Beach ok, we didnt use sunbeds as it was very expensive.
10-15 minute walk to main shops, bars and restuarants. Hotel was so good we only went out one night.
Although, when hotel bar closed we would go to cocktail bar on the beach that stayed open as long as you were still drinking.
The men and kids often took cycles out during the day to explore (free of charge from the hotel) this gave the women a chance to explore the sangria by the pool.
Fantastic holiday, nobody wanted to come home, 2 weeks not long enough. Would recommend it to anyone.

Beach quite small - sun beds 8 euro each problem with jelly fish whilst we were there. If you want to spend time on the beach purchase lilo's from the local spar it will save you a fortune

Not much at Cala N Blanes, just a couple of pubs and a fish and chip shop opposite the apartments, however take a 15 minute walk into Cala N Forcat and there is a whole ream of restaurants, bars, shops etc, even a water park - it is a nice stroll.
The beach is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and is a cove so not too big an area, there are a couple of bars built into the rocks for your refreshments, however if you do go down take you towels don't hite a sunbed as they are 7 euros each - I made the mistake of having 2 and an umberella at a cost of 23 euros, which is about £16!!!!
There is a water park at Cala N Forcat and we went on our last day, it isn't very big but enough slides and pools to amuse our two kids - but not enough for a full day, more half a day.
I would definately visit this resort again and these apartments again.

Beach is to die for! a small cove with plenty of facilites and sea as calm as a pond and crystal clear.
It's only a short walk to the other resorts and a car is a must as the island itself is just as stunning!

If you are looking for a relaxing break with a quiet drink by the beach or pool this is the hotel for you. It is not for those looking for a noisy night life - if that is what you're after the neighbouring resorts of Cala n Forcat & Los Delfines would be more up your street.
The resort of Cala n Blanes is clean with a couple of shops on the road to Ciutadella including an English pub. (Five minute walk).
The entertainment staff were good and managed to keep guests happy with rifle shooting, darts, shuffleboard and archery daily around the hotel.
The beach is small but it is nice and sandy. They do have a problem with jelly fish. Not the big variety we have in the UK, these are small orange ones, not dangerous, but they do deliver a bit of a wasplike sting. We spent most of our time around the pool (which was cool in May but not freezing)lounging on sun beds, drinking Sangria and really doing very little else.
We visited the local towns of Cala n Forcat and Los Delfines which have many places to eat and drink and we also went to the Aqua Park in Cala n Forcat (cheaper afer 3pm I think - 2 adults & 1 child 24 Euros).
They have some huge water slides that entertained my 13 and 11 year olds for a good couple of hours whilst I relaxed in the jacuzzi pool! The buses run every half hour and are cheap and have air conditioning. If you want to visit Cuitadella you should try and go on a market day.
On the whole a lovely holiday. We will hopefully go again.

Cala n Blanes is very quiet resort only a 3 hotel town although I found our beach the best in the vicinity. However, Los Delphines is only a 15 minute walk and there's loads for the kids to do.
Frankies bar is good Play Station 2s inside for the older kids free bouncy castle for the younger ones.
Plenty of restaurants most meals are around 8 euros for adults and kids menus are 2.5-4.5 euros generally. We ate several times at Es Pitus just around the corner from the appartments and so did lots of people staying in our complex.
Also the bus stop is very close and clean and runs on time it is also very cheap and under 4s go free.

Cala n Blanes has a very small, but delightful, beach with a beach bar open until the small hours of the morning. I imagine that it gets very busy during the summer months, but on a balmy October evening was fine.
A special mention to the Cala'n Moll restaurant on Avenida Simon Oliva, the welcome was always warm and the food very good, with a variety of both staple 'British style' food and Menorquin cuisine. A free jug of Sangria and peach Schnapps at the end of the meal were very welcome.
Compared to this the nearby Los Delfines was more like Blackpool than Menorca, very loud, very bright, a bit of a 'strip' going down to the sea.
So again, it's horses for courses. If you're looking for a reasonably relaxed atmosphere with decent local food, either visit the restaurant above or take the 10 minute bus ride into Ciutadella where you will find ample places to eat well.
Just a note on those bus rides. A vote of thanks to the local bus drivers, all of whom took great care when transporting full bus loads of people around very tight bends and corners, giving everyone a steady and safe ride.

You are a 5-10 minute walk away from Cala n Forcat which is great for kids of any age.
The local bus service is second to none and offers a regular service.
My wife and I were concerned about this holiday as it was our first with our 2 year old son, well we didn't need to worry after all, it was fantastic, safe, clean and friendly. Even the Brits were friendly!
All round good value fantastic holiday.

The resort was good for me with a small daughter in two. Child friendly and suited to families

The surrounding area was o.k. I suppose. Just outside the hotel was a row of general shops and a bus stop to the main town (Cuitadella) but don't go on a Sunday as everywhere was shut.
The beach wasn't too good as the sea was full of jelly fish don't get me wrong they came and cleaned the beach every morning of sea weed but with it being a very small cove I think it wasn't very nice for the sunbed man to take up the entire beach with his very expensive sunbeds.
The nearest commercial area is Los Dolfines which is nice about a 10 minute walk away this is where the waterpark is expensive but quite good.
