The hotel is spotless, pools are great, food was delicious and varied every night.
The staff were v friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Definatley more of a family feel to the place, not a real
party place though lots of fun going on.
Mini disco is a bit annoying at 8.30 every night but in a very funny way, great if youve got kids though.
All in All highly recommended .

We had a very enjoyable stay, after being there 7 years ago, we saw a few changes for the better, namely the air condition in the rooms, this was a God send as we had my elderly mother who has lung desease with us, without it she would have found it very difficult.
Also the additional pools on the other side of the road were great. These were salt water pools and wern't as crowded as the ones at the hotel itself.
We added my mother after we had booked the hotel, and on arrival we discovered we had been moved to the apartments, this was better as we had our own bedroom and the addition of the fridge and cooker was a bonus.

Food was varied and of very good standard.
The pool layout was excellent, totalling 6 pools it catered for everyone from toddlers to good swimmers. My own favourite being the salt water pool over the road (It never got too crowded).
Staff were friendly.
Complex and rooms were all very clean and tidy.
One minor gripe, the nightime entertainment is mostly aimed at young kids so couples/singles need to go into town for a night out

The staff are friendly and polite although we couldn't work out why on our first night there, a maid knocked at 9pm and said she'd come to paint our room! We all watched, bemused as she made her way round the room dabbing paint on various spots on the wall which really didn't need painting.
We had a family room with our kids sleeping in a room seperate to our main sleeping area. Extra bedding would have been nice - two blankets were provided and sometimes the evenings got a little chilly.
Locks on the bathroom doors would have been good. Kids find it hilarious to try and burst in on you.
Maid service was excellent (when they weren't painting!), beds always made well and ashtrays washed for us, although we didn't expect it.
We paid to use the safe in our room and had no problems with keeping everything secure. We did notice that when our door was shut, the top wasn't flush with the frame but we were satisfied that it was locked. We came back to the room one day to find maintenance repairing it without it being reported - as was one of the beds which was broken when we arrived.
The tv in our room wasn't working one night so we reported it and it was fixed the next morning.
A puzzling thing was the light switches. Every day there seemed to be a different combination of switches required in order for the bathroom light to come on and sometimes it switched the kids room light on too!
The pools can not be faulted. There seemed to be one to suit every age and swimming ability.
The entertainment varied from good to bad. The kids disco was good for our six year old daughter although the songs seemed to depend on which reps/staff were there each night. The english reps seemed to play songs that the kids didn't know and couldn't follow the actions. The more local reps/staff always played songs the kids loved and seemed more enthusiastic.
We didn't always stay in the bar for the entertainment and listening from our room, we were glad at times! The Brazilian dancers were good and so was the hypnotist but the show that the reps/staff put on one night left a lot to be desired.
We played bingo once and that was enough.
Trips/excursions: we did read reports about the First Choice excursions being expensive but to be honest, we weren't about to hire a car! Riding one of those family bikes (which almost killed us!) was bad enough so we booked with FC to save us the hassle.
We went to Aqua City which was great and the night before we went to see Pirates which is a must for everyone.
The biggest gripe we have about the hotel? It was full of old people. Yes, they have the right to their holidays too but they seemed to frown on anyone under the age of 50, especially if you dared to bring your kids along when they should be in school. We lost count of how many old and miserable faces we saw at meal times. It doesn't hurt to smile now and then.
Mealtimes were good. Always seemed to be something different to choose from although there was one evening I couldn't really find anything I liked but the cakes made up for that. Kids were happy with the choice of cake and ice cream (it was all they ate every evening!).
The poolside bar snacks were lovely and well priced.

Rooms very clean. We could not get the air conditioning working when we arrived (our fault) but they sent someone up within 5 minuets.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Quite a good selection of food
Swimming pools and surrouding area the best we have been to.
There's a ten minute walk to get the bus into Alcudia and the beach but it is flat, or you can get the hotel bus.

Local staff were really funny , the First Choice reps did seem like they were going though the motions a bit but were ok.
I thought entertainment was great my kids really enjoyed mini disco, bingo was a right laugh too !
The pool's were lovely and clean ,pool bar had nice snacks. The food in resteraunt was great a full range to choose from looked yum the kids were asking to go there over pizza hut !
Cheers pub is great face painting and dj, beach is not that far and breathtaking. Also got a bus outside to Inca market that was a laugh with the locals.

The pools were a bit chilly in the mornings but soon warmed up! Plenty of sunbeds (stacks of them still left by lunchtime) but people still reserved them with towels even though it was forbidden by the hotel.
Location... about 10-15mins walk to the beach/shops which was ok in the evening but wouldnt like to do it in the sun.
Mozzys! Yeah a few about, got bitten a few times but we did have a couple of damp afternoons (yes is still rains in Majorca in August!)
Entertainment... not that bad, the Four Tops was the best show, worth a look.
One thing that spoilt the holiday was drunken kids (under age drinkers) hanging around in groups making more noise than the entertainment, where were the parents???

The evening entertainment was great again something different every night.

The rooms were spacious and clean but the only problem was that the balcony door would not shut.
The food was ok, the breakfast was nice but the evening meal was not, seemed to be the same every night.
Entertainment was good but we went out a lot at night.
I think the only thing that lets this hotel down is the noise, drunken teenagers make so much noise. The noise is meant to stop by 12 o'clock but it didn't and no-one told them to be quiet.
I would not return to the Lagotel as the it is a very noisy hotel
