Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.
Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities

Don’t come here !!!
Try for pool view room. Some of the ground floor apartments at the rear of the complex didn't get any sun.

Beaches

Fuerteventura does tend to be windy, which is great when its a very hot day and good for surfers. The beaches are gorgeous, particularly in the south of the island.
It is a very relaxing island and still developing. There are the island trips but we prefer to chill out and enjoy the restaurants/bars.
The main street in Corralejo has the usual shops but venture of to the "old town" and hunt out the little shops, harbour and spanish restaurants/bars.
There is the Atlantico Centre if you want karaoke/fun pubs which go on until the wee hours but not as crazy as Gran Canaria or Tenerife. Pick up a copy of the "Grapevine" to find the music bars off the main street. Rock Island Bar and the Imagine Piano bar are great, there is even a rock bar!. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants, all with lots of fresh fish.
Corralejo is great for couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun!

Excellant.
There is no doubt that this is the classiest resort I have visited in the Canaries which I may add would not suit those wanting to party.

There was lots of dog muck on the pavements walking to the town centre wasn't very nice!
The entertainment was limited at night but Sadies drag show is an excellent night out and the Blues Brothers which we saw at the clock house was really funny.

Corralejo is very nice on the whole, although there is a lot of building work going on. Flag beach is a definate must see and the lava bunkers that have been made on the sands are ideal for relaxed sunbathing.
Highly reccomend the Chinese buffet meals in Corralejo, they are lovely food and as much as you can eat for around 7 euros!!!.
We would definitley return as it is a great winter holiday.
Also highly reccomend the Lanzarote discovery day trip it was fantastic.

We have been to this island a few times now and stayed in various places corralejo is a very busy resort now full of
english bars and very much geared up to the english, didnt see many germans atall the whole time they tend to go to the
south of the island and head for the big beaches down that way. I felt the place needed a bit of a spring clean reminded me of parts of benidorm on a smaller scale it is expanding very quickly and i think has lost a lot of charm
felt a little grubby. Plenty of places to eat the argentina
steak house great best steak i have had for ages, also service very good you can see you meat being cooked very clean place, the night before we ventured into the main steakhouse opposite on the main road a man with long grey hair stands outside forgotten the name but very disapointed
with that meal no taste at all soggy vege and undercooked
chips. When walking down to town there is a little italian
resturant sent back from the main road with just about 10 tables in it, lovely place plays harry cornick type music
smashing food and nice owner.

Corralejo is in 2 halves which have grown into each other. The new town is very much geared up to the British market with the burger and chips brigade well acommodated.
It is sometimes difficult to find somewhere to sit when you have a 2 year old who thinks that the main road is a great place to play.
There is a shopping centre in the new town called the Plaza which is great for kids. Also, the greatest thing about this shopping centre is that there are no shops - only restaurants. We tried the Italian, Mexican and Indian and found the food very good. We also found the staff to be very accommodating and friendly. The great advantage of this place is that the kids can run around without you worrying about where they are. We didn't try the Chinese but I must say that the smell made me want to heave !!
The old town, towards the harbour is made up of the original Corralejo resort restaurants and bars. Each of these now has an English person at the front enticing prospective customers. Unfortunately, the food and service in these restaurants seldom reaches the expectation levels provided by the salesmen. In fact, one of these chaps even took our order and served our food on one particular unfortunate night. It was like being served by Shane Ritchie ! Fantastic......Not.
There is a bar on the beach called the Corintia which serves good food and has the added advantage of allowing the children to play in the sand whilst you get steadily slaughtered. Also, this bar has a happy hour between 3.30pm and 5.30pm. I must say that we spent the full two hours in there on one particular day, taking full advantage of the happy hour, and left only 7 euros worse off! This became a regular haunt of ours after this time.
Not much else to say about the resort. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and there are also a million supermarkets for those on a self catering basis.
And fortunately, most of the British lager louts have not yet found Corralejo yet so you can enjoy this resort in relative safety.

You either like Corralejo or you don't. We did, finding it much cleaner and quieter than South Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Yes there are some souvenier shops but also some more upmarket shops selling a wide range of goods. We didn't go for the shopping so it didn't really affect us.
There is a twice weekly market up near the water park which incidentally wasn't open - not sure why.
There are lots of good restaurants and bars, too many to mention
all of them but the Tuna salad was to die for at the Waterside off the main street close to the large beach. We didn't have a bad meal there and they were very friendly. Windy Millers bakery up a side street by the harbour did some lovely take away baguettes pasties etc.
There's a good choice of Supermarkets which don't shut for Siesta so no one should go hungry.Theres a lovely icecream/coffee bar again on the main street which was probably 80% responsible for the five pounds I put on.
There are daily boat trips from the harbour, ferries to Lanzarote and various excursions around the island. We found Tourventura in the main street really good and enjoyed the Island tour, the highlight being hand feeding the chipmunks up in the hills.
The public bus is cheap and reliable and can take you to the other resorts on the island. Some days we sat at the small lock up bar on the way to the harbour. The lady is really friendly. She just sells drinks and a packet of crisps if you're lucky but its a great spot to watch the sea and the boats coming in and out.
I'm not sure that we'd go in January/February again as the weather was very mixed though we only had one full day of rain out of fourteen. The first week was often hazy and the wind could be quite strong and chilly even in the day. The second week (Feb) was much better and averaged over 20 degrees with only a couple of short showers.
There is quite a lot of buiding work but it wasn't noisy or intrusive and none near the Atlantis Palace.
A fortnight is probably long enough if only that you might not fit in the plane seats if you stay any longer.
Happy Holiday.

Resort:
On the whole this is a nice resort with plenty of restaurents and bars including about 20 chinese's. Do not go the mexican in the plaza as is the worst meal I have ever had. Poco loco does fantastic steaks, also lovely food in the music square with live music every night. The nightlife is good, not as good as many other European resorts but you can still have a good night out. Flicks is the best bar with Kareoke all night. Also go to Waikiki disco (right on beach) and the Labrinth club opposite. flicks. The shops are good, there is a MANGO for the ladies and bennetton and several others. The mini golf above the plaza is good, there is a bar there so you can buy your drinks as you go along.
The beach is not the best but if you can go to the sand dunes as they were fantastic.
I would not go back to Futureventura as have been to several places I enjoyed more and if I did I would not go in January as the weather was terrible. Although is wasn't my best holiday I really enjoyed it and so will you, I hope.

Lovely resort, nice people. It is quiet compared to the other canary islands. The beaches in Corralejo were fantastic, especially the ones by the dunes.
