just returned after 2 weeks at the coma gran it was fantastic. stayed self catering plenty of kitchen equipment for any meals we stayed in for kettle,toaster microwave etc.the rooms are spotless maids came 6 out of 7 days with the option of a do not disturb sign if a late night was had the night before. the whole hotel was spotless and well furnished.the staff were all friendly and spoke very good english.we tried the entertainment it just wasnt to our taste but the day time activities are very good the reps are excellent with all age groups.we will be returning here next year.

We stayed at the Coma Gran a few weeks ago and are dying to go back. 8 year old son loved it, 18 month old son loved it too. So much for everyone to do all day and all night.
Sun lounger reserving was a bit of a pain, but we never went down before 11am any morning and almost managed to find a decent lounger - so no need to panic.
Area around swimming pool and pool were cleaned every night.
entertainment was brilliant we spent every night at the hotel because it was so good
Used the kids clubs and the creche and the kids loved it!
Will definately go back in the future

travelled here in may for 10 days with my husband and 3 girls 17 10 and 2 they loved this place,this is a super family hotel and you can tell, the entertainment was inside which was good because our baby is off so quick and the doors are really hard to open, also they have thomson the dog every day story time which the kids love, kids disco great, thomson reps work so hard with the kids.
we went self catering but decided to go half board last 3 days food was ok loads of choice breakfast not that great but you can have cereal, best breakfast had there was in jj's really warm welcome also kings head really nice breakfast went to the kings head in the evening too few times.
we will defo be going back to this hotel, the place was spotless especially toilets and round the pool i would defo recommend this hotel well done to the thomson reps really enjoyed this holiday

This hotel is fantastic.Me & my family have gone two years running,the hotel is beautifull,spacious,very clean and above all most friendly.i found the staffs english birilinat they was all good fun including the reps,the nightly entertainment was absaloutly amazing we did not have to leave the hotel atall,everything was onsite for the entire family,although we did eat out alot.

we were allocated this instead of the bonaire and the playa mar what a let down how they could compare the coma Gran to the other hotels is a joke.
there is nothing in comparison we found the coma Gran a big disappointment.
the hotel reception was very clean but when you got to your rooms they were dirty especially under the beds and the bathrooms.
the pool area the toilets and the children's entertainment area was filthy ground in dirt. we never saw these areas ever being swept or washed down.
we complained to the reps and were told that they had had a lot of complaints but the hotel manager wouldn't do anything about it we kept on complaining and we were told we could move hotels we did but we were told we would get a full refund we are still at war with Thompson's.

Excellent hotel - 4* plus. Two small niggles - the lifts were breaking down on a regular basis and the evening bar staff needed to be increased. Five minutes from the beach and well positioned for a 20 minute walk to Cala Millor or 10 minutes to Sillot.
Entertainment team were great. Special mention to Magic Martin, Kit Kat Kaz and Kat Rabbit who all gave 110%. Nothing was too much trouble - Magic raised to the occasion when a holidaymaker dared him to dress up as a wrestler for super splash - very entertaining!

We went to this hotel as a couple without children and found it was not ideal for us, however if we did have children it would be perfect as it is very child and family focused.
The room was great, it was big and had everything an aparthotel gives you but the double bed was just two singles pushed together and they slid away from one another. You will fall down the middle!! We were on the front of the hotel and had great sea views and had the sun most of the day on the large balcony. A word of caution, we were originally on the first floor but we asked to be moved immediately as these floors are directly above shops, bars and restaurants and the noise would have been too much.
The hotel is very well placed right in the heart of Sa Coma and it takes a minute to walk to the lovely beach. The hotel was very clean.
The staff all spoke good English.
The food was excellent!! Huge choice and lots of desserts. Unfortunately the crockery in the restaurant was not always washed very well.
The sunbeds in the pool area were a nightmare to say the least. People were getting up well before seven to go down and reserve a lounger. It meant everyone had to do the same and it got ridiculous. Some people did not even come down until after lunchtime if at all. Apparently it is always like this. The reps were no help at all in stopping this. The pool is lovely and there is loads for you to do down there.

Very clean and tidy hotel. Nice spacious rooms, with most of what you need, inc some BBC TV & CBBC.
Excellent location, couple of minutes from the beach and right next to bars and restaurant. Very nice beach.
Recommend Royal Oak for food (Britannia poor) and Tarramundi Pot over the bridge in S'Illiot (ran by British couple, very nice).
Good entrtainment team and plenty going on. Agree with the comment about need for more bar staff on a night.
Would definitely go back.

Have just read reviews as am thinking of returning to hotel after many, many years so my date 2006 is not accurate at all....sorry....but thought my comments might be useful.
Obviously some things regarding the hotel have not changed in 12 years!!!
The entertainment was first class, hotel v. clean, food great but the pool far too small for a family hotel and the sunbeds were an absolute nightmare! Getting up early to get one was quite ridiculous. Reps never did anything to help regarding this.

I visited the Coma Gran on the 13th of July and stayed for 2 weeks. I had a superb time but a few minor quibbles.
The pool is far from huge and with large inflatables it doesn't make swimming in the pool very enjoyable with having to constantly look over your shoulder so you don't get hit. Water guns were all a very popular thing which also I must say caused some concern as when you were swimming you were always squirted. Waking up at 7am in the morning to get a sun bed is far from restful. There were mad rushes to the sun beds and when the doors weren't open until gone 7-15 people jumped over gates to get their beds.
I must say though the cleanliness of the hotel was superb the staff were more than helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble.
The entertainment was also very good and we had a superb time at the Coma Gran.
