The cleanest resort we have stayed in, and as this is our seventh visit to the island we have visited them all. Our fifth holiday to Santo Tomas.
It is a very small place with only a few nice restaurants, but the hotels in the resort also open to non residents, so it's nice to try their buffet meals then sit and enjoy the entertainment.
Car hire is good and because the island is small you can cover most of it in a few days. We love visiting Cuitadella (to eat down at the harbour), Cala n Bosch (the kids like the water park, then to have a meal at the marina, Arenal d'en Castell (for a day on the nice beach and a picnic), and we usually try to catch a local 'fiesta' and join in with the local culture. But it is always really nice to know that we are returning back to such a clean, quiet and well kept resort.
The beach is one of the best on the island, cleaned daily with plenty of lifeguards on duty, lovely white sand and turquoise waters.
Only a couple of gripes, (1) The supermarket can be costly if you are going to do a lot of cooking (if this is the case take a trip to the hypermarket and stock up and, (2) The beach beds and parasols on the beach are dear. Six euros a day per item, which adds up to a lot if you intend spending 14 days using them. Although we get some odd looks at the airport, we now take our own (£6.99 for a lounger at Argos).

The resort is very quite.Only a handful of shops and a couple of bars. The entertainment was around the hotels in the resort. If we go again we would hire a car as only one nice walk and this became very boring after a few nights. The sea is very clear but,i do think the beaches could be cleaner.A good resort if you want peace and quite.

I can see what previous reviews mean when they say quiet, it was really quiet, but that didn't put us off because we were in a big group.
We loved it in the bar across from the apartments Halleys bar (The Shammy as we called it after a pub near to where we live) The staff were great and always friendly. We named all the bars after bars near to us for easy remembering. In the Shammey we saw a famous face Leo off Easyjet.

Sant Tomas is a fairly small resort, with a good beach but entertainment outside the hotels is lacking. Car hire is reasonable and although the roads are pretty basic (all single carrigeway) the island is small and you can get from one end to the other in about half an hour.

Santo Thomas is a jewell,we stayed for two weeks and came back very chilled. It's not for partying but relaxing.Only two supermarkets and a few gift shops and a very good English speaking chemist.A lovely place for young children and a beach holiday, and what a beach, possibly the best on the island. We went to Las Dunas bar most nights for entertainment. Most bars close by midnight. It is certainly on the list for a return visit.

The resort was very clean, there was hardly any litter and it was very peaceful - at day and night!
The entertainment was good, as I have said, Las Dunas was the best place for entertainment! (for kids and adults)
The beach was very clean, the sea was crystal clear and NEVER had any litter in it. The weather was beauiful!
Would most definitely visit this resort again.

The resort is quiet. Good beach. Only problem was the bed and umbrella were a bit expensive. Enough shops and bars.
We would recommend a car if staying longer than a week as could get boring.
We can't wait to book for next year.

The resort of Santo Tomas is very quiet. We were there for 7 nights and visited all of their retaurants during our stay with days to spare. There was only 4 independant restaurants and all were serving from the same menu, which was very limited, expensive and very small portions. Kids ordered fancy ice creams from menu, when they arrived they were just basic scoops of ice cream with sauce and whipped cream on, no fruit what-so-ever like on menu photo, when asked where the fruit was, the waiter just shrugged his shoulders. There is just one bar, which claims to be English, the beer was OK, but we ordered 4 English breakfasts which came just about raw, would not advise anybody eats there. We enquired about the nightclub that we saw in resort, and were informed that it only opened July & August and that was mainly for Spanish locals. The supermarket opposite Lord Nelson Apts is very well stocked but you pay through the nose for it, as you seem to do for everything in this resort. The beach is good and very clean, but there are no amenities at all on it, no beach bars or toilets, so be prepared to walk backwards and forwards to your hotel. All in all, this resort is not suitable for people who like to eat or drink at different places as there is next to no choice and everything closes at midnight, so early nights all round.

First time away with our little girl who was aged 9 months at the time.
We went with friends who have a little boy who was 19 months old - we were all used to liveley holidays so booked this to be on the safe side for our kiddies sake!
We were told it was a quiet and relaxing resort - what an understatement! The place is dead - it consists of a few hotels and apartments and 2 extortionately priced supermarkets (Owned by same company!).
No restaurants - only food is available in each hotel - and they all serve the same things and are overpriced! Hardly any entertainment (Las Dunas? - over the road). Pretty boring after going once.
All in all a deathly quiet holiday which has put us off Menorca for good - a shame really. Unless you want an extremely quiet holiday with nothing to do - I would recommend staying away from Santo Thomas.
