The beach is lovely! But stay away from this hotel!
Don't go. There are much better places to stay in Menorca

The resort itself was spotless and well maintained, the way the euro is at the moment means that people are not booking in any of the resorts so its relaxing but lively if you want it.
All the entertainment is free and there is something on every nite if you want it,we spent most nites at the outback bar watching freddy mercury, the supremes, the temptations, elvis, but there is entertainment everywhere you just walk in sit down and enjoy hotels included.
I did a lot of bus hopping visiting lots of places and walks there is so much to do here if you look for it but the best beach we found was the one in this resort it was fantastic and warm water.
Last thing now,I am a vegetarian and find it hard to to get something to eat as there is a limit to how many lasagne you can eat, don't get me wrong the restaurants are all good the jappi bar and Chinese are exceptional, but the best by far was smithys, what a place it doesn't matter what you ask for it is done it is the only place that will do a veggie pyealla for one.So if you are a veggie you will love here we spent seven out of fourteen nights here to eat

Arenal D'en Castell is beautiful. It is a horseshoe shaped bay with golden sands and clear blue water. It is shallow so suitable for young children but I would not recommend it for Karioke enthusiasts or teenagers. The resort is laid back and quiet with only a few bars/restaurants (definitely not like Benidorm). There is an Irish Bar and Australian Bar which are worth a visit but stick to the local beers - San Miguel was 2,50 Euros but Strongbow 4 Euros a pint! The beach is beautiful and if seaweed does come in it is cleared up the day after. Can't wait to go back.

Arenal d'en Castell is a beautiful resort, very clean and with a lovely beach. We were here in May and the resort was very, very quiet, some apartments were not open and there appeared to be some debate as to whether they would be opening this year. We can highly recommend Smithy's Bar to eat just up the hill next to the Pharmacy. We stayed in this resort back in 2005 and it was just as good as we remembered, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

the resort of Arenal Del Castell is a very beautiful horseshoe bay with a lovely beach and stunning views. The entertainment in the resort is limited to a few bars and restaurants for example there is a great irish bar if you like a drink and some good irish humour, an australian bar, an english bar, a chinese restaurant, and a few spanish restaurants which serve meals to suit all nationalities. We would certainly consider visiting this resort again in the future.

Wonderful resort, really quiet....no larger louts etc....

Not a lot to do but thats what we wanted, just a lovely relaxing holiday.

All the shop owners/staff were friendly and did not try to force you to buy or to eat which made a refreshing change

Having never been to Menorca before the resort was just as the brochure stated, very picturesque and well laid out. Although it was the end of the season, as adults we can make our own entertainment, but the Irish bar was always a good fall back, and we had a a few good nights in there! The beach was really good, but snorkelling was out because of an invasion of jellyfish, brought in by the storm on the first night of our stay !! We would definitely visit this resort again, although our original holiday destination was Skiathos which we lost, this was a good substite. Two hours flying time and a great airport, Mahon and Menorca will see the four of us again. Thankyou Spain!

I think this resort is very small for the amount of visitors it has. The bars that are there fill up quickly. We visited the Outback where you can watch entertainment but bar peices are quite steep.
There seem to be about 10 different places to eat and although most places pretty much the same we liked the cocktail bar during the day as it had a pool the kids could use. The best evening meal was Bridge Cafe with excellent service and value for money.
The bus service compared with the south of the island was quite limited. Hourly in the morning with a gap in the afternoon and two buses back in the evening. Again ques in the morning were quite big, especially on market day.
By far the best attraction was the beach, the two days we went, it had lovely waves. Everything there was clean. The sunbeds were 15 euros for a day but we coped with a umbrella we got from the shop and our towels.
If you have kids beside the beach is a goody goody park costing 3.5 euros for 2 hours play. We ate here a few nights as it was so reasonable and the kids were happy. This palce gets our top marks for sangria!!
I would visit this resort again but only on a quick deal and just for the week only.
