We made a point of reading previous reviews prior to booking and given the vast majority were very positive, we took the plunge. And were absolutely not disappointed.

The hotel itself is beautifully landscaped and very well-maintained. When we first saw our accomodation, we were concerned about potential noise from traffic given we faced what appeared to be a main road (Block 4, Ground Floor). Nothing to worry about at all though, as outside noise was never an issue for our 2 week stay.

The room itself was plenty spacious for our party of 3 adults and 1 5 year old, and the air conditioning was a welcome treat!

Despite the fact that our holiday was during peak season, we never once had a problem with getting sunbeds, in spite of leaving the apartment at 9am every morning. Any later though, who knows? We did see what one of our party dubbed the "Terracota Army" standing motionless by beds at any time from 730am though!

Pools were fine, although appreciate earlier reviewers' points about depths - our 5 yr old was OK with armbands, anyone smaller though or lacking confidence........(top pool only, where we resided most of the week).

Whilst on subject of swimming, we heartily recommend the Swim Kid lessons - our son's instructor Jackie was brilliant, and he has got so much confidence from his lessons - she also took the trouble to remember his name and was a genuinely pleasant person.

Hotel staff were wonderful in all areas - the legendary Manuel takes some beating - we have never seen anyone serve as quickly in our lives! That said, the local staff were great everywhere, from cleaning to bar staff, all genuinely pleasant. Recommend trying to speak Spanish wherever possible, no matter how bad you think your Spanish is!

Food was much enjoyed for all meals, huge range, something for everyone, and was never dull or predictable. We tried the Italian and Carribean restaurants once each - not blown away, and preferred buffet really. Snack bar very useful for our son, who seemed to prefer burgers and the like! Sandwiches available from bar after restaurant closes - doesnt appear to be a well-known fact!

Drink - very good variety of all spirits and soft drinks - kids will enjoy Sprite & Grenadine - adults will enjoy massive shots of spirits! We genuinely cannot recall being a queue of more than 2 minutes at any point in the 2 weeks, such is the efficiency of the staff.

Entertainment - kids club 3-5 yr olds - excellent, son thoroughly enjoyed it many times. We especially enjoyed the 900pm-1100pm session! The sessions you have to pay for (sweetie bingo, party etc) not good value for money though. Daytime reps excellent and very friendly - tip - dont aim to win any competition if you are a shy and retiring type - forfeits everywhere! But all good fun. Lots of things to do - quizzes, sports, family pool fun etc. Evening entertainment was standard holiday fare, but team worked hard and were very enthusiastic about their work. Outside acts variable in quality. Big cash prize bingo well worth winning (not that we did) - standard

the hotel was very clean, spacious and well laid out. great facilities and the staff were always working really hard to keep it clean and tidy. there was no rubbish at all.pool area was immaculate and my 5 year old loved it! main shops and restaurants outside of the complex was a 5 min walk away, Handy!! the entertainment staff were the best i have ever encountered especially good with the children but adults loved them as well. Crowsfeet Island was brilliant, if we missed it at night there were tears!!!!! my little boy didnt want to go, purely because he would miss the entertainment staff. they were funny, lively and always put a smile on our faces!the food in the hotel wasn't the greatest, chips with everything whether you wanted it or not (pool bar)we went self catering and because most other people were all inclusive this proved to be a problem on a few occasions with the key card they use failing to work and confusion at the bar. great hotel, reception staff and holiday reps brilliant, especially the entertainment people. would definately recommend

the hotel we stayed in was lovely, very spacious and pretty. the hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis, the rooms were big enough for family of 4 and very roomy. The food was standard (hotdogs,burgers,mini pizzas and chip) in the daytime and a full range of buffet food in the evening (differently every evening). The entertainment was fabulous, not at all boring daytime entertainment was very good with a variety of different activities every day and the evening entertsinment was also very good, i would give all the reps 10/10 they worked really hard and made you feel really welcome.

we all travelled there,was a nice hotel,on the whole enjoyable, staff friendly, kids clubs ok..........A few items that have not been mentioned, that we were not happy with, was there was a bad, sickness and dihorea bug going around our girl was ill for 2 days throwing up all nigh, and alot of others adults inc were as well. I spoke to one customer, they were advised by there booking company before they arrived, very strange, as reps acted as if no one new anything about it but, loads went down with it. 3 times kids pooed in the pools and had to be closed a 2 hours a time, and there was glass around the pool area at night, infact, it looked like a tip as you were going for you're evening meal.

a couple on the ground floor of the hotel were burgled within a hour of getting there, gained entry threw the patio door they think.....security for hotel none at all!!!!!(needs sorting)

food was ok, not sure if bug was coming from this or the pool side toilet, as in the mens it stank and piddle all over the floor, so all the men walked the germs back around the pool. needs sorting asap.....

the DJ doing the mixing set each day at outside bar was letting more bar staff play guests weren't interested. could have done with music, around pools during the daynot banging house music for the 2 hours the DJ was playing when supposed to b showing guests what to do but no one was interested perhaps they should scrap this...

hotel in a good place would not go back entertainment rubbish

The apartments are spacious and cleaned everyday except Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Lots of clean towels and complimentary beach towels which was a nice touch.

Fresh pancakes at Breakfast. Omlettes made to order at Lunch. Then a bit of a theme for Dinner.

Entertainment brill. Some of the acts not performed by the First Choice reps were a bit naf, but the children loved them. Not really into Bingo but big money to be won, 750 euros one night.

Yes we would visit hotel again but not in August - the volume of people everywhere was incredible.

Just returned from the holiday village viva....And it was absolutely fantastic. One of the best holidays we have ever been on.

The hotel lived upto all its expectations. We all had a lovely time, especially my 3 year old son.....

The only downfall, (and only a little one), is the food in the resurant got very repetative, could of done with a little more variety...But still very nice, just needed a bit more choice. The food at the snack bar throughout the day was really good, plenty of choice, from, salads, pizzas, burgers, hotdogs, and chips.

All the staff at the hotel are very good, and work very hard to keep the guests happy.

We would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family, who are looking for a good family holiday.
We are definately going to be booking up again for next year......:-)

We returned for the 2nd year the first weeks in June We havee had another fantastic time, especially the kids age 3 and 6.

Positives

Great rooms,pools,staff and kids entertainment perfect for families with kids under 10. Onsite cleanliness first class!

Negatives

There seemed less entertainment staff and food not so fab in the evening(still good for breakfast and lunch though) There were a few more heavy boozers than last year too.

We stayed here one week before our cruise,and I have to say we had a great time! Kids loved the pools ,food was great,rooms were very big .

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Holiday Village Viva. We had a great time.

We stayed on an all inclusive basis. The food was excellent - plenty of choice and freshly cooked. There was plenty of choice for my children, who are 4 and 2.

The cleaners do a great job. The complex is spotless and our room was too. Did notice that they didnt clean under the beds though!

Its only a 15 minute walk to a great stretch of beach with lots of bars, restaurants and shops.

The entertainment we could not fault. Our kids loved the evening entertainment, with Crowsfeet Island, Bingo and the show afterwards. Many thanks to Ruth, Hayley, Jamie and Jenna!!

This is definately a good destination choice if you have children. We would definately stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!

Just returned today and we are so depressed, everything about this hotel is what holidays are made of/great food, great people and great weather.

Cleanliness of hotel rooms is good, the maid that cleaned ours even put our dirty dishes to soak in the sink.

Poolside and surroundings were spotless given that this was a thankless task with alot of the guests not knowing how to use a dustbin.

The hotel location is only 10 Min's walk from the town centre with regular buses taking you too Alcudia or Porta Pollensa(lovely place).

Hotel staff are really friendly the bar staff are a great laugh with two of them working at hyperspeed every night.

Entertainment is good with ruth(she is nuts), Jamie the brummie, Hayley, Jenna and Lee the technician they work nearly all day and night these guys give 110 per cent everynight, was slightly dissapointed with some of the outside acts at times though.

We have already priced this hotel up again for next year so yes we will go again!
