Booked this last minute,as we recognised the name of the hotel as we go to Magaluf every year and it was on our list of hotels we wanted to really stay at.
Only once we had booked we started to read horror stories of this hotel now mainly catering for the 18 - 30 groups.....Arrrghhhhhh!!!.
Anyways on arrival noticed that there was a good mix of couples of all ages and also a lot of senior folk , could this of been due to it being early/mid september though ?
There was however,a couple of large groups of lads and girls staying here but I challenge you to find any lively hotel in Magaluf that does not have rowdy groups.
The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach with a good standard of cleanliness.
However the stair/hallway carpets are showing their age and makes the hotel look a little grubby.
Our room had a great view of the beach but I think it was one of the smallest rooms we have ever been in.
The rooms air con was a complete joke......nothing wrong technically with it.....they simply put it on the lowest setting possible and your only option is OFF/ON and no HIGHER/LOWER degrees.
No ceiling fan either.
Maids do a great job of room service, fresh towels everyday etc.
Reception staff very polite and helpful.
Food was very good at evening meals, salads 10/10 , hot food a very good choice of quality meats veg, chips, pasta.
Breakfast was awesome with cereals, continental, toast and all the fried stuff you can think of.
The only downside I felt was that the sweets were poor, little pots of blamange, cream and un-inspiring sponges or a limited choice of fruit ( melon mainly ).
The ice cream was tasty and plentiful though.
The entertainment of a night time was variable from bad to good, some of the outside entertainers/shows they pay for are hit and miss.
The hotel entertainment staff do a superb job of gee-ing everbody up and they have a nightly Bingo session ( we won

When we arrived i requested we had a pool and beach view and that our rooms where next to eachother.
We mangaged to get a pool and beach view which we where happy about, but unfortunately there was not 3 rooms available on one floor together so instead one group of four had to go on the next floor.
Our room was a very good size with a decent sized kitchen, dining table, 2 sofa beds in the living room, to sepearte beds in the bedroom, a very big wardrobe and 4 sets of drawers, so plenty of room for all of our clothes.
considering we where in magaluf the hotel wasn't actually that noisy compared to others that we had friends staying in, It was full of young people (hence magaluf) and the pool was often crowded but we didn't mind as we usually stayed on the beach with it only being a 2 minute walk away.
The group i was in was all girls aged 18 so we was there for the clubs which where about a 10minute walk away from the hotel, but there wasnt much noise whilst at the hotel apart from the occasional group of people getting in after a night out.
I have noticed alot of bad reviews from the older families with children, but magaluf is not the ideal place for children, it is a popular holiday resort for the 18s-30s with a very good nightlife.
The hotel was fine for us and we where very happy with our stay it was very cheap so we where expecting a total dive but was pleasently surprised, the staff where helpful aswel if we ever ran out of towels or wanted our beds changing we would telephone them off the hotel room phone and they would be with us within 5minutes.
I would definately recommend this hotel but not for families, i wouldnt recommend magaluf for families who want a peaceful holiday because magaluf is not peaceful!!

The young people take over this hotel, you cannot get near the pool and if you want peace and quite you need to go to the beach area of the hotel.
The food is ok you won't starve, the entertainment is rubbish and the reps dont want to know you if you are over 21.
The staff go about with their faces tripping them because they have to put up with the young crowd being drunk from morning till night.
The dining area states you cannot wear shorts to dinner but the young crowd come in in their bathing costumes with towels over their shoulders while the few older patrons make the effort to dress for dinner.
All rooms have door bells and when the nightclubs are finished your bell goes all night with people forgetting what floor they are on.
The young crowd swear and shout all day and have no regard for anyone else on holiday.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

staying in the hotel and in magaluf itself and yes it can be abit noisey at night but hey your in magaluf if you want peace and quite dont go to magaluf. The hotel itself
was ok staff on reception was not very helpful but rooms were made up everyday the food was excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is located right at the end of the beech so is 10 min walk from the centre of magaluf so the bars near the hotel are much more quite and relaxing at night.Dont think i would stay there again as it is for young people magaluf that is and if this hotel was anywhere else would stay there again it was just abit noisey with all the younguns but there just enjoying themselves.

I agree with everything Audrey above says. We were told at lunchtime the restaurant would be closed at lunch as there was only 5 people in.
The staff said if we went to the door and told them what to cook for lunch they would. We were appalled and asked if we could use the snack bar which we were previously told we couldn

We had requested rooms next to each other with the travel agents and when we were given the keys, 2 rooms where on the 4th floor and the other on the 1st.
We got up at 9am to go and see the rep,by the time we got there there was already a queue of people waitng to complain.
Out of the 3 rooms only 1 off them was any good (apart from the balcony which was fastened on with shelf brackets and still wobbled with children 3 & 5 in the room we never let them on it), the room on the 1st floor had the bins outside and the generator which went all night long the other room on floor 3 had dirty sheets with blood on and pubic hairs from the previous occupants.
When we notified the rep of this she went up to have a look and requested the sheets to be changed, it took the maid 3 attempts to put clean sheets on. The following day the rep had our familys all on the 3rd floor. After a bad start the holiday seemed to go ok untill a group of young & lively came in to the hotel, we had to call the security a few times durin the early hours of the mornings because of the loudness and behavoiour of these.
The childrens pool in the hotel was closed off twice in the 2wks we were there because of broken glass in it and when it was open they would take the children out of it for a hour a day for the young & lively to play games in it.
The hotel is only 3 steps down to the beach(which was the only good thing about the hotel)so we went there everyday. The food at the hotel was lovely and varied each night there was also a childrens menu aswell as a vegitarian menu the desserts were Fantastic.
The location of the hotel was good, right on the beach with shops and bars near by and the main nightlife about 10mins walk away, the water parks are also close by the best 1 being the Western Water park. You were lucky if you found a pleasent hotel staff because most of them were miserable.
The entertainment was totally rubbish, the evening began with the childrens at 7pm and ended with the childrens at 12 there was absolutly nothing for the adults. There was 5 adults & 5 children in our party and we definatly WONT be going to this hotel again.
This hotel was not advertised as young & lively but there was more groups of these than familys.

Rooms on 2nd floor were in need of really good clean and spruce up. Mold on bathroom ceiling, balcony very dirty - had to clean balcony furniture before use and also found crisp and broken glass under bed - from previous inhabitants ( as definately wasn't us) . Air conditioning and phone out of order - but repaired on request. Hotel used by a large number of Young & Lively bookings - lots of noise and disruption throughout fortnight.
Food in restaurant very repetative - vegetables - carrots or green beans at breakfast.
Hotel staff friendly although receptionists exasperated at times by some of the younger guests.
Repairs to hotel carpets and systems done during stay - one day stairs out of order had to wait for lifts.
