I asked for a high room overlooking the pool and wasnt uset at the choice, as we had a room over looking the entertainment area,as long as you dont go to bed before midnight its ok, The rooms I found are smallish but adequate complete with a balcony, cleaned very well and regularly.
The food was excellent, well presented and looks good ,loads of choices with the meats and other foods cooked in front of you, the tables are clean and tidy, and overall it was a pleasure to eat, and plenty of it.I snack bar on the beach for the lunch time snacks if required.
The hotel location is posible one of the best for Thomson Gold hotels. After the large dinner you have just eaten it was nice to go for a walk and just outside the hotel doors one way is a very short walk over to the harbour area, with bars shops and other hotels, and the other way is the Cala Millor which is a small town with all the amenities of bars and entertainments depending on what you want, but a very nice walk.
The staff of the hotel is brillaint from the cleaning staff to the management, the waiters are available to take your order for drinks, the staff in the dining room are very well presented and your always greeted for dinner,it was pleasant to see the staff very well smart and well presented.
I found the entertainment to be moderate as the Thomson production team did there best, the Thomson staff made a reasonable attempt , and the resident duo was I feel the best i've seen yet.The tribute bands was very good Elvis which I personally enjoyed. The Thomson reps are busy at the pool side to keep you entertained with a variety of games and quizzes, and even Bingo I found enjoyable especially winning 280e. On any occasion that you dont want to stay in the hotel for the entertainment you have plenty of choices in the surrounding area's which is a very short walk away, and I find is good so you dont feel tied to the hotel.
The biggest shame is the pool side area you have no chance of a sun bed at the side of the pool unless you get up at 5 in the morning and put a towel on it. We had rain on one occasion and they still put the towels on the beds and these are brits how sad can they be, if we didnt have a bed on the beach adjacent we went to the sun deck on the 3rd floor, and on the deck you have the opportunity for the use of the Steam and Sauna rooms also the two jacuzzi pools which was nice to finish off the day with.
I will visit this hotel again and would recommend it to everybody there was a choice for everyone the age group of people is varied and "no kids"
well done Levante

The main gripe was staff. They seem to have cut back on staff by at least half. In the dining room, you had dirty plates stacking on the tables and had to hunt round for someone if you wanted a drink with your meal.
Food in the restaurant was mediocre (it used to be fabulous as they used to have an English chef who has now gone). The bar was not much better with only 3 waiters on during the evening entertainment, causing huge delays for drinks (we waited 35 Min's for a drink and eventually went to the bar to get it ourselves).
Watch out where you are placed for your room. Our first week was spent in a room at the front of the hotel. From 7pm to 4am every night, we were kept awake by the nightclub/bar opposite the hotel playing extremely loud music.
We asked rooms to be changed and eventually got one for our second week that overlooked the entertainment 'patio'. This was much better.
The reps were dreadful. They were between 19 and 23 and treated people like they were on an 18-30 holiday, making sexual innuendo's all the time and trying to get people 'up and about'.
Considering the average age of people here is 50+, most people wanted to laze round the pool, not be irritated by screaming reps running around. The cafe on the beach is nice. They serve a wide range of food and also offer poolside service (which is nice).
We had no-one on our coach to meet us, no reps at the hotels to meet us and no-one saw us off on departure or on the coach on the way back. Thomson's have really gone downhill.
This is a 3* hotel purporting to be a 4*. Have stayed at other Gold Hotels much better than this.

Food very good always with a choice of 2 soups, salad, 4 meats, 2 fish, 4 types of potatoes, plus a freash hot plate, cheese and sweets etc,Food is very English and noting to experiment with that you may expect in a different country, but whet they do offer is good.
All rooms have a balcony but if you are not at the front there is no view and so the balcony is a bit useless.
There is entertainment every night in the hotel or across the road, bit dull in the Levante Park but planty of other people watched it and I,m sure enjoyed it.
Easy to catch the public bus to most places with the bus stop being 5 minutes walk away.
The rooms are kept clean and no prblems experienced with any part of the hotel.
Makes for a easy going type of holiday.

Hotel location was just right.
I was very disappointed to find that the hotel let children in in the evening from other apartments to watch the entertainment,as there was not enough places for guests to sit down on the terrace to watch the shows, and as this was a gold hotel we thought no children ,but also found children useing pool until we told them to go. We were very disappointed.
Not enough sun beds around the pool area and all taken by 8am.

There`s a brilliant sun-deck on the 3rd floor and was fantastic ! The free sauna and jaccuzi was great. Val enjoyed it tremendously and the deck was quiet and very very hot! It has automatic shades(close when the wind gets up).
We called the deck"The Punishment Deck" cos we missed the pool beds `cos we stayed in bed late and enjoyed our holiday !!!
The staff are the secret behind this hotel, they seen genuinely happy to be there and to see you.Food top-notch,location couldn`t be better, I found the resort has improved over the last few years and must be one of the nicest places for a holiday.
One complaint. Why do people(especially our German mates) love those multi-passenger bikes?????

The rooms were of good size for the two of us,with stunning views over looking the sea. You were given a card which you used to turn on the power and aircon in your room. However the slot would take any card so you could leave the aircon on all day. ( Matalan, AA, Phone card ect. )
The pool side entertainment by the reps was pretty good too, even the prizes were worth winning.
Dont miss the water arobics every morning at 11.00.
Food in the hotel was first class, with Fish and/or Meat cooked to order by the chef. You must try the freshley made pancakes with brandy and sugar, you will be back for more. There was a good assortment of salad and cold meats and cheese available.
The deserts I could of lived on.
Hotel staff were always friendly towards you, with good English.
Only complaint was the nightly entertainment, this could of been down to it being world cup week.
Am I going back, well I was there last year and this,
you bet I am. See you next year Levante.
On a sour note though, the sun beds had towels on them from six in the morning. This was very annoying.
But at least there were no kids to be seen.

Although they were quite small, were well equiped, we found the fridge very useful, and a couple of complaints ( hair dryer and bedside light not working) were dealt with immediately.
The food was the very best, a huge selection, with something for every taste. The hotel was right on a small beach in a fairly quieter side of town, prefect for us.
The staff were very pleasent, friendly and helpful, all with excellent English.
The biggest disappointment of the holiday was the entertainment, being in larger group we would have liked to stay in the hotel together in the evenings, but the one lady helped by a few dancers one night and man on an organ another, left much to be desired.
There was very little going in the day and two days out of the seven there was nothing, because of staff training.
This side of the holiday was a big let down.

Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the street the balcony had table 2 chairs and a line. At first I was disappointed not being able to see the beach but as the room had the sun in the afternoon it was nice to sit and watch the world go by.
Food was very good, there was plenty of choice for even the fussiest of eater's. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As seems to be the norm, sunbeds were reserved with towels.
I wish that the inconsiderate persons who do this could have their towels removed so as everyone has a chance. We never had a sunbed and went onto the beach instead where there was a lot more room.
We still had the bar service on the beach, which was great. Snack bar was good value and good choice of lunches or snacks.
Entertainment team were very good and worked very hard. Most of the main acts were v good although the gap fillers could have been better.
We would definately go back to the Levante but would pay the extra for the sea view rooms. British newspapers are available at reception.
All in all a lovely relaxing time was had at the Levante and we both look forward to returning.
