Do not leave any items outside to dry as they will be stolen by local thieves who are targeting hotel due to ease of access and lack of security.

The resort is great for families..no noisy drunken people out late at night..just families having fun..the local restarant opposite binimar is out of this world.

The water park is also good fun..I would recommend this resort to everyone I know..what a great place to relax and have fun.

Cala n forcat is quite a busy resort with so many bars and restaurants we are always spoilt for choice. Las Brassas is an excellent restaurant for meat lovers and has typically authentic spanish dishes as well as english. The entertainment held on a nightly basis in "the square" is really very good, but get there early as it is extremely popular and the place fills up fast. Children are well entertained in most places with inflatables and some sort of pool table, air hockey to keep them happy, for a small fee with a free ice lolly for unlimited play(on the inflatables) is good value. Can reccommend Captain Drakes Bar (by the roundabout in the centre) for a bar with a friendly welcome and Ricky who works there is a lovely guy. We met him 5 years ago and remembers us every year.
We keep going back yearly because the children love it, its a lot cleaner than alot of the places we have visited over the years. The island on a whole is beautiful and car hire is a must if you want to see some more of Menorca. Car hire from the rep at reception in the binimar is cheaper then anywhere else in the resort.(it was for a 7 seater Seat Alhambra). Cant wait for the next 3 weeks to pass when we will be there again.

The resort is lovely it is compact but perfectly formed. There are many resturants which cater for all tastes, bars and the square which have very comfortable seating and tribute bands playing 3/4 times a week. There are many shops which sell everything you need and lots of things that you dont need but buy anyway. This resort felt very safe and I was happy to allow my two teenage boys to go out on their own of an evening with the friends that they made while we were there. We visted 4 beaches Cala n Brut which is by the Taylot apartments was absolutly beatutiful but they were all superb (and I am not a beach person). I am going to look at re booking again next year.

Brillant resort if you have kids under 12, most pubs have bouncy castle and trampolines to keep the little ones amused. Apart from the water park there isnt much for the bigger kids.

Most of the restaurants offer kids meals (burgers/nuggets etc) and bouncy castles, great if you want your kids eating chips all holiday and bouncing on hot bouncy castles! Found one lovely restaurant called L'Ancora, just past the blue arch, lovely paella, really nice spanish atmosphere, welcome children and babies, actually had a decent high chair. reasonable prices and clean. friendly staff.
Beaches: Walk past the blue arch to Cala N Blanes, lovely little cove, think its not that popular as it was so quiet when we went there, little bar and restaurant. Great for kids. Beach near the hotel was fine but a bit of an unmade path to get to it, not great with pushchairs.
The 'Square': Entertainment every night in the form of a tribute band, 4 or 5 bars all offering football 24/7 and beer and happy hours.. crowds of noisy people all wanting to get drunk and ignore the fact their kids are ruining wild.. (I have kids who know how to enjoy themselves without disturbing other tables)Spent one evening there that was enough.
Centro Commercial: Cocktails and Dreams Bar at the top of the spiral walkway.. what a lovely bar, the owner is the friendliest man ever, he was so obliging and the kids were made very welcome, fabulous views over the resort. Nice and quiet too away from the noise.
Shops: Same as most of these places, souvenirs, tacky gift shops, chinese buffets everywhere oh and henna tattoo and hair braiding people on every corner.
We went off in our hire car for three days it was fab to get away.
HORSE TROTTING: probably the only menorcan thing there, just up from the Binnimar and Sea Club is the local horse trotting race track, sunday nights at 6pm till about 8pm, fabulous fun, my kids loved it.
Cala N Forcat is ok but definitely not for the quieter families or those who like to eat proper food !

cala n forcat is small but excellent for families. very geared up towards family fun. lots of entertainment and restraunts bouncy castles , tramolines and aqua parks. on the main road is a complex called jimmy hills really friendly staff and over the road a fun house, trampolines , inflatable slides , go karts , bunjy jumps and mini train. the kids loved it here and since they can play on the trampolines , fun house and slide for 4 euro great vaue also the children get their hands stamped and can return as many times as the like that day. our kids loved this and made lots of friends. the beach is a sort of cove but pretty none the less and sun beds can be hired their is also a kiosk there serving drinks and snacks which was good value.
the entertainment was on the square and there were different tribute bands etc on all really good. we really loved the resort and would definatly return.

All bars we visited were great-we liked the fact it was full of families and we all felt very safe at all times-Castaways was superb for a cooked breakfast after we had been out late the night before.
Loads of shops and supermarkets-we found the Asda down the road the cheapest although the supermarket on site was reasonably priced and well stocked.

I could live in this resort! It was lively, exciting and had lots going on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a beach about 5 minutes walk but it was small which is my only complaint; other than that it is in a great location! Very close to supermarkets, restaurants and more entertainment. I would go there every year if i could!
