My husband, daughter and myself have just returned for two weeks at the Sol Alcudia Centre.
The hotel was adequate enough for a cheap holiday, although the room was freezing eventhough it was warm outside. Aircon/heater not working.
The noise from the night clubs at 4am was a problem with an 18 month old baby.

Very nice apartments. Friendly staff. I like to be nearer the harbour so I'll give this place a miss but that's the only reason. I would recommend these apartments

My husband, two teenage daughters and myself experienced a very enjoyable two weeks in Alcudia.
We had no complaints with the hotel at all,the staff were pleasant and the hotel clean. The rooms are a decent size and fairly well equipped, although we took our own electric kettle and toaster, which were invaluable.
We found the best time to go to the swimming pool was late afternoon when we were always able to get sunbeds. The main pool is a reasonable size although it is all one depth so smaller children would be best to use the paddling pool.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the lively resort with everything close at hand. The wonderful beach is five minutes walk away and streches for miles. It is a pleasant walk along the beach down to the port.
The town comes to life at night and there is plently of entertainment for children until midnight and adults until 5am!.The shows at the hotel are ok if you like watching dancers! If you have children "Cheers" is a very popular venue and is literally across the road from the hotel. It is also popular with adults but not worth visiting until the early hours as most people end up there when everywhere else closes.
After midnight all pubs and clubs have to keep their doors shut so noise is minimal."The Prince of Wales "is the place to be for young people.
For a good value English meal "The White Rose" is worth visiting,it is just across the road and very pleasant with friendly staff.
The only negative thing about the holiday was the unfortunate condition of the carriage horses which are used as a taxi service in the resort. Many of the horses are severely underweight, they work long hours from morning until midnight in the boiling sun, we never saw them offered water.Their feet are in appalling condition, with crude, primative, heavy shoes. The drivers like to show off to the tourists, treating the horses like machines with no respect for their delicate legs.So please, please don't take a ride in a carriage;while tourists encourage this cruelty it will never stop.
Apart from that I'm sure you'll have an excellent holiday as we did.
