my family and i went to the bellvedere in the san agustin,cala mayor area of majorca.

the resort itself was very dirty and run down but it is a surburban area and we expected it to be a little bit like that,however palma nova and the beaches were ideal for a trip out and a macdonalds was a welcome change for the children.

the hotel area was lovely grassy and scenic pool/bar area very clean,spacious.the kids pool was great although very near to the park so if the little ones are playing in park they have to be watched in case they go near pool!.

plenty of chairs and lylo's and the outdoor pizza's were lovely as was the rotissere chicken that was available from the bar area, the alcoholic drinks were nice and strong sometimes too strong!!!!!

the entertainment was run by a small italian group of hotel reps and a lot was based on audience participation which was good about 75% of the time and nothing was planned the two days it rained so we were bored out of our heads, in fairness they worked non stop and had to repeat things in a few languages which must get on your nerves when you have to do it everynight.

the restaurant and food were fantastic the presentation was great and the childrens small serving area was good,the staff at first looked on in horror at the mess my kids made and the food they wasted but after a few days they were quite friendly and helpful.

most of the outside bar staff were friendly but as long as they could understand what i wanted it was ok.

the rooms were also clean and i felt sorry for the maids cleaning up our mess everyday!you felt that you could leave things and they would not touch them,they werent introsive they would just make the beds put our nightwear under pillow and leave lots of fresh clean towels.

so basically this is a highly recommended hotel,with a free bus to take you into palma nova and a local bus takes you to palma itself but be careful when waking anyway because they just dont do paths!!!

also another word of caution we put our little ones in the nursery in the hotel a few times which may seem great because its open all day /night but there was no lock on the door and my youngest ran out when she saw me approaching and the lady looking after them did not notice that she had opened the door ,so after that we would go down and take little peeps too see that they were still in the room.

We visited this holtel in May and its one of the best Holidays we have had.

The hotel was spotless and your towels would be change if you left them on the floor ( even though the brochure stated it would only be twice a week.

We couldn't complain about the food there was something for everyone even a small servery for the children, and if by chance there was nothing you liked you could always go round the pool where the freshly cooked chickens were beautiful.

Ok the location wasn't brilliant but all inclusive hotels are usually out of the way a bit because if the Hotels are as good as this one you've no need to venture out. But if you did you could take advantage of the FREE bus provided by the Hotel to Palma Nova where there are lots of shops and a beautiful beach.

The Hotel staff did seam a bit shy but I don't think anything was meant by it, because we found if you took the time to talk to them they would certainly get involved in conversation and maybe a little dance.

The animation team WHAT CAN I SAY: ABSOLOUTLY BRILLIANT. Those guys worked so hard from morning to night and your Holiday is what you make it if you get involved and join in the games you will have such a good laugh, and that what its all about.

My children loved the animation team they loved the Holiday so much we have just booked again for next year.

A few words just to let everybody know the holiday was fantastic. We could not fault a thing. Everyone was so friendly and worked so hard. No one should be disappointed if they go because there is something there for everyone.

The hotel was fantastic, very spacious and extremely clean. Although the brochure said the towels and the beddings are changed 3 times a week, the maid changed them everyday.
The pool was just as good, and we enjoyed it very much. We went to palma nova beach, as well as magaluf to see the dolphin show, on the free bus (just tell the driver if he could take you through magaluf, and later pick you up).
I haven't met staff who are as nice as those working at the hotel. they are all very helpful and extremely friendly. the entertainment team wete also amazing, and did their best to get everyone involved in the activities which took place during the day as well as during the evening shows.
However, there are also few downsides. the rooms do not have air con, which made it almost impossible to sleep in, because it was so hot! the area is very quiet, and not a lot to do during the evening other than watch the shows. there is no music allowed outside the hotel at any point, as the area is residential, and the neighbours will complain. the lights around the pool are switched off at 11 pm, so after that, there is not much to do. this was quite dissapointing, as we wanted to enjoy ourselves, not go to bed at the same time as we would do at home.
appart from that, we have enjoyed our stay, and we may return in the future.

This hotel is very clean with maid service daily, the staff are very helpful and friendly and we felt very safe in the knowledge that we could leave anything in our rooms and it would not be touched.

The food is plentiful with all tastes catered for whether eating in the self-service buffet restaurant or around the poolside. Similarly drinks are available freely around the complex.

We particularly enjoyed the entertainment provided by the superb animation team who we became very close to and lead to us booking again for October. They were very professional and included everyone in their activities, no matter what nationality or age/fitness etc. They work very long hours and still manage to put on superb cabaret shows in the evenings.

Just got back from the belvedere and i can honestly say i thought it was excellent, lovely hotel and really clean, maids in every day cleaning rooms and making beds, the pool area is fantastic with a pizzaria, grill and snack bar and the pool itself has an excellent design. palma nova is about 10 minutes away by hotel bus, and a tip is to go in Palma nova about 11.30, otherwise it will be packed any earlier than that. germans are all over but not a problem,well only when getting on the bus they don't know how to queue.The restaurant is very good and the staff work very hard to keep it clean and up together,probably the worst thing about the restaurant from my point of view, is that they only served tea/coffee at breakfast, for lunch and dinner it was only cold drinks, but at least after any meal you could go to the pool and get what ever you want.Drinks are plentiful and the beer is good, if you ask for a short of anykind, they are large with over half the glass being filled with alcahol. Entertainment staff have a good program and performed at night as different acts, then a disco afterwards. Some of the staff are very friendly while others are focused on thier job. I also rented a room safe but shortly found that i did not really need to worry it felt so safe at the hotel and even the maids did not move anything in the room, i know this because i left 10 euro's on the dressing table,also video camera, phone and other items and the room was cleaned and nothing was touched. probably the worst of the whole experience was going down the hill into cala mayor and the trying to walk back up about 250 steep steps, but saying that there is a great Karaoke bar at the bottom of the hill called scots corner. All in all a great holiday, i will definately be going back.

Lovely hotel with huge pool, jacuzzi. Only problem being it was sea water !! Not mentioned in brochure. Food very appetizing and varied. Rooms/hotel very clean but family rooms of 4 people without bunk beds were incredibly cramped. Found the hotel seemed to cater more for the Germans than the english ie, german entertainment/tv stations etc. Entertainment room very small. Miniclub for kids very good. Plenty of bars around the pool with very small queues (if at all). Food around the pool was first class offering pizza, kebabs, toasties, chips,salad etc. Local shop around the corner or other shops down a lot of steps.
