Floors on level 6 or above are the better views but all rooms are sea view anyway

Make sure you stay in Sol Mirlos NOT Sol TORDOS. There’s two hotels and this is the most modem and has better larger rooms. Tell reception when you arrive.

Palma Nova is a lovely resort and a great base for travelling to the capital city of Palma (approx 30 min cheap bus ride. The beach and the promenade is very well looked after and you can see the difference in comparison to the lower quality Magaluf beach and promenade. As for the resort enertainment I can't really comment as I was booked in an all-inclusive hotel. I would certainly return to Palma Nova.

Magaluf and Palma Nova offer something for everyone. The Magaluf strip is better than most strips for variety (offering indie bars for example) but the reps - many of whom border on assault in their attempts to get people in the clubs - are a definite downside. The best bar we found was probably Alex's, which was expensive, but enjoyable.
The best restaurant we found was a place called 'Flavours' (quite near the Magaluf square). The ribs there are worth travelling to Magaluf for alone. That said, the standard of restaurants seemed pretty high.
One thing I would recommmend is the Fantasia crazy golf. You'll need an afternoon to fit it in, but it's definitely worth doing.
In summary, the two resorts seem to be better equipped than similar areas (such as Benidorm). The place was clean, had something fro everyone, and left our party pleasantly surprised (given the images of squalor and idiocy the 'sh*galuf' monicker conjures). Just wish they could do something about those reps...

Palma Nova is a lovely clean resort with a fantastic beach and lovely flat promenade, ideal fo pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Quieter than Magaluff but plenty to see and do. A must is Marineland to see the dolphin shows and dolphin school where you can touch them etc.
Altogether a beautiful place.

The resort is very clean and you feel safe when walking around.
There is a good selection of shops, restaurants, and bars. If you want a good night out go and see Pirates its brilliant but dont go on a Friday.(They put on two shows on a friday night and they throw you out as soon as the first show finishes so they can get ready for the late show).
We would go back to this resort again.

We walked in to Palma Nova a few times we noticed that in one part it was all reaturants and shops and hardly any bars so we walked to Torrenova and that was better we drank in the Prince William pub and Eastenders pub as they were quieter pubs with having the children.
We also walked into Magaluf a few times and drank in Manos and popeyes which is upstairs but has a bouncy castle for kids(The slope was vey steep if you have got prams).
The beach was lovely sandy beach which the kids loved and you could hire beds and parasols if needed.
Also there was a little marquee on the beach which dealt with crafts for the children and my children joined in with other children from spain and germany the staff could speak about three or four languages. my kids loved it.
The 2 waterparks are a must cost is 19 euro for ad and 13 eur for children between 2-12years but mcdonalds had tickets for money off(5 euros) for adults or one free child for one full fare paying adult.
Also marineland was a must we again had tickets to get the children free and my husband and i managed to get money off for us...dolphin show was amazing and you get to see the dolphins from below with the glass looking out into the pool loved it....

This was our third consecutive year at Palma Nova, and we were not dissapointed. There is always plenty to see and do. The beaches were beautifully clean.
The nightlife has something for everyone.
We have been back 2 weeks and have already booked again for next year.

Palma Nova in my view is the best resort in Majorca, we have been to most places in Majorca, but we now wouldn't go anywhere else. It is very close to the airport so the transfer only takes about 20 mins to half an hour.
There are 3 lovely beaches, a lovely promenade to walk on. Lots of little play areas for children, lots of shops and bars, its wonderful!!

Loads of entertainment to choose from.Plenty of good restaurants, nice beaches in Palmanova.Too many pa's on the Magaluf side trying to get you into their bars.Magaluf fine in the day.Not too good at night unless you're 18 to 30
