The beach is lovely! But stay away from this hotel!
Don't go. There are much better places to stay in Menorca

Didn't need to spend much time outside the hotel. Did find on walking around everything clean and people friendly. Visiting Capital by bus, was easy and reasonably priced.
Beach a little littered after a rough sea but mostly calm and clean. We are really looking forward to next summers visit.

The resort of Arenal is set around the large horseshoe shaped bay dominated by two large hotels. It was very clean but there wasnt an awful lot to do here. Generally I think the resort was very quiet and not many tourists were around, think mainly due to the two big hotels in the resort (think both are both AI) so people dont want to venture very far and spend money when its already paid for. The owner at the Irish bar - Bar 51 - did have a moan about the Aguamarina eating into his profits so far this season. We did spend a lot of time in this bar and had some really good nights. The Robbie Williams act is a must see, he was really quite good!
The beach was the best part of the resort. The sea was very calm on most days (we did have a storm or two and the sea did get very choppy with very big waves). There was a drop in the water though so something to be wary of. We spent a lot of time here away from the bustle of our hotel. We didnt hire sunbeds or umbrellas but they were €5 each to hire.
I personally wouldnt visit this resort again. Too much emphasis has been placed on the AI hotels and not enough is going on in resort. A lot of the shops, hotels and restaurants were closed and it was very quiet.

Arenal d'en Castell is a beautiful horse shoe bay with a lovely view. The resort was very clean with a few shops, restaurants and bars. It is a very quite resort. You can get a bus to Mahon and a land train ride to Macaret.

Nice resort, perfect beach especially for the younger children. Not much going on around resort so dont expect much, this is a quiet place but so is all of Menorca really. Not good for teenage groups, suit the couples seeking a relaxing one and good for families with young children under 10. Try and pick a hotel that has entertainment.

Quiet resort but stayed on the hotel complex most of the time as there as so much to do. The beach is to die for and plenty of room for everyone.

Beach was clean and safe to swim but when we were there alot of people were getting stung by jelly fish.Entertainment at night was down to 2 bars the outback bar and irish bar both put on tribut singing acts on alternitive nights and were quite lively both were just down from hotel.

Due to us taking out the AI we stayed in the hotel at night due to the very good entertainment.
The beach is superb for young families, sun beds around 10€ per day.good bus service into mahon, fornells, son parc.there are quite a few bars and restaurants in the resort.
Mahon is 15mins by car from the resort, son parc golf club around 10/15mins.

This is a small quiet resort with only 2 large hotels. There is a land train that tours the resort but it can be easily accessed on foot. The beach is excellent and the sea is crystal clear.Entertainment is low key.The resort has bars and restaurants located near the beach. Also some at the coves noves centre, there are bouncy castles, crazy golf, pool tables, ride on electric cars/bikes and various electronic games to keep the children occupied in both locations.Price of food is similar to the u.k but drinks are more expensive about 3-4 euros a pint. There are two supermakets in the resort which are reasonably priced. There are numerous bus stops located around the resort for the local buses. The buses are reliable ,air conditioned and cheap.Use these to visit Mahon.
