Ask for a room in Block 1. Walk to puerto rico and then take the boat to puerto mogan for the day.

I have been to the resort before and the entertainment in Puerto Rico (especially The Garage Bar) was just what was needed for a superb all round holiday

Amadores beach is a nice resort, with a great beach. The bars and shops are very pleasent and although some of the holders try to get you to go in, they remain pleasent when you say no!

The Old Vic bar at the beach does great lunchtime food and drinks and the staff are very friendly and efficient.

Puerto Rico (a 2.50 Euro taxi ride away) is equally pleasant, with good shops and bars.

Both resorts are very clean. We did not go into Puerto Rico in the evening, but did go into Amadores most evenings and enjoyed the banter with the bar holders and traders.

A number of 'Irish' Bars, all serving nice beer!

A pleasent way to spend an evening!

Amadores beach is lovely.

Puerto Rico is very loud and bright in the evening. Nice to go and have a mooch round the shops even though they all sell the same things.

The harbour is really nice and there is a cafe there that does the best bacon butties!!

Amadores itself is very quiet, hence only 3 stars, apart from the beach bars, which seens to be the main nightlife, which suited us as we are not party animals, along with a small Europa shopping centre about 800mtrs away, consisting mainly of small bars & restaurants and a handful of shops. It is situated next door to Puerto Rico. We decided to walk there one evening - not recommended, it took us 35 minutes and was not very pleasant, due to the steep location. Plus the fact that we were hot & bothered on arriving. We should have taken a taxi, as our return taxi was only 6 erus (approx. £4) and took lexx that 5 minutes!
There are new hotels and apartments in the process of construction. Amadores truly is an up and coming resort.
Yes we would (AND ARE) visiting again

The resort was very clean, I had no complaint's. There was lot's of shop's down the sea front.

From eating to stationary shops. The resort entertainment was good, there was always something going on.

The beach was very clean, well preserved.

I would definitely visit this resort again.

Puerto Rico is a resort of two levels. Above you have the option of the smaller Europa centre with its bars and restaurants to cater for the quieter part of Puerto Rico although there are still the facilities of mini golf, the Barbacoa (where you can see Elvis, The Drifters, Rockin Jock etc.) great fun. Or you can go to the main Commercial centre where there are many bars and restaurants to visit. There is also Puerto Ricos own water park and mini golfs plus the superb beach. Go on jet skis, or the big red a wonderfully powerful jet boat, or a ferry to Puerto Mogan to the wonderful market. So much to do so little time. Enjoy!

This is a man made beach,semi-circle in shape, fine grit/sand.There are some shops and some nice cafe's/restuarants backing onto the beach area, nice meals in the evenings(about the same prices as at home ).
The walk from Amadores to Puerto Rico is man made in the rock face with a fabulous sea view ,takes about half-hour.
Be prepared to get pestered by time-share/sellers when around Puerto Rico beach.

Amadores is a quiet resort with a very nice beach and an ample selection of restaurants. For less than 3 Euros or a 20 minute walk you can visit Puerto Rico which is much busier, so you can have the best of both worlds if based in this resort. I found car hire to be very reasonable ans the port of Mogan is well worth a visit.

Amadores in a couple of years time is going to be a lovely resort but I wouldn`t go back for a couple of years until the building work has stopped.

There are some lovely eating places right on the beach and for a more energetic night a taxi into the main resort is only 2 euros away.
