The hotel is spotless the staff are constantly cleaning.

The food is excellent catering for all. My son is an extremely fussy vegetarian and he found enough to eat. There is pizza, bbq food, chips, chicken, fish fingers, salad, toasted sandwiches all situated outside around the pool.

Drinks are unlimited for children and adults regardless of what we had read previously. The location is a bit run down outside with grafitti on the walls as you enter San Augustin but it is very good grafitti!! I was impressed.

If you want to go to the beach the one at the bottom of the hill is beautiful but it's a bit of a trek. It costa 3euros for a taxi back up which is a godsend when you got children. We tended to get the bus to Palma nova, but beware of the "Germans & Italians" terrible manners!! We were first in a very long queue they all pushed their way to the front. The bus was full within minutes. My husband and father did not have a seat a young Italian lady was sat behind me savin 4seats for her friends refussed to give them up!!Even after a mouthful!Could not believe it!!

The swimming pool was fab very modren with two massive jacuzzies. The lifeguard was lovely but he has no messing. we went the last week of July first week of August always got 8 sunbeds at 9am!! So no need to get up early.

The entertainment staff were absolutely amazing, talking in at least 6 languages!!! Takes 1hour to play one game of bingo!! 1line 2lines 1full house = 1hour!!!Juicy (Josie) and Malfred ran the free kids club (10:30 till 1pm & 3pm till 5pm), They were brilliant the children loved them.

The entertainment staff were great Marvin is an extremely camp macho man (if you can be)who can half dance he is fab and very funny!!Alexandria is beautiful she is also an amazing dancer. Within our 2week stay only once did outside entertainment come into the hotel, which did let the holiday down. We were used to having entertainment at least 5 times a week. The entertainment staff do a brilliant job with what they got, I take my hat off to them all.

The rooms are very clean but quite small but you don't go on holiday to stay in your room do you? Towels changed everyday if you leave them on the floor.

This is the first time we have been All Inclusive and we all thought the food was great, the kids loved the snacks.

The hotel was very clean throughout and the maid service was great, changing your towels every day if needed. The staff were also pleasent when asked about anything, and the entertainment during the day was great although I wasn't that impresed with it in the evening.

The only thing that I could say might have put me off a bit was the location as outside the hotel the place was very run down, but there was everything we needed in the hotel. We didn't need to leave it that much anyway.

Would consider going back as the kids loved it.

The hotel overall was excellent. Good points were the food, accommodation, garden and pool area. One major bad point is the hotel had no air conditioning in any bedrooms - had a ceiling fan which was not ideal for the hot weather we had.

The hotel was situated in a residential area and there was not much to do outside the complex.

The entertainment at night was very very poor for adults. This hotel catered for mainly children and the entertainment likewise.

A courtesy bus was available throughout the day up until 6.30pm to Palma Nova. If you chose to go on your own at night in a taxi it costs approx. 12-15 euros.

This is a good hotel if you are looking for a peaceful break away from it all!

We will never go back to ths Hotel again.

We spent alot of money on this holiday and had to spend even more by going out of hotel to eat and drink I would not serve this food up to a pig it was that bad.

The entertainment was fine if you were Italian on German what they were going on about I would not have had a clue all we got was a massive headache.

I just thank god we never had two weeks in this place we wanted to come home after the 1st day If you went out of the hotel down to the main high street you took your life into your own hands (being the road was very narrow many bends and fast cars).

Hotel room was adequate cleaned every day towels changed every day bed linen is supposed to be changed 3 times a week but ours never were changed at all. Bar staff need to have face lifts to make them smile and expect frothy beer the way they slam them down on the bar.

Apart from that the hotel itself is very nice very big over 900 rooms, and to be honest they really do not cater for the English. Would we go back again - never ever again.

Before we went on this holiday we read "holiday truths" regularly and some of the comments made us wonder what it would be like but we were pleasantly suprised.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the pool was absolutly fantastic. The food was nice but after about a week you had tried everything (several times!) and were sick of the sight of it, we found a lovely Indian resturant just down the hill!!!

The entertainment was really poor but we were not that bothered as the kids seem to enjoy it (they didnt understand it but they enjoyed it!).

The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels changed, if you left them on the floor. The staff were, well neither here nor there really as most of them just looked bored to death.

The free courtesy bus was a life saver and Palma beach is lovely. The Pirates trip is well worth the money its a fantastic night out and you get a meal included in the price so that was a realy bonus!

Hi
Having just come back from a wonderful holiday at the Belvedere I felt I had to write this review to compliment the hotel, food, staff and entertainment.

We travelled in a large party during the May school holidays, in a mixed group of all ages - young and not so young!!

I think I can speak for everyone in our party when I say we had a lovely time. The Hotel Belvedere was spotlessly clean, well managed, comfortable and friendly.

The entertainment team were great - during the day they were all involved in poolside sport and activities, by night they were Micheal Jackson, Elvis Presley etc!!
My 6 year old daughter loved the mini club run by David the DJ and Guisi and cried her heart out when she had to leave!!

The food was varied and edible with lots of choice - the breakfast bar even had a diabetic selection. The puddings left a lot to be desired - but I still managed to put on half a stone during my two week stay!!

This is definately a family based hotel - I would not recommend it to those looking for nightlife. A free bus service operates to Palma Nova during the day, but the last one returns at 18.30pm, so unless you are prepared to pay around 15 euros each way for a taxi to Palma Nova, or brave the 200+ steps down to the limited bars in Cala Major, you are pretty much confined to the hotel in the evenings.

For a family with young children, this is fine. A trip to the nightly mini disco kept us happy!

The only bad points we came across were the lack of lifts -not good if you have a pushchair and the quiet location. Belvedere is in a mainly residential area.

One money saving tip - if you are going to go on any excursions - don't book with First Choice, take the free bus to Palma Nova and use one of the excursion offices there - you'll save a fortune.

Enjoy your holiday - we certainly did!!

We booked this holiday on the First Choice website 4 weeks before going as it was very well priced for All Inclusive which ultimately saved us money on the whole holiday cost (this was not our main holiday for the year and anywhere warm would have done!).

The hotel is very well presented within large grounds, with a games room for the older kids (pool table, 4/5 arcade games, air hockey, table tennis), large indoor bar, large outdoor pool bar area, huge pool, kids play area, sandy football/volleyball area and nice grassy areas with shade or sun. The hotel would benefit from more lifts - I imagine it could be a greater problem in peak season, particularly if you are on the higher floors (9 in total).

The main restaurant serves breakfast from 0800-1000, lunch from 1300-1500 and dinner from 1830-2030. The food was pretty good with everyone in our party (35,33,32,31,8,6,3,1) finding enough to suit our tastes, but some of it was not as hot as it could have been. There is also an outdoor pizzeria serving from 1200-1700. Very good handmade pizzas but with only one choice of topping each day. In addition there is a barbeque bar serving average burgers, sausages, and fish from 1200-1700 and the main pool bar served pretty good toasted sandwiches, roast chicken, chips, nuggets etc. from 1200-1700 and in the evening from about 2030-2300.

The "locally produced" free drinks were pretty good overall but some did not match up to their well known equivalent - the beer was fine though, and the soft drinks were all faultless. The free ice cream for the children was the little tubs with only a choice of 2 or 3 flavours but when you are all inclusive you don't mind when the kids drop them in the sand!

The location is very poor, but we knew that when we booked. As previously stated, the resort is along a steep, busy road without pavements and once you get there it doesn't offer much but the beach at adjacent Cala Major really is quite nice. We made use of the half hourly courtesy bus to go to the lovely beach at Magaluf (only 15 minutes away) and into Palma (about 15 minutes also).

The hotel staff were not the happiest in the world (All Inclusive means they are not making a fortune in tips I suppose!), but they all did their jobs as you would expect them to.

The entertainment team were a different matter. They really did put their all into keeping us entertained (particularly the children) during the day as well as in the evening. Adults and teenagers may be disappointed though.

If you come to Majorca make sure you do the excursion to 'Pirates'. The price is worth every penny. Awesome. Do it. My 6 year old daughter was awestruck. Probably second only to 'Cirque de soleil'. You will not be disappointed - really. (Have you got the message?).

If you are planning to use this hotel as part of the Hotel & Cruise, make sure the hotel week is the first week as I am sure it would be disappointing the other way round!

The main thing that would prevent me from coming to this hotel again is the location, but if the price was right I still wouldn't rule it out!

We booked this hotel as a late break and had never tried all inclusive before. Can only recommend it - particularly for the children who loved being able to get pizzas (freshly cooked in the outside ovens), drinks and ice cream whenever they wanted. As we all found the the restaurant buffets excellent too, the only problem was trying not to overeat just because it was available!

Rooms were a bit small for a family but kept very clean, as was everywhere in the hotel.

Pool was fantastic but unfortunately in April it was just too cold to use. Warm enough to sit in the gardens though and there were always plenty of sunbeds available.

There was a small play area for the younger children and a games room and table tennis. The hotel staff were not particularly friendly, but seemed efficient. The evening entertainment was very uninspiring but I have to say that the team worked EXTREMELY hard ALL DAY to encourage people to join in (good for the children) and played football, volleyball etc. with anyone who wanted to join in.

Location not great - 211 steps down to the main street (it felt like more coming back up!) and only main roads in the other direction. We had expected this and hired a car which made all the difference.

Overall it was a great success and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again - although probably not in high season as I suspect the lack of lifts, a packed dining room and longer queues at the bars would spoil things.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Belvedere, San Agustin, Majorca!!! I read some of these reports before I went on my holiday and it realy put me off!! So I went down to my local travel agent and they assured me that everything would be fine, anyway I went and as alot of other people have said already it was spotless, the beach is fantastic and the sea is gorgeous!!!

We caught the bus once but we liked the walk exept the cobbley path!!! I don't seem to remember seeing that bit on the internet when I booked it..lol I really enjoyed it hear and so will you if you like to have a laugh.

Its not too bad to get a sun bed either and that is a first never have I been on a holiday and theres a sun bed left!!! I will be going again in another year or two defo!!!

I took my three year old daughter Sophie Leigh when I went and I hardley saw her she liked it too much at the kids club.

My room was very clean and tidy and it was kept clean throughout my stay.

The swimming pool was very clean but it is not child friendly. It is 1.50m in the shallow bit and from then on it gets really deep up to 3.00m. Another point about the swimming is that there are tiles around the swimming pool that you could easily slip on. There are quite a lot of tiles in the hotel and I nearly slipped over myself.

The food is very nice and there are always enough tables to sit at for dinner. The food that you can get from the food bar outside near the pool. There are three places to get food from and there is a place you can get drinks from. Where you get your drinks from you can also get ice-cream and popcorn.

If you have little children there is a pool that is for younger people and that is 0.50m high. Next to this pool there is a kids club where they play games and colour in.

The entertainers would go round and tell you what activity there is on. At the back of the hotel is a volley ball net and rifle shooting board.

I would highly recommend it because it is a great place.
