Playa del ingles is brill!!!!! Kasbah and Yumbo centres if you want to party til dawn. Irish centre is really good, or just go to the beach front for more relaxed pubs ands resturants. Maspalomas sand dunes are amazing. If you want a great meal go to the Red Cow.

I strongly advise people to stay away from the Irish centre. Me and my friend had out drinks spiked on the first night and this resulted in total loss of memory and being violently sick the whole of the next day. The hotel charged me 150 euros because of the sick. My friends bag was stolen on this night. We have been reading reviews on this centre and found about 10 other people suffered this experience.
The kasbah centre is a nightmare. If you like being hassled by bar reps then you'd love it. Also alot of sleezy locals hang around there saying rude comments as you pass them.
For good fun go to the Yumbo Centre. They had good restarauts and the entertain was great. There are no reps trying to get you in there bars either.

The beaches were lovely and the water park was good fun. Nightlife was ok, depending on what you like. Definitley keep away from the Irish Centre. It's dodgy as hell!!! We got our drinks spiked on the first night, don't remember a thing, had my hangbag stolen! It happened to loads of people we met out there too, so be careful! Kasbah is ok if you're on a wild, boozy holiday and like having buy one get one free plus a free shot and free cocktail offers forced on you!! Too many dodgy blokes for my liking though!! We preferred the Yumbo Centre - much more relaxed, chilled out. Nice restaurants, plus you don't get hassled AT ALL. I'd go back to Playa Del Ingles, but just wouldn't stay at Los Salmones and i'd avoid the Irish Centre like the plague!!

The seafront was innundated with chicken in a basket/burger and chips resturants, and I use the term loosely. Like all tacky areas it has it's sections for so called entertainment. A so called irish area and a gay/transvetite section which along with the german majority make it look like a lycra fest.
Joking aside if you imagine the costa's with very little genuine spanish identity but burger and chips then it about sums it up. If it's the costas you want, save your money and extra flying time and go to the costa's. Gran canaria isn't worth the difference.

I must admit we didn't see a great deal of the resort and literally spent every night in the Yumbo Centre after a few bevvies in Detox Retox down the road! Wicked bar and the manager Keith is very helpful and friendly and is happy to sit down with you and tell you the best bars/clubs to go to.
The bars at the Yumbo are brilliant. Worth a look even if you're not gay. We often ended up staggering home at 6 am and always had a tale to tell the next day by the pool.
The weather was fantastic for the entire week except one afternoon when it started spitting. Nevertheless we were the only ones still laying on sunbeds beer in hand being entertained by H.
I've been to Playa Del Ingles in the past and I stayed at the other side of the resort. Had just as brilliant a time last time too although that holiday was much more low key as I was travelling with a partner.

We could not fault the area apart from the walk from our accomadation to the beach, which is not resort fault, but we were central for the centers, the beach is wonderful, taxi's are cheap to get around resort, so many cheap but nice places to eat and drink, there are plenty of supermarkets, with wide choice if you want to eat in.

Playa Ingais is a great family party area with something for all ages with a total mix of nationalities all having fun. The teenagers can party all night and children are included in most of the pubs with ammusment arcades every where allowing adults and children to enjoy a night out together. The beach is endless and you are not pestered by vendors. There are lifguards along the beach and facilities to wash the sand off of your body when you wish to leave the beach. There are lots of resturants, shops and bars along the front so all in all is a place I would definately return too.

THIS RESORT WAS FANTASTIC, HOWEVER IF TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN IT IS VERY GAY FRIENDLY. THE YUMBO & KASBAR CENTRES ARE VERY CLOSE BY WHICH ARE BOTH FULL OF BARS, RESTURANTS AND LOTS OF SHOPS. THERE IS A PLACE CALLED HOLIDAY WORLD IN MASPALOMIS WHICH IS A COUPLE OF MINUTES AWAY IN A TAXI, THIS IS A GOOD FAMILY LOCATION WHICH HAS A SMALL THEME PARK, BOWLING RESTURANTS, AND A GOOD FAMILY BAR WITH ENTERTAINMENT EVERY NIGHT. THE SAND DUNES ARE SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE HAVE TO SEE HOWEVER IF YOU GO BE CAREFUL NOT TO STUMBLE ONTO THE NUDEST BEACH IT GOES FOR MILES. ALL IN ALL A GREAT HOLIDAY LOCATION.
