We had room 625 on the top floor overlooking the pool. It was perfectly adequate and not much road noise. A bit small but ok for 2 people as you don't spent much time in it apart from sleeping. Lovely modern walk in shower.

Beach - lovely sand and very clean.
Walking - Great walks around Alcudia. Go to tourist information and they will give you a free walking guide. A particularly nice walk is to get the local bus to Puerta Pollensa then walk to Cala San Vincente. It is quite strenuous but the views are well worth it.
Cycle Hire - Good and reasonably priced. Flat roads with cycle lanes.
Entertainment - Plenty of bars in the resort centre, if you prefer more local bars head for the port area.

The resort was just what we wanted for our family holiday. Very clean with everything you could want from McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut to traditional Spanish restaurants serving paella and tappas. All were very good value for money and the portions you were served made your eyes water. I can honestly say I never went away from a restaurant feeling either ripped off or hungry.
The beach was raked over daily by mechanical devices and there was an army of beach cleaners who picked up litter. I could not fault the beach in any way. If like us you enjoy a beach holiday I think you would be hard pressed to beat this beach.
Daily there was this woman who walked up and down with a basket of fruit and the biggest machete I have ever seen. If you wanted fresh Watermelon or Pineapple she would come over and hack a big chunk off for you with her knife. How she didn't chop her hand off I will never know. We didn't buy any fruit off her though because she was expensive and the supermarket across the road from the hotel sold all you could want anyway.
We didn't use the sunloungers on the beach because we brought air beds and used them instead. By all accounts if you so much as put your beach bag on one of these beds the little man appeared so quick to take your money, so beware.
There was plenty of entertainment in the resort ranging from restaurants with singers to arcades with games. If you have kids there are plently of coin operated rides which are really cheap, it keeps them occupied for hours.
Beware of the ladies trying to braid you hair, they can be quite persistent and expensive but they generally don't bother you that much. You can buy plenty of leather goods and fake Louis Vuitton bags etc. Make sure you haggle with the men on the market stalls though, because they will try to rip you off. Keep haggling and if they persist just walk away. We found that this approach often resulted in them chasing after you down the street to accept your offer. I got a lovely purse for about ÂŁ7.00 but originally he tried to charge me ÂŁ25.00.
If like me you love shopping, go into Puerto Alcudia as there are plenty of shoe shops etc. Also there is a fabulous marina where you can admire one of the multi million pound yachts moored there (one can dream).
On a Thursday and a Sunday there is a traditional market in Alcudia's old town. Most of the stalls sell the usual rubbish but there is the traditional Majorcan goods as well. We thought the atmosphere was great and for a laugh we hired bikes and rode there. That was an experience. We havent ridden bikes since we were teenagers so you can imagine how saddle sore we were the next day. We had a right laugh though and it also afforded us the opportunity to explore parts of the town we wouldn't normally have gone to. We had ice creams on the way back and our son loved it. One the way back we stopped off at a cemetary. Sounds really morbid but it was really beautiful and peaceful. I also had the most amazing view of the area it was breathtaking.
All in all this was a fabulous base for a family holiday and we did return the next year although we stayed at a different hotel. I would return to Alcudia year after year and if I could afford it to the Ivory Playa. The price has gone up but I'm not surprised considering the standard of the accommodation, location and overall facilities and amenities available. If you can afford it book it, we couldn't fault the hotel in any way. We have many happy memories of our first familiy holiday.

The main strip in alcudia is excellent, there is everything you will ever need there and the restaurants are excellent too. The beach in alcudia is very clean with bars right on the front that serve snacks. When on the beach there is a man who comes round selling melon and pineapple and it tastes sensational. If you dont to walk to the beach which takes about ten minutes there is a boat that you can get for a pound return just outside of the bellevue apartments. The canals in alcudia are beautiful, its like a mini venice, its lovely just to sit and relax. Over all the resort is a fantastic place that suits all ages. I would reccomend it to anyone.

I thought the resort was beautiful because you were surrounded with trees ect. The beach was clean. I would visit the hotel again because the standards were up to my reputation.

Very nice resort, the harbour and town centre in one part and a tourist centre with many hotels and bars about a mile away. There are many canals bursting with fish (fishermen take their tackle), and the nearby nature reserve is more like the norfolk broads than majorca, ideal for hiring a bike and exploring the pathways.

The port was boring nothin much to do!!
No entertainment everything was eating places!! If your going to the port of Alcudia! Go self catering!!
Also the beach at the port wasn't nice it's full of seaweed and doesn't smell too friendly!
