Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities
Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.

Try for pool view room. Some of the ground floor apartments at the rear of the complex didn't get any sun.

It had been about 4 years since we were last in Corralejo and it's certainly grown during that time. The area beside the water park is really well done, and I'd expect it to simply improve in the coming years. The little complexes of shops beside the hotels, now appear to be coming into their own and they all appeared busy.
The main front street, whilst much unchanged is still clean and offers a variety of shops and restaurants. The beaches as ever are lovely.
This was our first visit during the summer months and we certainly discovered that the deceptive wind might well keep the temperatures down to a much more pleasant level than you find in the Med but the strength of the sun is ferocious. We drastically underestimated how much sun cream we'd need - when visiting in the winter, we'd always gotten away with factor 8 and 15, we needed to go up to factor 25 and 30 this time to prevent being burned. As a rule of thumb I'd look at using a bottle a day next time we are there.
I don't see the resort developing into Blackpool in the sun....still way too laid back, as is the island as a whole. Perfect place for a relaxing break that still has enough to keep you occupied through the day.
We'll be back.

In corralejo itself there are so many bars and restaurants to chose from. On the main street is "Chablis" which had the nicest fillet steak on the island, also the "steak house" was very nice too. Rosie O'grady's had the nicest beef and guinness pie, burgers and a good selection to chose from.
We also went to finnigans bar, where there is a family quiz night every monday and friday night, it has a friendly atmosphere.

Correljo was clean and tidy, there wasn't a lot of traffic and drivers were always very courteous. A good range of shops. But a reluctance by shops to accept credit cards.

We stayed in Corralejo and were very pleased with this choice. Its a great family friendly area with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants and if you like chinese food you will probably be able to eat at a different one every night as there is so many of them!
The beaches were lovely with crystal clear waters and were kept very clean while we were there.
Corralejo as a whole was kept clean and tidy.
The only complaint we did have was about the steet traders hassling us to eat in their restaurants and handing us leaflets and also women pestering people with little girls to have their hair braided. It was a pain at times although once they recognise you after a week or so they usually get the message!

The resort is ok is is very young and lots of construction is occurring which means it is getting popular. The resort is close Lanzorote only a 15 min ferry ride. It does not have the usual street sellars but you can get the sunglasses and watches at the market. The beaches are fabulous only 3 euros taxi will get you to the famous dunes and surf areas, the water park is good but a family of four will need 100 euros all in. The resort is not too clean but there are plenty of good places to eat out which was handy for us as we had to eat out a lot. I would visit the area again but not at the Tamarindos. I can only thank god that we had friends like Ann Marie Grant Richard and Jenny plus all the kids to keep me from going mental

Resort not very big but enough to keep you occupied, lots of free entertainment on offer in various bars, hypnotists to magic shows to bands to elvis impersonaters. The water park is good value 20 euros for adults 12 for kids.
