Your typical Thomsons Gold hotel - no children, daytime activities and evening entertainment aimed at middle aged British clientele.

We could'nt really fault much at this hotel.

The sauna and jacuzzi with sun deck on the third floor is an neat attraction if you prefer a change from the poolside or the small beach right in fron of the hotel.

There was Bingo each evening, for 15/20 minutes only, with a Euro cash prize, harmless fun - then the main entertainment. We had a very funny comedian on two nights and an excellent (very professional) singer on another. The resident duo were fine.

Hotel was clean and decoration was ok including the hallways, strange but true. Not a great deal of outside space, could be fun trying to get a sun bed in the high season as theres not many around the small pool. plenty of choice for food but felt that the quality just was nt there.expected more from a year round hotel.Staff were good but not the most talkative. Location was a bit naff althrough there is other resorts within walking distance.Would recommend a car as you can only walk to the same old places so many times.Entertainment is fantastic if you like Bingo, althrough in fairness the Reps do a good job and are helpful, island knowlage could have been a little better.Beach right in front of the hotel was a discrace.DSI.

Over all we had a great time at The Lavante and there were a lot of people there that had been going for years so that says a lot.The only really bad point was the sun beds around the pool,if you want one you need to be up by 7.00am to reserve one or you can forget it,but there are beds with brollies on the beach for 10.50 euros a day for 2.The only other slight problem for us was the food although very nice it was very English most of the time. The entertainment was very good what we saw of it and the tompson team also work hard to keep the people occupied that want it.We will go back sometime in the future

we stayed at the levante park in july 2008. we are a young couple (aged 21 and 22) and after reading reviews that the hotel was very much for the 40+ age group we were somewhat dreading our decision to stay there - this all changed when we arrived.
the hotel was extreemly clean and the rooms were lovely. our balcony oversaw the pool and sea, so the view was amazing. our linen was changed regularly and there was a fridge in our room just big enough to store cold drinks. The hotel staff were very friendly towards us and couldnt do enough to help if needed. there is a rep on site every day which was surprising as previous holidays the rep was impossible to find.
Although the reviews we read were correct, in that most of the guests were a lot older than us - we by no means felt out of place. on our first day we went to the beach as we had not realised you needed to get up very early to secure a sun lounger by the pool. the second day and every day after that however we did stay by the pool.
there was regular entertainment poolside that although was aimed at audiences older than us was good and we found ourselves participating in most of the activities. which really was a laugh!
we were well looked after at the hotel not just by the staff but by the other guests who we had a good joke with. the hotel has a lovely atmosphere in that there is a little community formed and it was nice to be a part of.
the food was good, there was a massive selection catering for many many tastes. with either a selection of pre prepared courses or you can opt to have meat or fish cooked fresh. we did eat out one day but the food was no where as good as on site.

we did not attend any of the evening entertainment, at the levante park there is a pianist who plays most nights - however from what we saw the entertainment at the levante which is situated directly opposite was a lot better and some of the nights were very tempting and sounded very good.

there is on site telephones and internet access which is very cheap and we found ourselves using the internet to contact home when neccissary rather than the phones.

overall we were chuffed and somewhat surprised by the hotel. we really had a great holiday and would definately return to the levante park.

Food was fine and lots of it. Location good with shops and bars to wander round. Our biggest gripe was sunbeds. 180 sunbeds by the pool and 86 had towels on by 6.45 on the morning I counted. With 200 rooms in this hotel and guests from the Levante Park using the beds too, no wonder they were in short supply. The Thompson duo who led the games and quizzes worked hard but were obviously inexperienced. The evening entertainment was excellent at times (loved the Westlife tribute band) but mediocre at others. Two sachets of shower gel and two small soaps were left in our bathroom on the first day and never replaced. After years of travelling with Thompsons, if this is what they consider 4 star then we shall now go elsewhere.

On arrival we were impressed by the cleanliness in all areas and our room was kept spotless throughout. The food was very varied and plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The main advantage of the hotel is that you can use the facilities of the sister hotel, Levante, which is just across the road. The hotel is under five minutes walk to Cala Bona harbour and about fifteen minutes to Cala Millor a fantastic resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful the only complaint was not being able to get a sun bed unless you were prepared to get up very early and reserve one.The entertainment was low key in the hotel but the main acts were across the road at the sister hotel.
Overall we had a great holiday and are going back to the same hotel in 2009.

Not the classiest Gold hotel we've stayed at, but by far the best vfm. Only lacking in sunbeds around the pool, but, to be fair, managed to find one when required. Stayed whilst 'Tourist Week' was on, the Queen tribute band being the highlight (on the harbour).
Will definitely return one day.

Well what can I say! This was a great hotel and we enjoyed everything about our stay.

The food was first class especially on the gala dinner nights.

The entertainment was very good although a bit heavy on the tribute bands! We had a good laugh at the Jackson 5. Despite trying very hard, Michael didn't sound anything at all like him. If anything the other 4 did! Still it was good fun!

The hotel was very clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you!

On the sun bed fiasco, the day we left we were up at five and looking over our balcony we saw at least half a dozen people sneaking round to put there towels on the sun beds and it was still dark! What a way to spend your holiday. Very sad!

I would recommmend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here after dreadful week on Thomson Destiny.
Hotel is spotless and how lovely to have water on arrival! Our cleaner was lovely too and gave me a chance to practise my Spanish.
Excellent food. Lots of choice, no matter how fussy you are. Love the way they cook specific meat items! Waiters were excellent.
Staff outstanding. Very pleased with Spanish and English staff. Some of the reps are a bit immature. I feel some of them ought to work at Club 18-30. They'd fit in better there!
Entertainment superb. I loved the tribute to the Temptations. They were superb.
The only act that was disappointing was one comedian who told jokes that were embassingly "old school". He was described as a throw back. More like throw-up. He did a bit about old tv adverts and I'd never heard of them (I'm 34 and I love tv!). He also did racist jokes and homophobic jokes which I find offensive.
The only odd thing is the no children policy. During the entertainment there are families and because it is close to the beach many families are nearby. One evening when I went to the toilets in Reception, there were small boys in there and they were clearly unaccompanied!
My friend warned me that couples only hotels tend to have old people, but I would disagree. I was older than many of the guests.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who likes 4 star luxury.
