The bars and restaurants offered lots of choice, although being family friendly meant that gormet food wasn't on offer. But having said that the service, the welcome and the childrens meals more than made up for this. There were loads of things to do in the evening with the kids included rather than excluded. We would visit te same hotel and resort again. We had hired a car for the duration of our holiday and found it really useful for visiting other beaches and other parts of the island. There were plenty of supermarkets within a 10 minute walk of the hotel so you didn't have to have a car.

Resort is great - not ideal if you are a beach lover but can always hire a car and there are beautiful beaches along the coast.
The water park is great a bit expensive, but if you go after 3.00pm you only pay half price. All the bars cater for children and the main square does have a few late nite discos - foam parties etc. A must is Maxxies bar where the sunset is absolutely fantastic and so is the food.

found caln forcat to be a fairly clean resort with a fair few bars. we visited a couple but tended to go back to our complex for the evening entertainment.we did go to the square but only once, saw the freddy mercury tribute which was good.had some lovely meals and our favourites were at daisy,s , castawy, and the anchor.we did go to the beach which was only a two minute walk from our apartments only a small cove but very pretty, loads of jelly fish though.the beac was ok not the best in the world but kept out kids happy for a few hours.

Great family resort with something for everyone. Our son loved the bouncy castles and trampolines at Park Aire, great value at 2.50 euros, stay as long as you like with a free ice lolly when you leave. We had to go 3 nights in a row! Nice to sit and have a drink whilst the kids are happy playing. We had nice meals at Bar Yucca, L'Ancora and Cuore with plenty of choice on the menus. We caught the end of the Spice Girls tribute band in Jimmy Hills square one night and it was great for the older kids and adults. They have bands on there every night I think. The beach coves are a little difficult to access if you have small children and buggies, down lots of steps. We went to the cove at Cala n Blanes beach instead, well worth the walk and there are a couple of bars down there. The water is shallow and safe for the kids, superb snorkelling as well, just watch out for the jelly fish, they put up a warning sign if there are any about.

Cal 'n' forcat was very clean, the evening entertainmet is quite low key however there is plently going on in the two main squares but after the first week we were fed up and ready to go home. We didn't have a bad meal during the week we were there and the best place for breakfast is Castaways Bar. I wouldn't vist this resort again just beacuse we found it small and there was only so much you could do.

Resort is centered along one road, although many of the bars/restaurants have attempted to provide entertainment for children in most instances this comprises a small bouncy castle or slide. We found only 2 places where we were happy to allow our son to play freely whilst we ate. Both of these had an admission fee of 3.5 euros. The beaches we visited were lovely, very small and not really easy to get to, so if you love the beach then this place really isn't for you. If you love your english food, don't want to miss your soaps/football then this is definately the place for you.

We found the resort to be very clean at all times, we did not good to the beach so we can not comment on that.
