There is so much to do for the kids and the adults as well.
Food is very good you won't go hungry we found something different to eat every day.
C'an Picafort is not cheap any more eating out could be more than what you would pay in england so going the AI route was good for us.
Also the shops and markets are expensive as well some spanish nik naks worth buying are value for money but perfumes and clothes are cheaper at home, if you want any cigarets buy them at the airport in england as they are far cheaper here silk cut B7H were 31 euro's in most shops and 35 euros at palma mallorca airport

When you have young kids (which most visitors to this hotel do have) it's not ideal to have spent half a day travelling and then have to wander aimlessly around the hotel grounds / pool with all your luggage and kids in tow - which is a situation I saw many times.
A couple of other niggly moans would be that the rooms, though big, do need updating. Furniture is tatty in places and the beds are probably one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds you are ever likely to sleep in.
The food I found to be pretty good most days. There was only really one night where I struggled to find anything much that I liked. Kids are well catered for. The daytime activities are good and there is always something for the kids to do. The evening entertainment is a bit pants to be fair - bingo every night is not everyone's idea of holiday entertainment.
The creche is excellent - clean, bright and well staffed - in fact all of the creche staff and the kids In2Action team members are superb - particularly Emma, James and Ben. The swimming pools are also good - there's a large kids splash pool with slides and stuff in too, but this can be quite cold.
There was a mysterious stomach bug that ripped it's way through all of our family over the course of the week that we were there, but it would be unfair to say that this was picked up at the hotel, as we can't be sure.
Do bear in mind - this is a family hotel, not a couples' hotel.
My top tips:-
1) Be prepared to get up early to get a decent pool spot.
2) Don't bother with the Carribean Grill - it's rubbish.
3) Don't take a bottle warmer - there's a microwave in the room.
4) Don't worry if you forget / run out of anything - use the hotel shop. It's excellent - even has imported Cravendale milk from the UK!!
5) Make sure you keep your receipts for the towels and the safety deposit box.
6) Be prepared for a lively holiday - you will not be able to sleep around any of the pools.
7) Use the Reps - they're always around and can usually help with any problem. Steve (the senior First Choice rep at the hotel) was very helpful indeed. Even helping us to take our luggage to our room !!!

As someone commented before the drink served at the bar is very weak it did not seem to the normal effects, maybe not a bad thing though?
Not having kids, it might be an idea to have a bar that they are barred from? this is something I've seen at other resorts and thought it a good idea.

We were all inclusive and found the food very disapointing and especially with being given a 4* rating. The Carribean & Italian alternative on site were not much better infact the main courses of Duck and chicken with a mushroom cream sauce were terrible.
self catering would be a better option for this hotel.
Hotel on the outskirts but within a short walking distance of the beach. Beach front was lovely but the walk to it was litter ridden and we had to dodge a lot of dog muck.
The staff were very helpful and friendly
We didnt really catch much of the entertainment.
If the hotel was moved to a different location with a vast improvement to the food then we would visit the hotel as it was very spacious with a lovely pool.

Accomodation:
The rooms are exactly as described in the brochure, plenty of room for 4, clean, tidy, lots of storage space, kitchen facilities although it was not needed. 2 showers, one walk in and one over the bath, seperate area with a sink and hairdryer. Bath towels are provided,to get these changed you need to place the dirty ones in the bath. We found it a bit chilly in the rooms at night and when we asked at reception for extra blankets these were put in our rooms straight away. On the sofa beds, pull off the seat covers and there are extra sheets underneath (we didnt discover this until our second week)
Safe in the rooms, you need to get the key from reception it cost 33 euros for 2 weeks and 5euro deposit. Beach and pool towels can also be hired from reception at 5euros each and can be changed 3 times a week.
Hotel Staff:
They were amazing, always cleaning, seems to go on 24hours a day. Cleaners were spanish and could not understand when we asked a question about the rooms being cleaned, but if you go to reception they will sort any problems out, if needed. The staff in the resturants are very busy but they will stop to answer any questions you may have. The bar staff are amazing, especially Manuel and Kristof (if you see them tell them the Waltons say Hi) Manuel is the fastest barman I have ever seen and after a few days at the resort he knew what our drinks were and had they ready by the time we got to the bar.
Food:
The food was excellent, anyone who said there was no choice obviously didnt look around. For breakfast they had a choice out of full english with bacon, egg, hash browns, beans, sausage, scrambled egg with ham (that was lovely)They also had freshly made pancakes with sugar, lemon, cinnimon, chocolate spread and jam. Cereals, Toast, Continental breakfast and plenty of fruit was also available.
Lunch consists of differant variety every day, chips, chicken nuggats and spag bol was available for the kids, omelettes with a choice of filling were made in front of you to order, choices of meats, veg, salad, rice. You can also eat from the pool side bar that served cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, chips, salad, sandwiches and pizza.
Dinner Time in the restuarant again plenty of choice, cooked dinner on a sunday, steaks cooked in front of you, cavery meat differant choice every day, paella, pasta, sauces, plenty of seafood. deserts were nice too, ice cream and jelly for the kids, various differant cakes, rice pudding, fruit. On a wednesday they had a giant table in the middle of the restuarant full with cakes, everything you can imagine and more, also sweets for the kids.
Carribean Grill, We had a meal in here, you need to book at reception, the food was lovely and the meals were huge, I had a mixed grill that come with a jacket potato that come with garlic butter, I dont like garlic and it was no problem to change for a plain one, they also served sea bass, duck, kebabs, pizza, veal and others i cannot remember. Well worth a visit.
Italian, We were not so impressed with this, similar meals as the carribean and I tried the spag bol, my 5 year old daughter had the same and when they come out (after approx half hour wait) mine was served on a plate and childs meal in a bowl, when I emptied the bowl onto the plate provided for my daughter the chils meal was twice as large as mine, also food lukewarm.
Kids Clubs:
These were brill and the staff excellent. Sessions started at 10.30 till 12.30, 2pm till 4pm, 4.30 till 6pm and every other night for the under 8s 9pm till 11pm. Over 8s they had a session every night. Our kids could not wait to get there, A huge thankyou to Andy, Glen, Cameron, Sam, Phil, Zoe. You all made the holiday for our kids, Nicole, Joseph, Jack, Logan, Rhys, Torianna, Molly and Damien will all miss you like mad and havent stopped talking about you all since we got home.
Soccer school:
Well what can I say, Scotty and declan, you were amazing, the boys will miss you both and a huge thankyou. Roughly 36 euros each for 2 2 hour lessons and also taster sessions. Well worth the money as the boys loved it. Also do adults session for 5 euros, our men took advantage of this, and realised they were not as fit as they thought lol.
Pools:
These were lovely, although a bit cold when you first get in. Lovely splash park for the little ones with plenty of slides and sprinklers.
Saving the best for last Entertainment:
What a fantastic team, Kelly, Adam, Kayleigh, Richard and Polly, We will miss them like crazy. They were all fantastic on the stage and off. They worked so hard, from 10am until 11pm and the shows were brill. Never laughed so much in our lives. Mother goose was hilarious, Adam was sooo funny. On various night they had outside shows that the majority of they we enjoyed. Only one we didnt like was the Neil Diamond tribute, not sure if this was because we didnt know any of his songs but the kids obviously didnt either and they were bored. African Footprint was amazing and one of the best shows I have seen.
The kids have been singing the nightly song lets get loud since coming home and know all the actions.
Thanks again Guys and hopefully we will meet you again next year.

Positives:
Room size was very big and clean. We had a select room on the ground floor in block 2. We faced the main pool and had a 28" flat screen tv with DVD player. It was worth having this room since the kids could watch their favourite dvds.
Food in the main buffet restuarant was good and lots of variety. I liked their freshly made omlettes and morning pancakes. We never got round to eating at the two other restaurants. Since we had young children who had dinner early we felt it was more easier just to eat at the buffet restaurant.
I only went to one evening show to see the 'west end musicals' and I enjoyed it only because I am a big fan of musicals. I didn't go to see the other shows since my children went to sleep around 9pm. But from what I can see most people seemed to have enjoyed the entertainment. My little girl enjoyed the parrot show and the kids disco.
The weather was good, I was worried it would be too hot but it stayed at around 30/31 degrees and constant sunshine. We are not the sunbathing types so we didn't need to rush out to reserve the sunbeds at the main pool. However we did reserve a couple of sunbeds at the kids pool since my children only stayed there. The main pool is too deep for them but the kids/splash pool was perfect for them as it was shallow. Most people wanted to stay at the main pool so the rush for sunbeds centred around there. There is an indoor pool but it looked small so I'm wondering when the weather is cool or raining the indoor pool will not be able to hold a large amount of people.
Kids club was good, with lots of sessions througout the day. My kids went to one session a day either the morning or lunchtime one and the rest of the time spent at the kids pool.
Negatives:
There are a couple of negatives I feel I need to mention. I previously read reviews about people having ants in their rooms and I prayed it didn't happen to ours. It did. The first morning we found alot of ants and I was upset about it and requested a room change immediately. One of the senior members of reception came with me to inspect the room and the maid there cleaning our room said that the source of why the ants was in our room was coming from my open back pack. I had left some open sweets and they were attracted to it. I cleaned out my back pack and they gave me ant spray. As it turned out after that day we never had the ants returning. As long as we don't eat in the room or leave open packets of food. I was so paranoid that I made my kids eat biscuits or snacks outside the room then come back in. This way we made sure no ants were attracted to our room. This is a big tip if you don't want ants in your room.
There were holes in some of the bedsheets but that didn't concern me so much as having the ants. But as long as we kept our room clean of food and food smells then we knew there will be no ants.
One other let down of the hotel and this was my biggest disappointment was at the buffet restaurant there were always a couple of flies around the dessert and fruit section. I tried to swat them away but gave up in the end since they kept returning. The whole week I was worried my kids or husband would get ill with stomach bugs. I feel the restaurant should do something to cover that section of food with plastic covers that have half open lids. It will keep the flies off the food. I have made this complaint on the first choice website so hopefully they will sort this out. Just the week before we arrived I heard there was stomach bug going round and it was under control by the time we arrived. Now it's easy to see why people get ill there especially when there are flies hovering on exposed food. Fortunately my family didn't get ill but I heard other children got ill but it could have been the heat and not the food. It's hard to say. Lots of children were not wearing hats or t-shirts so getting heat stroke/ headaches can bring on nausea.
We did have a good holiday and enjoyed ourselves, as long as the kids were happy we were happy. I was very careful to protect the kids from the sun and used anti-bacterial spray every time we ate there. We were lucky not to get ill on holiday. It was our first packaged all inclusive holiday and chosen this resort for the kids facilities. If it wasn't for the kids I wouldn't normally go for this type of holiday since I like walking & exploring. There was a promenade with lots of restaurants and gift shops and the beach was 10mins walk (for adults) not when you have young kids. We didn't take the kids to the beach it was too hot and everyone ended up buying parasols since there are limited parasols on the beach. My husband and I took a trip to the beach just to check it out without the kids. Unless we went really early to the beach it would have been too hot for them. The beach seemed OK it was a bit dirty with cigerette ends. Since both my husband & I didn't sunbathe and were more the active types we ended up going to the gym in the hotel while the kids were in the clubs. It was all I could do to keep active. The complex itself isn't as big as I thought it was but it had everything the kids needed and everything was close by.
I wouldn't come back to this hotel but only because we like to go somewhere different each time. It is well catered for children and lots of activities for them. One week was enough for us, towards the end I was feeling a bit cabin feverish since we didn't opt for any of the expensive excursions the reps were promoting and stayed mainly in the resort. For those who are going, I'm sure you will have a good time especially if you like sunbathing and getting that all important tan!! It didn't looked too relaxing to me in the midday sun & heat and I saw people were sweating but refusing to leave their sunbeds.

Food was ok but every one eats in the same restaurant and lunch and dinner are in a two hour slot dinner is from 6.30pm until 8.30pm this needs to be extended in high season. Restaurant is very busy and very very noisy a bit like a school canteen. Food was hot and served buffet style. There were a lot of children staying in our week and they were handling the food with their hands i think there should have been a hygenic hand wash in use before entering the restaurant. Restaurant staff i felt were overworked and therefore not friendly.
Entertainment was the worst i have ever seen. Kids permantly running round and most of the entertainment consisted of hotel guests entertaining the rest of us in x factor style events not what i want to see. When the entertainment was from professional people this too was very poor resulting in us as a family taking drinks back to our room and sitting on our balcony.
This holiday is good if you want an english holiday with sun not what we expected and will never return.
