We arrived to be informed the hotel was over booked and we had to go over to the Corfu hotel! 3 other families and the same problem on the same day!
This used to be a good hotel but its standards have slipped sharply. We have been here 5 times since 2000 but this time around it had lost its sparkle. The staff have been halved and they are worked off their feet. Their is less choice of food and most of it is cold by the time you get to eat it.
There are many good reviews on here for this hotel but I can only say that their expectations are not high. As 3 star hotels go this has now become very average and I'm afraid that this hotel and its sister hotel are being run down, I'd expect these hotels to be closed down within 5 - 10 years. If you want a noisy time at night with a lot of shouthing, laughing and chair movement then come here, if you want a more relaxing time then avoid the Skorpios.
Alas we used to love this place but it has become so dire now we will not return again, it's a sad day.

From the day we arrived to the day we left we found the hotel to be spotless, even at end of season, with none of the end of season repairs needing done. The staff were friendly and hard working and could not do enough to make our holiday a success.
The rooms were fresh, and kepy clean on a daily basis and if you wanted clean towels each day, just leave them in the bath.
The food was of a high standard and anyone who could not get something to eat from vast selection should be thinking of going to a 5 star hotel not all inclusive. The staff were always clearing up and replacing the food containers evn up to the time the restuarant closed.
The snack bars were also of a high standard and again a happy bunch of staff.
I was happy to see that we did not have to go up to the terrace bar for drinks as the poolside bar shared by Scorpious (Sister hotel)is now supplying drinks to the Marina Corfu guests.
The entertainment staff deserve a big thumbs up. Great enthusiasm and talent. We stayed for 2 weeks and all the acts brought in were of a high standard. The program appears to repeat on a 2 week cycle. The entertainment for adults was great and the competition between the different nationalities, male and female was ofa high standard, so if you go to this hotel join in and make the most of the activities. The more you put into it the more you get out of the holiday.
I would say that the hotel may well be busy in the summer months but would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to all type of parties young or old.
Would I go back to this Hotel, if the lottery comes up at weekend would book up for a solid month of rest & recuperation

If you are looking for a family holiday, with children, say under 15, this is the place for you...you will all love it!
The Hotel has its own private cove, so the beach is directly between the sister hotels.
Bar the odd jelly fish, the sea is shallow around the cove and safe for youngsters.
The Hotels have two large main pools and a childrens seperate pool, with life guards 90% of the time.
The Hotel is very clean and the rooms are fine, though not massive, if a family of 4 are staying in them.
Staff are very friendly, though when the Spanish or Italian tourists jump the bar queue, as they dont seem to believe in queueing, the staff are more than happy to serve them.
A lot of day activities, too many to name, for children and parents, but no pressure to join in if you dont want to.
Food is varied, as other people have put, bit like Butlins, but always a variety of international dishes, buffet style, so you help yourself, to what and how much you want and they have always got an "english" meal available.
Fully inclusive saves you a bomb, if you have children like mine, that want endless drinks, icecreams and food!
Book direct as it can save you up to

We could not fault the hotel and the way it is ran. Lots of young children there so peace while sunbathing is a luxury. The only down side was the noise at night and in the morning.
I did request a lower floor but if I went again would opt for a higher floor. We had a magnificent view of the cove but unfortunately was above the bar which although closed at midnight, a few hangers on would stay around until 2 or 3.
The food was excellent and even appeased my very fussy 11 year old son. We really did save a fortune all inclusive.
The entertainment was a bit dire. We did have a four tops tribute which was good. The reps tried hard but it was a bit amateurish.
There are a few bars in Cala Egos that provide entertainment and would recommend a night at the Sonamar which is a very elaborate cabaret and meal.
Would visit again.

Our first impression of the Marina Corfu was that it was clean and welcoming. The reception staff were friendly and informative on our arrival, and continued to be helpful throughout our stay.
We had received a letter form our tour operator explaining that the Corfu and its neighbour hotel the Skorpios are now operating as a "complex" and could therefore be allocated to either building. However, we were housed in our hotel of choice (not that this would have mattered!)
The rooms were surprisingly big compared to other family rooms we have stayed in. Twin beds plus a double - with plenty of room between them - plus a sofa for our comfort.
There was also a kettle, fridge and hairdryer included. Whilst our towels were changed every day, and the bathroom was well cleaned, my only criticism is that the bed sheets were not changed as often as usual.
We are also usually envious when we don't get a sea or pool view room - we were lucky on this occasion - only to find that they all overlooked the entertainment stage too - which meant if we had an early night, we had to suffer the noise. However, everything knocked off by midnight - so it wasn't too much of a problem.
There's a small pool at the Corfu - but most people make for the big pools at the Skorpios. It's all contained within the same grounds - so this isn't inconvenient. The usual game of "Reserve the Sunbed" was played out each morning - with the Brits being the worst offenders. But we were always lucky to get a "fixed" lounger and an umbrella going down by 9.30am. Some people were just so territorial - no need as there was plenty of room and plenty of beds!
The pool bar served "All-Inc" drinks from 10am to midnight, and the terrace bar also served snacks from 10am - 6pm. The measures were amazing - I asked for a Baileys and got a half-pint glass!! It helps to tip the staff - they work really hard - and they show their appreciation in the service.
The children were delighted to be able to go up to the bar themselves and order their own drinks - they even did kids cocktails! The ice creams were the type you usually get in the hotel restaurants - but OK, and there were also basic iced lollies available. Anything "branded" was at an extra charge.
The meals were a bit "hit or miss". My husband struggled on some occasions - but generally we found something we liked. Bearing in mind there are lots of different nationalities staying here - there are a lot of people to keep happy, I guess.
On lunch times, we tended to give the main restaurant a miss and eat at the snack bar. They served hot dogs, burgers and chips for the kids; kebabs, baguettes and salads for us - perfectly adequate.
The entertainment staff work really hard to keep you occupied, and I was disappointed to see that they've been criticised in other reviews I had read. They kick off around 10am with games and sports throughout the day and don't finish until midnight after the mini disco and professional acts. OK, some of the evening entertainment was a bit naff - but again, you have consider all guests.
The mini golf course was another welcome distraction - you needed to hire the equipment from reception for 3 euros (children) 5 euros (adults) - and then you kept it for the duration of your holiday.
The beach was between the 2 hotel s- again - no need to leave the grounds. It was a nice sandy stretch - the only problem was the jelly fish. Despite the Reps denial - they were still stinging, and we witnessed a few incidents. Apparently the bar staff keep neat ammonia in the event of an attack!
All in all, we had a great holiday - we are certainly sold on the idea of an All Inclusive break in the future and would certainly look to try another hotel in the Marina Chain.

We had an excellent holiday at Delfin Verde Marina in Alcudia last year and decided to book one of their other hotels in a different resort. We weren't disappointed.
I had e-mailed the hotel several weeks before arrival and requested a sea view, which we were given. The room was spacious even though there were 3 beds and there was ample storage for the 3 of us. Also the added benefit of a small fridge. The room was cleaned daily and overall the whole hotel was kept immaculate by the hardworking maids.
There are two swimming pools with separate kids pools, one specific to Corfu Marina and the other shared with it's sister hotel Skorpios, which was reached by steps which also led down to the beach. We tended to use this one, as it was far bigger and didn't get as crowded. The only downside (apart from getting a buggy up and down the steps) was that the shared bar next to this pool wasn't all inclusive, as Skorpios is half board. This meant you either had to pay or walk all the way back past the pool down a slope and then up 30 odd stairs to get a drink!
Having read other reviews, it seems as though entertainment is also held down by this bar. This didn't happen the whole time we were there, so it wasn't a problem at night.
There was also the usual 'early laying' of towels, although we never struggled to get one before 10 am.
There is a lovely beach between Corfu and Skorpios Hotels. We tended to leave our stuff by the pool and then went for a paddle in the sea when we felt like it. The water was actually warmer than the pool!
There were activities going on all day for both kids and adults if you wanted to join in. The entertainment in the evening started with Kids mini disco around 8.30 pm and then finished with some form of show/singing which started at 10.00 pm and finished around 11.30 pm.
Although our room was more or less directly over the entertainment stage, we weren't disturbed on the nights we went up earlier.
The food is what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. Generally there was a good variety and it was good quality, although it did go downhill for a couple of days. Kids buffet only opened on our last day, which was rather strange since the previous week had been Half term.
All in all we had a great time. Everyone was extremely friendly and we met some great people. It's a brillant place for families and we would go back again. Our 2 year old had an absolute whale of a time and spent the majority of the time racing round with other children he'd met.
Shop around for the best deal. We went for 11 nights having booked independantly and had paid far less than people who were there for 7 nights as a package!

Staff were very friendly and made the stay welcome. Rooms were very big and were cleaned every day. Pool area and seperate beach attached to Hotel was ideal and can't wait to return!!

Own beach.
Room overlooked bay - what a great way to start the holiday by walking in the room, opening the patio curtains and seeing the bay - wow.
Only a small way away from the resort, so 4 1/2 if I could award it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Saved loads of money through the fact that children are able to get unlimited drinks, crisps, ice creams and lollies from the hotel bar.
Food was excellent - buffet style had food for even the fussiest eaters.
Used the creche on 3 occasions, the 2 yr old was happy gave her time to chill out, out of the sun.
Location couldn't have been better directly beside a lovely beach - about a 2 min walk to small resort of Cala Egos where you'll find shops, bars and restaurants.
only went to entertainment on a couple of occasions but found it to be of a good standard.
Hotel pool area seemed very good, what I also found exceptional was the fact that there was life guards around the beach and pool areas.
Overall this hotel would be great for a relaxing family break however may not be suitable for teenagers as not a lot for them to do.
Also just a quick note transfer time to this resort is about 1 and half hours - does seem longer though!!
