The resort of Santa Ponsa was beautiful, lovely sandy beach with the added bonus of a wooded area at the back of it where there were some lovely parakeets flying in the trees. Very safe for children on the beach and in the sea, plenty of them around when we were there. Lots of night life if you wanted it, or just a quiet stroll along the promenade if you didn't. Ample restaurants for all different tastes. We will be visiting again in the future.

I have been to this resort before, it didn't seem as clean as before, there are plenty of bars to visit.
The beach is fine, safe bathing for children.
There are plenty of shops and the buses are frequent, the taxis are very reasonable.
This was my fourth time at this resort, I would come back, I love the place, we have always been made welcome.

The beach was great and it was clean. Sunbeds cost 4 euros a day. lot's of pubs with live music.

The resort is geared up for Irish visitors with the majority of pubs and eateries targeting that market. For example, Danny's Corner; Sean's Place; Mrs Murphy's Kitchen; The Dubliners. Nothing wrong with that, but there is a lack of good restaurants and authentic Spanish entertainment. There are two beaches, the smaller being really lovely. There is a long promenade and the usual souvenir shops. Buses are plentiful, as are taxis.

Probably a different bar, cafe and restaurant for every day of the year, to cover all tastes and prices. very clean, people very friendly. Buses very cheap and frequent to other areas. Good walking area 1 1/4 hours to Palma Nova along pleasant footpath.

We loved this resort right mix of quiet when you wanted it but there is no shortage of bars and restaurants if you want it. We did not leave the hotel in the evening as the entertainment was so good so cannot comment on the evening in the resort. Beach is clean and well managed.

Didn't really venture too much out of hotel as we were all inclusive but near the beach there were a number of bars that seemed more equipped for the younger end and then there was the square which had entertainment with lots of bars around it!

As far as I can tell there are 2 parts to Santa Ponsa. First there's 'The Strip'. This is a very noisy part of town dominated by British bars selling British booze. The clubs are open till 6 am. You are constantly pestered by people selling their wares as you sit and have a drink. Not my cup of tea.
However, walk along the seafront and you come to a calmer quieter part. Here you will find dozens of restaurants of all nationalities and the usual souvenir type shops. If you step up the side streets you will even find delicious tapas and traditionally made sangria. (unlike the sangria they sell on The Strip!)
I would go back to Santa Ponsa. The weather was perfect and all in all the resort is lovely.
