Excellent little hotel about 10 mins walk from the beach and main bar/restaurant area. Booked last minute as a cheap easter getaway. Booked room online as a single room and was expecting something very basic but ended up with a twin which also had a kitchen and a large balcony at the back which turned out to be very private and sheltered from the wind.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and the entertainment staff were excellent in keeping the kids quiet and were more than happy to pop out for a drink with the adults afterward in the town.

Room was supposed to be cleaned every other day however it was more like every 3rd day but that could of been more to do with me sleeping in as other couples I were speaking to said they got done every other day.

Food was a bit samey but there was plenty of it and more was bring brought out all the time.

Only complaint I can think of was that the room was very close to the entertainment area and sometimes during the day you could hear the reps rehearsing for the night time and it was loud so you couldn't pinch an hour sleep on the balcony during the day but that probably isn't the best idea anyway.

read mixed reviews on this hotel before leaving so went with an open mind but after staying a week there i can honestly say it has put me off ever returning to lanzarote. i have been to the island 4 times and enjoyed previous visits. the hotel is set back away from main area with wasteland surrounding you. first impressions were its quite nice - reception spoke excellent english and were very helpful. room was very basic and didnt have the sheets changed at all in the week we were there, towels were only changed 3 times and cleaners just popped in gave a quick sweep and were gone again. pool was nice if a bit cold but they all like that in canaries so kids just dived in and were happy. the kids entertainers were fab, they really tried their best. the restaurant is really small for all inclusive and the food is so so boring and predictable - chips - pasta with a awful tomato sauce. it was the same thing daily. we even noticed that some of the food was re-used if if wasnt eaten, they just made it into mixed salads and soups etc for the next meal. food wasnt hot - not even warm. this could be a nice little place if they sort the food and cleaning staff out as it is what lets the place down. we didnt go hungry but that is because we stuck to salad and bread rolls, i have been all inclusive many times and this was by far the worst. had we have gone self catering the holiday would have been better as we would have eaten out everynight so would have spent very little time at the hotel. they also have a bad cockroach problem, they are the size of cigarette packets some of them, we had to buy powder and spray to keep the critters out of the room. they seem unfazed by them. there was 3 in restaurant and the just picked them up and threw them out. all in all this place ruined our holiday

there was 3 of us sleeping in one apartment we only got two towels to use every two days my sister and her boyfreind had to leave there aparment and move into ours because the apartment 2304 is haunted honestly who ever has stopped in this apratment will tell you it would be so hot in our apartment but when we went in there there was a weird atmosphere and it was freezing the food was boring we had the same thing everyday except for one night when we had turkey the pool was freezing and we had to pay daily for the tv it was supposed to be all inclusive !!

went to ficus to celebrate my birthday in the sun! we had a fantastic 2 weeks. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, they booked flowers and a birthday cake for us, all the staff smiled and said hello, even the maintanence men!
our sheets were changed twice and also the towels, we were only given 3 towels between the 4 of us but it was ok, the room wasn't cleaned very well but aslong as our beds and bathroom were clean we didn't mind, we weren't in there much!
we did not see any cockroachs the whole 2 weeks.
the pool was cold but it did not stop our son spending all his time in it!
the food was boring but there was always something to eat and there was a microwave to warm it. we did eat out a couple of times, didn't mind as we had a cheap holiday.
the entertainment was good. usual holiday things but thats what its about!
weather was great...better than snow!
we would return to the ficus!

aberyst? somewhere in wales made our holiday. will defo be going back.

Just returned from our annual xmas weeks holiday and returned to to lanzarote after 5 years in tenerfie and fuertuventura
The ficus is in a brilliant position at the end of a road on its own, nice small friendly complex.
A short stroll takes you to several shops and bars and a 10 minute walk into the main area so well positioned all round.
The whole place was clean albeit our romm which did not receive the cleaning previous guests mentioned.
Bed linen wasnt changed at all and the bathroom didnt see much of a cloth, however the room was very spacious and overlooked the pool (as all of them seem to). Loads of storage and a small kitchen if you neede it with fridge. Yes the tv cost 3 euros a day but are people that sad they go on holiday and have to watch it. Kettle was 1 euro a day but come on this is all inclusive, walk to the bar or restaurant.
Safe was a very cheap 13 euros for the week.
All staff were polite and friendly and reception spoke good english
The food was absoloutly fine a bit boring for me as i eat all sorts of foods but cooked well and always had meat and fish pasta etc as well as chips everyday for the moaners. Wine beer spirits and soft drinks were available at lunch and dinner.
Breakfasts were superb with full english fry up every day. Ok so the bacon wasnt danish, what a shocker in spain eh!
Pool was good warmer than my last trip to lanzarote 5 years back and plenty of sunbeds.
We didnt bother with the entertainment but what we saw of it the kids were very happy with.
Being all inclusive and a cheapo holiday we didnt expect much but the drinks were amazing. every spirit you could think of plus baileys malibu etc which we havent had on 4 star caribbean holidays.
Superbly positioned in a cul de sac on its own close to all amenities.
Every one seemed happy here until the last day and i could not believe what i was listening to.
A family who remain nameless with a party of 5 actually stated to me personally it reminded her of a back street slum of Manchester.
She said 25 complaints had been filed in a week and will no doubt right bad reports about it maybe on here.
It baffles me why some people moan instead of enjoying themselves so dont let it put you off as i would happily spend another week at xmas here again.
This place is what you expect, cheap friendly clean slightly basic but great value for money and kids under 10 will love it.

found hotel very clean and tidy at all times. bed linen changed every other day and cleaned 5 days a week.food was excellent and could not be faulted, with a different theme every night - chinese mexican spanish and even english roast on sunday.
thomas cook entertainment team - leanne mike and billy were fantastic, they realy made our holiday something special. if you want to be involved in fun and games or just want a rest this small complex was just fantastic.

we had a fantastic time the food was lovely and plenty of it .The staff were friendly and helpful .The maid service was 5 time aweek and the apartments were very clean .The hotel entertainment team Leanne,Billy and Mick were brilliant and did so much to keep the kids and adults entretained all day and night.The ficus was such a friendly place everyone got on wih each other..

the hotel it self was brilant and it was very clean .
The staff was very helpful. I am looking forward to go back soon and it was very beautiful.
