I stayed at the Broncemar Bech Hotel in Caleta De Fuste. Everything was fine apart from the food and the cockroaches. Before I travelled I booked half board and made sure throught the travel agents that vegetarian food was going to be available and they had confirmed it was. For 3 days out of my 7 days I did not get a vegetarian meal. I spoke to the rep and the hotel manager who promised me that their would be veggi food and I was then told to eat salad. I also had to move from my original room during the middle of the week as we had cockroaches swanning around everywhere. The last thing you want to do in the middle of your holiday is to re-pack and run around the hotel with your cases to another room. I was very disappointed that this hotel is classed as a 3 star plus. The only thing that kept us going was the Entertainment they were the best and really made out holiday worth staying for.

The apartment was very clean and very spacious but no air conditioning so could get a bit hot. We didn't see any bugs or cockroaches at all which was good. The beds and furniture were not particularly comfortable but we got by.

Good location, only a 5 minute walk to beach, shops, restaurant, bus stop etc.

Far too many kids for our liking - and all going wild around the pool tables etc!

The entertainment was watchable but got a bit monotonous 2 weeks later!!

The only thing I would recommend is that you request a high floor apartment - we didn't think this would be necessary when we booked as we didn't particularly want a 'high' floor, but we hadn't realised that the apartments are only 2-storey so by high floor they mean first floor. We ended up on the ground floor as a result of this and we had no balcony, just a terrace outside the patio doors with nothing to divide us from any of our neighbours!!! It was like sitting out on the pavement if you ventured outside. We really missed having our own balcony and a bit of privacy which you would get on the first floor. We did ask at Reception if we could move but were told that they were completely booked.

The Broncemar is ideal for people with young families and teenagers but not really for couples, like us, looking for a relaxing holiday.

We have just come back from our holiday at the Broncemar Beach on a self catering basis. It was always clean and there were no bugs or insects, which we were pleased about!
The staff on reception were helpful but only when they were ready, they wouldn't rush to see to you.
The entertainment was absolutely brilliant, but only if you like that sort of thing. There are two pools you can use, one is a quiet one where you won't be disturbed by the entertainment staff and the other is if you want to join in with the daily activities. There are quizzes, games of water polo and even themed days. The evening entertainment is just as good and very enjoyable, you will not find anyone funnier than Rob - he's a great laugh.

Very basic facilities for self catering. You need to hire a kettle and toaster if you want one. We ate out mostly so didnt bother.

Maid service was very good. Complex itself is starting to look a little worn and needs a bit of maintenance here and there.

Entertainment team of Alex, Hayley, Danielle, Rob and Sarah made our holiday. They were brilliant with both kids and adults. I advise you to join in the activities, its a great laugh.

We would definatley go back.

Broncemar Beach Hotel, my husband, myself & my 13 year old son stayed here - self catering, but had breakfast most mornings in hotel + dinner a few times. Room was cleaned about 5 times a week, including towel & bed linen changes. Maids came quite early in some apartments, but afternoons in ours. Food was pretty good, but basic. Breakfast was same choices everyday, but dinner seemed to change daily. We ate out in town restuarants most nights for variety. The staff were good at their jobs and provided an efficient service, particularly the restuarant staff & the waiters at the pool bar, who all worked very hard. The entertainment team were very good. They worked extremely well together, better than I have seen anywhere else. We would stay here again in the future. The pools were spacious but quite cold. Sunloungers were limited as many were 'towelled' by 9am, with many people not using them until the afternoon, despite notices asking guests not to do it. Quiet pool & entertainment pool available. Snacks/meals available at pool bar most of the day.

We had a ground floor apartment which could have been bad as there is nothing seperating the apartments. However we got on brilliantly with the family next door so it really helped the holiday.

My mum and dad had the apartment above us and had a massive patio for sitting about on.

Two pools, one for entertainment and one for swimming in, so if you didn't want to join in you could go to the other pool.

Pool bar waiters were all great and very helpful.

Only tried the restaurant one night and the food was ok. Went out every other night - there loads of restaurants nearby - never found a bad one yet !!

The location was excellent - no more than 5-10 minutes from the beach or restaurants.

The beach is lovely - watch out for the sandcastle sculptures !!

Also a mini-golf course which was fun especially if you have kids.

However the best part of the holiday had to be the entertainment team - they were absolutely brilliant and had us in stitches most nights. Rob is a scream especially when he gets it wrong !!

I would definitely go back to these apartments again !

Just got back from the Broncemar Beach hotel. It was great.

The hotel was very clean and the pools were clean.

Had to ask for clean bedding as they never changed them for a few days. Wish we had a private balcony, you are sat outside with all the people off the same block. Had a TV in our room and a microwave, they were very handy.

Hotel was good value on half board basis.

Very clean except pool areas could have been a wee bit cleaner and tidier. Hotel food gets eight out of ten from me not bad at all,Location was perfect ,ten out of ten.

Hotel staff were ok except two of the bar staff were very arrogant and could not count ,the price of our round went up and down like a yo-yo and when I questioned it I was given a dirty look and a receipt I think was written in brail cos I couldn't read it.

Entertainment was very good they work very hard ,JIMMY was by far the funniest and the most friendly member of the team ,but the rest were as good in their own ways.I would go back any time.

WE were there 27/7/05-10/8/05.

The hotel is self-catering, we had 2 hobs and a microwave with which to cook - so a little limited (no grill or oven). The room was nice and clean - the beds were made but the towels were not always changed. There were no insects - which is cool!

There is no air conditioning, which is always a nice extra to have - but we coped.

The beach was about a 10-15 minute walk away - which is fine if you are not taking kids (we didn't have our kids with us so we didn't enquire about a little bus that seemed to run)

The staff were okay - but (and this is something we had prior warning about) the bar staff short change you A LOT - you give a 20 Euro note and they give change from a 10 - even English bars with English staff did this - we had one guy who did it twice in a row - this is not a problem as long as you keep an eye out for it - they give it back to you without arguements!

The entertainment - erm, well we went looking for live bands (and there are quite a few) the kids seemed to be well entertained at the hotel though - we would hear them, and it definately sounded like they were having fun!

I would go back to this hotel - but we have 3 kids and we dont know if they cater for more than a family of four in one room???
