Floors on level 6 or above are the better views but all rooms are sea view anyway

Make sure you stay in Sol Mirlos NOT Sol TORDOS. There’s two hotels and this is the most modem and has better larger rooms. Tell reception when you arrive.

Stayed in Torrenova which is smack bang between Palma Nova and Magaluf therefore you have the best of both worlds. Magaluf is noisy and aimed at the under 30's. Palma nova is slightly more sophisticated and aimed at the older/ family market. There are numerous bars and restaurants in both vicinities serving the usual "British Cuisine".
The beaches in both Magaluf and Palma Nova are excellent if not a little crowded, clean sand, life guards in attendance, warm and calm waters.
For an alternative - I would suggest El Mago (about 5 miles away and 8 Euros in taxi, or Portal Vells.) Beautiful coves with tranquil waters great for snorkelling in. (El Mago is also a naturist beach so bear in mind if you are offended by nudity altho not everyone is naked!)

The sea was pretty dirty but thats only because tourists throw there rubbish in it. The beaches are pretty packed but are sandy and beautiful. There is also magaluf just around the corner, good if you want to go to the bar but people on the streets pull you into bars and bombard you with leaflets during the day. Be carefyl though, its pretty dodgy!
I nice area in general, very picturesque!

Wonderful beach and spotlessly clean. Entertainment in Palma Nova more suitable for older couples than the younger generation, who are better accomodated in Magaluf. We saw no drunkenness or loutish behaviour . We were pleasantly surprised , as we have not been to resort for over 20 years.
What has changed is that there is a beautiful promenade with many restaurants and bars. We would return .

Palma Nova was much better than expected. It was much nicer than Magaluf, where you got pestered by reps avery two minutes. However if you're looking at going somewhere typical of the region, I would give Palma Nova a miss, as it's very English!

Magaluf is a great place for everyone and we had the best two weeks ever!
There is so much to do and although we basically had two weeks of non stop partying ( getting in at 8 every morning) there is also a much more relaxed side to magaluf and palma nova if you prefer!
The beaches are really clean although we didnt make it to there very much due to general huge hangovers!
The bars and clubs are a great laugh just be sure to be firm with the p.r's as they become very annoying after a while, dragging you into their bars!
For those of you who are party animals like ourselves, we would recommend you getting the mcp pass which gets you entrance into the 6 mains clubs and bars including banana's and boomarang for only 9 euro's!
BCM is good but to be honest you have the best nights trecking around the main strip, its more relaxed and some of the sights are not to be missed ( girls in mini dresses and trainers for example!)
Magaluf is a really clean resort too and as soon as the bars and clubs close, the streets are cleaned and swept.
We had a great time and are already looking to book for next year!

Palma Nova was very clean. The beach we used was spotless and the sea was clean, except for one day after it had been windy. There are plent of restaurants, English bars and cafes. There is a nice family atmosphere and hardly any rowdy big groups. Some good evening entertainment but did enjoy going into Magaluf. We weren't pre warned about the scratchcard ticket touts that plagued the resort and we were quite cross when we were nabbed by them. The touts were out everyday and mainly grabbed unsuspecting couples and families.

An ideal resort for any age groups.
We were out every night to between midnight and 1.30 with our six year old daughter and never saw any trouble or had any problems – even when on the main Magalluf strip.

Magaluf Fantastic, what else needs to be said. I suppose I would be classed as middle aged but still love to see young people enjoying themselves (coz there are still plenty of good young uns out there, not all louts)and join in with the fun.
Palma Nova Great if you want a quieter night
all you need in either resort is a sense of fun.
the resorts are remarkably clean considering the amount of people the locals have to deal with. both beaches very clean and tidy.
yes we are planning on going back next year.
Ps PIRATES fantastic night out (family night best value longer show and better food, Ive been to both)

Palma Nova is very much a picture postcard resort; the beaches were always clean, as were the streets/shops. There are a good selection of bars/restaurants, but the nightlife is quire family orientated; but for a livlier night out Magaluf is only a 10 minute walk away.
