I think the shops in Cala Bona were nice to walk around. And the cafe (thalassa) in the habour was brilliant.
Overall Cala Bona was my dream holiday and I wouldnt have changed a thing, I thought it was so good im coming back in the middle of Sep 2007 for 14 days again and I'm looking forward to coming back.

I'm glad we were staying in Cala Bona though we walked to Cala Millor most evenings and went on the beach there. Theres a lovely harbour, good restaurants and plenty of shops.
We were abit disappointed with the 'glass bottom boat' trip as you whizz along that quick that you dont actually see anything. I had visions of the boat stopping and us all peering into the water looking at amazing sea life (not!) Oh, and maybe not a good idea if you get sea sick - Alot of people were sick on our boat, so much so that many of us caught the bus back to cala bona!!!!
I have been to far worse places though and would recommend cala bona. Much nicer than Sa Coma.

Cala Bona is a typical small spanish resort which suited us as it is more family orientated than some of the larger resorts.
There is plenty to do and it has a nice promenade, small harbour etc to walk round in the evening.
Plenty of bars etc but nothing too rowdy. Cocktails very nice and good fun at the Tropical Paradise.
Loads of restaurants too although we did not sample these due to being half board and happy with the hotel food.
Beach is a bit rocky but Cala Millor beach is nicer and only short walk from The Alicia.

Cala Millor is a very beautifull place, it borders with cala Bona, there is a saying over there, fish on the floor your in cala millor, fish a gonna your in cala Bona, which is true, on the pavement on the sea front there are pictures of fish and you can see where they stop and start.
There are 3 main English pubs that are excellent for ENGLISH entertainment and ENGLISH food.
The Rose and Crown, with Bingo, quizzes and karaoke, and the owner is a very good enteratiner, with a brilliant voice, and excellent jokes.
The British Bulldog lovely food, bingo, quizzes and karaoke.
The Liverpool Bar which has the same as the other 2, but we did prefer the Rose and Crown.
The beach and sea where spotless and beautiful. We would visit the resort again but defianatly not the hotel

You must visit the cocktail bar on the way to Cala Millor. Not only for the drinks but to watch the owners work their customers. Very professional and welcoming! And the cocktails were great!

Cala Bona was a quiet and peaceful resort but 10min walk and you were in Cala Millor which is very lively.

I was pleasantly suprised to see how the resort has developed since visiting many years ago. The pretty harbour area is the best place in the evenings with street entertainers and live music from the Cala Bona hotel. The beaches are not as good as at cala millor but we found the beach in front of the Levante Hotel ideal as there was a good beachside snack bar (part of the Levante Hotel (Thomson Gold)) Good toilets and showers. They were meant for Levante guests only but we still used them. Most of the harbour restaurants are very good would recommend Janet and Johns, Smithy's and for the best scampi ever the Val Mari -next door to Janet and Johns. There is a really nice Italian restaurant called Paparazzi at the far end of the marina but be warned it is very popular but you can book and as we were a party of 10 this was great.

Plenty of places to go for a drink, around by the harbour is lovely in the evening with a lovely breeze coming of the sea.
Also very good chinese resturant around the bay and very reasonable to eat there.
