Much improved facilities and entertainment, the cleanliness of the beach is very good, raked in the evenings regularly, The only minus was. The "Bar La Musica" around the back of the Cala Bona Hotel has closed!
It was a "must visit" Jauquim(spelling?) and Jackie have retired, shame ,but thanks for the entertainment you provided over the years,it was an oasis for music lovers.
YES YES we will be back , hopefully in 2007 if we can, p.s. lets keep this Cala Bona a secret, we don`t want it ruined do we?

Cala Bona is a lovely resort, ideal for older people as it is very flat, also wheelchairs etc. The harbour has had a lot of work done this year and is really lovely now. We spent most nights down there as it was lovely to sit with a drink and watch the fishing boats coming back in at night. I hope to go back many times yet.

We stayed at the Alica which is in Cala Bona. There is a wide promenade linking both Cala Bona and Cala Millor and you can walk for miles. Both resorts are very flat and easy to get around, both walking and with ample bike hire available as well. This is ideal for wheel chair disabled because it is so flat. Both resort and beaches were very clean, no litter in sight and bins appear to be emptied every night. The beaches around Cala Bona are quite rocky, but it is only just a short walk to Cala Millor beach which is a lovely sandy beach. The only thing about Cala Millor is that there are rather a lot of Germans there, but more English around Cala Bona. I don't really know much about the night life, because as our Hotel entertainment was very good, we did not need to venture out at night, but most seems to revolve around the hotels.

Cala Bona is a fantastic resort. Although admittedly not for those looking for a clubbers paradise it has got something for everyone.
On my first visit to this resort 3 years ago my mum and I found we were at a bit of a loss as to what to do in the evening, I (being 23) didn't fancy sitting through an evening of bingo and Bee Gees tribute bands (and neither did Mum)! After our 1st night we asked our Thompson Rep where we could go, he thankfully directed us to Sanddancers and we returned there every night! Faz and Tracey (the owners) make everybody feel welcome, drinks are reasonably priced and the entertainment is fanastic.
Faz is a one man band, hosting the Karaoke, belting out some numbers himself, telling jokes... some good... some bad!
Great venue for couples and families alike as there is a safe childrens area, cinema and free Play Staion games to keep the little ones amused but out of the way of those wating a 'grown up' drink! Never had a bad night in Sanddancers, It's FAB!
As for the rest of the resort, beaches are good, heard that the one in Cala Millor is better than the one in Cala Bona. I'd suggest walking out to the end of one of the rocky jetties in Cala Bona though and taking a swim, the water is crystal clear and really warm, even at 9 in the morning!
Cala Millor has a few clubs if you fancy extending your evening but most nights Sanddancers closing time was ample enough!
Cala Bona is great, I really don't see how anyone could regret going there.... I certainly don't and will be returning AGAIN next year.

The Cala Bona area is exellent for a nice quiet holiday, it is mainly flat with Cala Millor a short walk up the front. The harbour in the opposite direction is a nice place to go, even if its just to feed the fish.
Theres a couple of good restaurants in that area too.
Check out the English butty shop on the way, spot on for that afternoon snack, well priced as well.
Beaches were great, back next year.
Again it was world cup week, and many of the bars had football on, but I am sure that is not the norm.

Cala Bona is without doubt one of the best resorts on the north east coast, it is ideal for anyone from 1 to 101, with its flat coastline and fantastic sea views. The entertainment is second to none on the island, we have seen every act from Abba to Tina Turner, and many besides. Since the resort of Cala Bona has been refurbished, it is now one of the best on Mallorca, you would do well to use it as a base to explore the north and east of the island.

April is not quite in the season but as the days went on more and more shops and bars opened.
Cala Bona harbour area was being pedestrianised in early April but was nearly finished. I will return again to see the end product.

Cala Bona was keeped very clean, but there was quite alot of building work going on near the hotel which made it noisy and dusty at times.
The resort entertainment was quite quiet, but is was early in the season.
The beaches were small but clean and well kept.

Being the winter season there was very little open which is why I have given the entertainment a low rating. Beach is small but you can easily walk to Cala Millor which has a superb beach.
