The hotel is a family friendly run place, the entainment by Becky was brilliant, she had something going on everyday and night for all ages, the night entertainment was very good, especially Peter the great who my husband said he would never hypnotise him, was he so wrong best night of the holiday (especially the next day when people kept telling him to get the fire brigade, he did not have a clue what they was on about)the bar staff was very friendly. On the beach there are two good places to eat the Duke of York this is the place to eat if you are really missing proper English food, and an Italian next door very good food. Taxis availiable straight away when you order from the hotel reception. We have all said we would come back and visit if Becky stays there for ever.

The resort of Amadores is idyllic the beach is crushed coral with plenty of sunbeds and parasols for 2euro all day.
Theres plenty of eateries along the beach front and 2 recomended ones are the Cafe Viking where large beer in frosted glasses for 1 euro 20 cent and the London Pride where the meals are huge and reasonably priced.
You can hire a pedalo for 8 euros for an hour but put sun cream on as its very hot when on the boats. Beautiul promanade there is some building work going on improving the area but never effected our days.

Puerto Rico is becoming very popular with an increase in accommodation available. It has 2 main areas of entertainment which are good. It has 2 main beach areas which Amadores is Very Good indeed. Lots to do to keep all ages entertained during both day and evening. Would highly recommend the resort.

Amodores is beautiful it was the ideal place for a nice quiet break for us. we had the night life of Puerto Rico around the corner, but to just come home of a night to peace and quiet.
We had a one bedroom apartment and it was a good size nice and clean and a balcony to breath taking views.

The beach is spotlessly clean, they even give out beach ashtrays free of charge outside the toilets! Can't say there was much in the way of entertainment in the resort, but if you wn't a quiet, relaxing holiday this place is just the ticket

Amadores is a pretty quiet place and I wondered how the bars where staying open in the centre, because every time we went up there is was very quiet.
It is a spotless place and the beach was lovely.
I would visit Amadores again.

we stayed in the quieter area but if you want banging bars there easy to find.the thing that spoils it for us is the touts, they dont like, or they dont understand, iam not interested. you more or less have to tell them to bog off.having visited the centre of things its all very tidy the beachea were excellent,we had a very good week, the weather was fantastic even in febuary it was 80 degrees.

Amadores is 4 years old,has a semi-circular man-made beach surrounded by bars and restaurants that mostly opperate from 9am til 5pm. The sand is crushed coral and when new was fine and soft. Sea and wind action has washed out the fine stuff however and now whats left is coarse and sharp.
Just wear sandals, buy a snorkel and mask set from the diving school here and treat yourself to watching the fish-life 6 foot under the surface. The bay is linked to Puerto Rico by a 1 mile walkway with wonderful sea views. The only worry I've got is how the weather seems to be changing for the worse over the last few years. 10 years ago the locals were shocked if it rained more than once in Puerto Rico. Now it seems, it's getting quite common.

The beach was nice and sun loungers were available for rent for 2 euros & 50 cents. Each visit to the toilets cost 50 cents. The sand consisted of broken shells and was a little uncomfortable to walk on in bare feet, but in some parts it was ok. For me the sea was really cold, even on hot days, but after saying that it was always full of braver people swimming, and was very clean & blue. The Europa shopping centre was small but most things needed could be bought from the shops there. The Europa was actually better than the bigger shopping centre in Puerto Rico town centre, which consisted of most shops selling exactly the same things! Visiting Puerto Rico town centre was a headache, lots of people bothering you to enter their bars for breakfast, etc, and trying to sell time shares and the like.. you get none of that in Europa. The trip to Puerto de Morgan on the ferry was lovely, very picturesque. The market made for great shopping too! The weather was unusually bad for the time of year we went, we only had 7 days of sun out of 14. I would go to Puerto Rico again, but not the Amadores resort, and not in January.

Not a nice place at all, where you can't walk a hundred yards without being mithered by touts.
