We have just returned from two weeks at this hotel and enjoyed ourselves very much! After reading some bad reports before we left we were almost considering changing our holiday booking...glad we didn't!
The Punta Jablillo has got an excellent location (much better than many others in the resort). We consider ourselves to be quite fussy about where we stay but have to say that when you go to this hotel you have to bear in mind that it is a reasonably priced holiday, and if you are expecting luxury then book a four star (the Punta Jablillo is not that). The club is not up to much but we didn't use it for entertainment anyway, the new animation team is Sandra & Julian & they work hard, as do the hotel staff, including Halifax 'happy hour'. The food is a bit repetitive but we never once missed a meal and could always find something to suit us! We had a studio overlooking the sea, big bathroom which was very clean, our only fault found with the accomodation is that the ajoining door between apartments although locked and not a problem did allow more noise than usual to be heard from your neighbours!
If we return to Costa Teguise we would use Punta Jablillo again!

Noise & vibration from pump room in basement kept us awake all hours,1am,3am 5am,7am -a nightmare.
All the JMC rep did was run off to the Uk without telling us & leave us in the lurch!.A disgrace.
Site management were mostly uncooperative at solving the problem.
Back in the Uk ,Thomas Cook/JMC head office are still trying to sweep us under the carpet. Not good enough.
DON'T TOUCH THIS SITE OR THOS COOK/JMC WITH A BARGEPOLE!

must admit we enjoyed out holiday here (i came home on 22nd feb with a 24hour stomach bug too - I was the only one to though!) We thought the food was above average!
The kids had a great time when the sun was shining and at nights (the mini disco was the night's highlight for them) but they got a bit bored when we had the awful weather from 17th - 20th Feb. Julian was great fun for them but there is only a certain amount one person can do six days a week on his own!
The accommodation was adequate (we had 2 well equipped bathrooms in our 2 bedroom apartment) and we had loads of space (2 adults 3 kids and a baby)
All the staff were friendly (but in my opinion very overworked - seemed to be working very hard 12 hours a day, seven days a week - but never showed any strain!).
From a rather fussy ex travel agent and her even fussier husband we can recommend this if you have got a bargain holiday (not worth in our opinion full whack brochure price!) We would go there again as the all inclusive was great for our kids (burgers, hot dogs, ice creams.)
My final word of warning is if you book a two bedroomed apartment (if you have a rent-a-crowd like ours ) please request a quiet room (i.e. away from the boombastic Camelot/King Arthur fun pub) as it stays open until on average 4 am! (my 7 month old loved her night bottle accompanied by the boom boom though!)
I think the best thing to do is maybe request a sea view room (this block appears newer and the sea views are lovely - you can watch cruise liners come in and sail away - very romantic!
If you are feeling flush and are lucking for a bit of luxury try the Occidental Teguise Playa next door (Thomas Cook book this I think) - we looked at this place longingly every time we walked past (plush ! and all the rooms have sea view!) The Punta Jablillo is very well located in near shops, beaches, restaurants etc.
Hope this review helps!
regards
rachel and family (looking forward to our next holiday now in Menorca!)

Loved every minute so did my 6 kids.
Food got boring but what do you expect it was a cheap holiday.
Can't wait to go back

Having arrived at the punta jablillo we were pleasantly surprised. the place is immaculately clean. rooms were fine and spacious. My wife is wheelchair bound but found it easy to get around the complex with many ramps available to access all areas. Food was reasonable, nothing as bad as some of the reviews make out.we ate out twice just for a change of scenery but certainly would'nt have minded eating in. Staff very friendly, entertainment could be improved. not a lot to do in town but all in all a pleasant place to go for a family holiday.so much so wer'e booked to go back this november.

This was our first visit to Lanzarote and we were very pleased with this hotel.
It was very clean.
The food was good with lots of choice and it's in a great location, right near the beach and the centre of Costa Teguise.
The entertainment was a bit poor but we enjoyed going out in the evening to one of the numerous bars in the resort.
We have booked to go again in March '05 so we are slightly concerned after reading some of the comments other people have made, particularly about the cleanlinless of the rooms/pools.
Will comment again once our holiday is over.
