The Son Baulo area of Ca'n Picafort is quiet. There are several cafes/restaurants to be enjoyed and a small row of shops from which you can buy anything you need.
The resort is clean and the locals are friendly. There are a number of German only hotels around but there is no problems.
Ca'n Picafort itself is a lovely little town, full of little shops, bars, restaurants and marina.
We would recommend the Son Baulo area as a good place to relax.

C'an Picafort as a resort was disappointing, although busier than we expected, there are lots shops, bars and restaurants.
However the shops sell the same old tack and we felt the resort catered more for all inclusive holiday makers. It was quite hard to find a restaurant that was something more than drinks and snacks.
We would recommend the Paris Grill and the Peking Duck Chinese. There is also a Burger King and a Doner Kebab shop!!The Holiday Village Viva is only 5mins walk to nearby shops etc although you do come across lots of dog dirt on the way, and some parts smell a bit too!
The beach is quite nice. There are trampolines, amusements, gift stalls, henna tatoos and caricatures available. Regular buses are available to Alcudia (which is probably a 10 min journey)and other resorts and are very cheap but get very crammed.
There is a gorgeous Mexican restaurant in Alcudia in the port called Dakotas which is well worth a visit. In the port in Alcudia there are several boat trips available and on Alcudia beach there are watersports such as pedalos, banana boats and windsurfing etc.

The beach wasnt very far at all, only about 10 minute walk. It is quite a small resort but nice.

The resort was nice about a ten miniute walk to the beach.
All seemed very nice. Did not go to the beach but looked nice. Only downfall was very busy road so you had to sometimes play chicken with the cars, but after the third visit we found the crossing at the end which then made life easy.

The resort was nice and fairly quiet when we visited in September. The only downside was the cleanliness of the beach . The sand was pretty mucky in places and I didn't like my 1yr old playing with cigarette butts which was pretty much unavoidable in some places! It could do with a bit of a clean. If you go further to the right of the beach (looking out to sea)the sand did become cleaner as this bit was used less. Shops are fine and it's nice that the sea front is for pedestrians only.

Nice resort - good walk to the town and along the promenade but not on one of our bad days when it felt like walking along weston prom!
More geared towards Germans but that didn't put us off at all

The complex was about a ten min walk from other nightlife which was quite lively for the time of year.
If we were to come again we would go more in the centre.

when we first arrived i thought oh my god where have we come as we booked off spec,i had never heard of the place on first impressions it seemed very quiet and nothing much too it, but it was a nice walk into town and it is very busy and lively there so you can have a quiet holiday or a lively 1 each to there own you make the holiday. so give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised and pleased just like we were.
