Santo Tomas is a very pretty resort that is very clean and well maintained the beach was lovely but it rained most of the week so we did not get chance to use it.If you like lively resorts this is not for you, we were bored. The bus service was good always on time, but not enough only 4 a day to Mahon and Ciutadella, if you wanted to go to another resort you had to get a bus from either of above. We also found the supermarkets and shops very expensive, because you had no choice but to pay the prices.Hence we ate out all the time, because i hate being ripped off.The resort does have a few places to eat, but there is not much difference in the meals offered. Halleys bar was okay, has internet access for my teenager who was really fed up 1 euro for twelve mins, they do mean bacon baggette, with hp sauce wich my teenager loved. All in all this resort is lovely and very relaxing, very pretty and if the weather would have been better it probably would have been a more enjoyable holiday. Having said that we prefer something a lot more lively and would not visit again.

Resort was clean. No rubbish in sight.
There are shops selling gifts, papers ect and a small supermarket where you can buy most british and German basics.
The resort itself is small, two sets of shops, a handful of hotels and a few bars. It is quiet but a pretty and relaxing place.
Public transport limited. You can go to Mahon or Citudella 3 times a day. Beware. Arrival and departure times do not stay strictly to timetable. A car would be beneficail if you want to see the island.

This resort is very quiet. No late night bars or noise.
The beach is soft white sand - beware it gets very hot by 2.00 pm! Restaurants are plentiful. Special mention to the chinese restuarant - very tasty food.

Fantastic! Hotel spotless, staff brilliant, reps fantastic, they work so hard. Pools at hotel very clean, cleaned daily, new towels in rooms daily.
Beach safe, area coned off for safe swimming. Lifeguard on jetski patrols area. Food in hotel very good. Rooms very clean and o.k. size. Chinese down the road is great.
Doctor pedro (above supermarket) is brilliant we had two visits to him!
We got off plane and went straight to book it up again for next year! Cant beat this hotel, amazing!

Resort is very small - a handful of restaurants, one bar which shows british football games!
Two supermarkets and a handful of gift etc shops. If you are looking for nightlife, discos etc this is not for you. Ideal for families with younger children who need to get an early night!
The resort is very clean. Lovely and green too - surrounded by green hills. Some villas to die for in the hills above! Tennis courts available in resort (fairly expensive to hire for hour), crazy golf. The supermarkets are expensive - owned by same man so no competition.
Next year we are hiring a car for all the holiday so we can go and do a big shop at the large supermarket down the road (amongst other things!). If you want cleanliness, peace and quiet, a clean and beautiful beach, lovely surroundings then I can thoroughly recommend this resort.

Santo Thomas is quiet, peaceful with a clean, safe beach.
The beach is well run and lifeguards are in attendance.
The location is good for walks and the abundant marine-life makes the sea in this area excellent for snorkelling or scuba-diving.
This is all great, if a quiet family holiday is your desire – But we met a few people who wanted a bit more night-life and were slightly disappointed.

Not much going on and you have to depend on hotel. Some good walks to joining beaches. Two small supermarkets if you are self catering. Buses only visit Santa Tomas twice a day from Ciutdella and Mahon.

We all loved the fact that the hotel was so close to the beach (in fact we did not go in the pool once, preffered to go to the beach, I would recommend that you hire a car (we did) as the public transport is limited.
Re the entertainment - we are not really into hotel entertainment, we tend to do our own thing (go for eveing walks), would advise the ST Thomas is ideal for evening strolls (especially down the promenade).

Very very very quiet. Only 5 bars to mention. No late pubs or discos if thats your scene you need los delfins or cala n porter. For anybody who wants to relax, on a beach that's safe for kids, with no lager louts this is for you.

The beach was beautiful, very clean, water was crystal clear, safe for children, patrolled by lifeguards....
The resort of Santo Thomas is really quiet, ideal if you want to just chill out,not so good if you're wanting to head out and party...the pubs all shut by twelve!
Eating out tends to be expensive, and the menu's all pretty much offer the same things, but the food is OK...one restaurant I would NOT recommend is the one on the far right hand side of the beach near where the beach flag is, the food was terrible, overcooked, and definately overpriced! Avoid it like the plague.
Entertainment was OK...pretty much aimed for children, but the quiz and bingo did manage to hold your attention for a wee while.
Drinks are overpriced too...think the whole resort is owned by the same company, and they obviously know they can charge what they like because you have nowhere else to go.
Advice for you...hire a car.... Santo Thomas, although beautiful, is so quiet its almost morgue-like...head to
Ciutadella, lovely city, quaint shops, nice restaurants...Mahon is not so nice, but has a nice harbour and does plenty of boat trips.
Head to the North Coast too...dramatic scenery, think you get a taste of the 'real' Menorca up there.
Would definately recommend the holiday, I loved it...so relaxing and peaceful....
Would I go there again? Not with the kids...but as a romantic break...definately.... :o)
