Floors on level 6 or above are the better views but all rooms are sea view anyway

Make sure you stay in Sol Mirlos NOT Sol TORDOS. There’s two hotels and this is the most modem and has better larger rooms. Tell reception when you arrive.

We were pleasantly surprised with Palma Nova, we dont usually go to "British" resorts, only because its the only chance to see and mix with other nationalities, but it was a brilliant holiday and we would certainly go back to Palma Nova and the Mimosa Park in the future.

3 years on from the last visit and I was amazed. The touts have more or less been banished from the streets ! All the way from Portonova apartments right into the heart of Magaluf there are only the odd tout, in a bib, giving a single request outside that premises. No thanksis now accepted by them first time as do the loudmouth girls who ask "Are you British ?" before trying the old scratchcard routine.
Beach melon traders are scared of their lives and are hounded down by Police on bikes the whole length. It was great, day and night, to relaxingly stroll and pick where I wanted to go and when with no hardsell.
The authorities are to be commended and I found that as a whole the restaurants, bars and cafes have improved their environments to pull the punters in.
Robinson Crusoes in Magalluf deserve special praise in raising the bar better than before, please don't be put off by the young staff they are pleasant, polite, quick and bring the fantastic food so efficiently it rounds off the whole laid back and enjoyable atmosphere.
The Willows at night struggled with service and the 3 Brothers & Orion have lost the food but are still excellent for service of drinks.

Palma Nova and Magaluf are beautiful the beaches are cleaning and have golden sands. The sunloungers and parasols can be hired for 3 Euros each. The water was was and clean and the kids could go out quite far before it became deep.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. There is something for every age group there.
We would recommend going the Pirates Show and also the Wester Waterpark in Magaluf, we all have an excellant day out. We hired a Tribike from along the beach it was 8 Euros for an hour and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
We will certainly be returning to Palma Nova again in the near future

The resort was excellent, slightly commercialised but had enough entertainment for all ages. You can always go into Magaluf if its too quiet but I thoroughly enjoyed Palma Nova. Great for the Disabled with excellent facilities and access and regular patrols made by the Police. Couldnt fault Palma Nova at all.

Lovely beach, well, beaches as its a stone throw from Palma Nova beach to Magaluf beach and hey are both fantastic.
Palma Nova is a lot quieter than its neighbour but if you want liveliness its only a few minutes walk to the Magaluf strip.
Lovely bars and restuarants in both resorts to cater for all tastes.

The further you walked away from Magaluf the better Palma Nova became with some good restaurants and cafes at the north east end and less tacky smut in the shops.
The Pirate Show was excellent and the 2 waterparks at Magaluf Ok.
Beach was clean , not too many hawkers and sunbed hire reasonably priced.

The resort itself was ok not too many smelly drains - lots of nice walks along by the sea.

The resort is kept very clean and tidy and has good public transport links to all parts of the island. There are plenty of shops and bars.

Palma Nova is a lovely resort, with a nice long promenade that stretches all the way to Magalluf which during the day is also an ok resort. However at night Maggaluf is definately for the young!!! Palma Nova is for all ages and very nice to stroll around in the evenings. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. You can reach palma easily by bus or taxi when we went the bus fare was 2.50 euros single and the taxi was 15 euros going and 17 coming back, ok if you are sharing, the taxi took 20 mins and the bus varied from 35 to 45 mins. You can also reach santa Ponsa, Portals Pins by the same buses. the resorts are quite clean unless you go to magalluf at chucking out/up time!! The only annoying thing was the chewing gum on the floor it seemed to be everywhere and loved my wifes shoes/sandals!! a disgusting habit that needs to be stopped!! We do not intend to return in the near future aas we like to try different places and also like Cala Bona on the east coast of Majorca but we would definately recommend it to others there is lots for families especially on the lovely beach which is really lovely.
