If you don’t mind the noise from the main bar area in the evenings then the rooms close to reception/around the big main pool are ideal as their close to everything, pool, daytime entertainment, restaurant, reception, bar etc
Rooms further back behind the gym are better if you have smaller children and prefer not to be disturbed by the evening noise. The pools further back are quieter and the middle pool has a nice splash play area for younger children.
If you have rooms on the lower level you do hear footsteps of people walking around above you.

Maspalomas was great! apart from Jumbo centre, which was quite scary for me!
There's nice shops and it's good to visit the strand!
The taxi drivers tend to drive fast! but your safe!
The foods really nice and all restaurants! and I would love to back sometime, recommended for families!

Great for couples, not too busy, nice new promenade with some stylish restaurants and bars and a new shopping mall and a few boutiques and shops.
campo golf is a great place tom stay as it is quiet but only walking distance 5 mins to faro 2 with its restraunts and few bars all open till late lots to do for children here aswell. Meloneras and Playa Del Ingles are only a 2 or 3 Euro taxi ride away, Meloneras has some more expensive shops and restraunts but very nice and beautiful views of the dunes, Playa Del Ingles is a lot livlier lots of bars and restraunts but you can get pestered by time share and people trying to get you into bars (Just be firm with them)
But don't let that put you off.

The resort was mostly clean, Mas Palomas sea front area was a little dirty and could have done with a road sweeper, the entertainment wasn't found really, its a quite resort but then again we didn't look for any!
The beach is volcanic dust, so the kids look like they are playing in mud. Walking in the see is ok, but I prefer white sandy beaches.
The water park is excellent lots to do for the day, also the camel rides over the Mas Palomas sand dunes is a must, plus you can get a full colour video.

This resort is fine Maspolomas is the biz lots of good nightlife, lovely beach and those dunes watch out for the nudists mind :O))
Maspalomas is lovely place. Take lots of cash because there are some lovely clothes shops, shoe shops cosmetic shops.
The beach is lovely but quite busy and it's very clean and tidy. Walk around too far and you might find yourself on the nudist beach, no prior warning so be careful!
Bars seemed good and not too hectic like Play de Ingles.
Be sure to go for a camel ride over the sand dunes for only 10 euros each. My bargain of the holiday.

Maspolomas is basically beach , dunes and shops.
However it's peaceful and within easy reach, as are Playa del Ingles and Puerto Rico, (both more commercialised than Maspolomas.)

The resort was lovely it was clean. The beaches were wonderful. Shopping was really good as well, very cheap.
The area we stayed in within Maspolmas was very quiet. Very nice, clean resort.
Maspolomas is quiet - although with all the construction going on in a couple of years will be very busy!! New shopping/dining complex being completed on the beach in front of th hotel. Plenty of shopping in Faro and bars and restaurants along the sea front. The sand dunes of Maspolomas are only a short drive away
