tables every night at one euro a time. Kids werent keen on childrens entertainment ,yongest at nine thought it was too young 4 him,and oldest at 12,well there wasnt much for him at all. So it was pool or nothing, apart from wander around the shops. Adults entertainment was not too bad,but could use more staff for shows,as you could see they were tired. Needs a bit of a rethink on that score,a bit outdated and Butlins like.

Very hard working people though and deserve all their pay and more just for perseverence.l

Lcation of hotel is excellent ,everthing on doorstep,beach, shops restaurants. Hotel staff mostly very friendly especially cleaners and pool staff. Some in supermarket were quite unsmiling and nonchalant. Supermarket also a bit expensive. We mainly shopped other places.

The swimming pool is lovely,nice and safe,clean and well cared for. The problem was that to get a sunbed you had to get down for before nine and join what we nicknamed the pool run. The poor pool lad got shoved out of the way a couple of times by the runners ,too eager to wait for him to finish his job. These people would place towels on sunbeds ,some as many as ten beds together,and then disappear leaving towels there all morning sometimes. Others had no chance after that,not until 5 o clock anyway.

I think we spent one full day by the pool in all,after deciding to do the run for once. Some people were miffed we had taken their space ,not that they said but you could see by their faces. It is such a shame this has to happen as overall this is a lovely place for families,maybe a new system could be thought up,not sure what but the way it is is totally unfair .

We would come back in future, but possibly a couple of years down the line. Lovely,lovely place and staff too.

The hotel was very clean and the only staff that were friendly were the maids !

Location was brilliant as we were right in the centre surrounded buy lots of shops and restaraunt.

We have just returned from a 2 week hol at the sol alcudia center, the hotel itself was very clean, beds were changed once a week and towels 5 times a week, there were lots of kitchen accesories, so cooking in the apartment was great.

The evening entertainment was very good apart from the fact that they have the same on every week. The entertainment girls were extremely friendly and really good with the kids.

Our hotel room got broken into on our first night and most of our valuables were stolen, the hotel staff were extremely unhelpful, not even letting us use the reception phone to cancel credit cards and travellers cheques!

They didn't seem at all surprised which makes me wonder if this is a regular thing. I would not visit here again.
