The resort is fairly quite but is only a 10-15 minutes walk into cala n forcat so not too far if you fancy a change of scenery. The water park is good and we went a couple of days. One tip though, go after 3pm and its cheaper and not really big enough for a full day away.
All in all an excellent resort and one we will be visiting again!!

resort was fantastic for familys or couples. but cleanliness wasnt fantastic, bins need to be emptied more often.
the beach was lovely, but on the rocks my husband found syringes etc... with children this wasnt very good, the sea was lovely and shallow for the kids but jellyfish ruined there fun a couple of days.

The resort is very peaceful and very beautiful. It is more or less in a residental area so not many other hotels, the shops were about 15 mins walk away.
The nearest tobacconist is 15-20 mins walk away so make sure you have plenty of ciggys when you arrive as the only place to get them is there or in a pub, can't get them in the supermarket or hotel!
Beach is beautiful children enjoyed it.
Bus stop is more or less outside the hotel so plenty to do.

Nice resort, not much there but the chinese next to churchills pub (nice and great for kids) was excellent and cheap. Cala forcat is lively and only took 10 mins to walk to so no moans from the kids. Would recommend hiring a car its cheap and a great way to see the island. Son Bou beach is beautiful and citudella is worth a look, cala bosh is also a good resort to visit. The only really negitive thing was the beach had alot of jelly fish the last week we were their so the kids could'nt go in the sea.

Would go back to Menorca..it's very clean and pretty.
Found a little cove by the diving school that had no jelly fish..it was gorgeous.
Entertainment in the town was good..and the food was excellent and well worth the money.

This hotel was set next to a lovely beach in a cove which we could see the beach from are hotel room.
They do not seem to have the same rules as us regarding dog fouling it was everywhere on the pavements.

Kitted out well for young children. Lots of trampolines, bumper cars and bouncy castles dotted around and lots of internet access/MSN for the teenagers. The restaurants are fantastic - one in particular called E'Courte (something like that) - it is the first big restaurant on your right hand side after the Talayot Apartments.
Absolutely fantastic - food to die for and the waiters with their blue flowery shirts went out of their way to accommodate whatever your needs.
There are plenty of other nice restaurants too catering for a variety of tastes. Kids are welcome at all! There is an English bar called Castaway which has a big screen TV for the Eastenders and Coronation Street addicts (they do a mean milkshake - a must to try!)

Calen Blanes is a very small, very very quiet resort. Quite a clean place but the pavements are very bad for walking on. Paving stones are badly broken/uneven and paths have not been maintained. There is no entertainment in the resort only that provided by the complexes or you can walk a short distance (about 15 mins) to the next resort which is a wee bit bigger with more pubs on offer plus a water park for the wee ones and a variety of small shops. There is a (very)small, clean, safe beach at Calan Blanes and it gets very busy - nice to sit at bar underneath the palm trees with a cool drink to hand. All in all a nice quiet, safe island for a family or (very) relaxing holiday but not recommended if you prefer your resorts a little livelier. You really need a car to allow you to explore further than your resort.

Cala Blanes itself is a lovely area. Shop staff were all friendly and helpful. The water park which was a 5-10 min stroll from the hotel was incredibly clean with a life guard at every activity. For 3,50 euros children could enjoy an inflatable area with trampolines and free ice-cream for as long as they wanted right next to the water park. Plenty of shops and bars.
