The staff at this hotel were excellent but very overworked. The so called hot food was cold and bland except for the salad which was very good if you were a salad eater. We went at the time of the year when we thought it would be child free big mistake, the kids just ran wild at night up to midnight when you tried to have a drink in the concert room, their parants had a lot to answer for but they did not care whos enjoyment they spoiled so long as they could have a booze up. As a matter of fact the entertainment was only geared up for children. The laundry arrangements were a disgrace in that hot climate one sheet change in a fortnight is not acceptable, it is unhygenic. We did not get value for money, having to go outside and spend our money for good food and enterainment when we have already paid for an all in holiday. We will visit Costa Teguise again but never at this hotel, self catering in future for us.

2nd time at this complex and myself and the the family really enjoyed it.The staff work like slaves to keep the place clean and always have a smile on there face. ok the food does repeat itself the 2nd week but it is very eatable and the booze never runs out (lol). Met some real nice people there especially stanley and lena (the entertainers)they do really try there best.Think the location is unbelievable and is an ideal hotel for parents with young children.

We stayed here in September and was very disappointed. The rooms were clean as they could be but needed extensively refurbished. We had cockroaches in our apartment every night, it was horrible. As we were on the ground floor there was no gate/door on the terrace and this wasn't very safe for our 2 yr old as we overlooked the circular pool. The food was plentiful but lukewarm. The weather was fantastic which made the holiday bearable.

Unfortunately our daughter was violently sick two days before we came home, on our return the doctor confirmed that she had picked up a Water Borne Infection namely Cryposporidium from being in the swimming pool, and this was confirmed as three days during our holiday there was incidences of eg. human faeces, vomit and nappies being found in the pool.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel in September, and wot a mistake that was. As we arrived in the reception for our first night there were kids jumping all over the pool table and running riot in the lounge, it was then that we knew this was not going to be what we had supposedly booked. We had been told when booking the holiday that the hotel would be virtually children free, 3 star, and very nice, all to find children running amok ,and the food was a complete shambles and repetitive, and by the look of things leftovers from the day before.

The hotel itself was ok, the location was splendid, and the staff worked like their life depended on it, but to get only one sheet change after nine days was totally unacceptable and very unhygienic, especially as the nights were around the 24 degrees mark.

The hotel was pretty clean but the staff were constantly cleaning up after people, and the pool area was like a rubbish tip in the mornings, covered in fag butts and all sorts of leftover drinks and food, (no wonder there were cockroaches around), how some people have the nerve to treat the place like that is beyond my comprehension, I know that people are on holiday and having a good time, but would you live like it at home?

I have read some other peoples reviews of the hotel and I am amazed at some of the nice things people have said, which I can only assume is that you are either easily pleased or live a lower lifestyle than the average person.
The staff were brilliant and friendly especially Jose and Tara the receptionist, and not forgetting Maria
I know that we wont be going back to the Punta butlins again but we will be going back to Costa teguise.

I was highly disappointed with this hotel. When we turned up at the reception it was not a good start as there were other holiday makers complaining about the hotel.

The food was tasteless, and was repeated and there was not much choice and we ended up eating out a lot, which was not the point as we paid for all inclusive.

The view from are room was great, and the staff were friendly, but over worked, and it did not help when people left it in a mess, as there were bins about and they left drink and rubbish around the pool which kept going into the pool.

The entertainment was o.k. if you have children and enjoy bingo a lot.

I would not go to this hotel, but the location is great with the lovely bay and how things are so close to the hotel.

I went to this hotel in September 2004, and I can say that I hated it there, terrible food and restaurant.
The entertainment was ok if you were under 6 years old.
The cleanliness of the hotel was like living in the ghetto.
Staff were amazing and worked like mules, but could not really understand English.
Sheet changing every 9 day is a joke
Paying to watch the TV also a joke

Reps are useless and don

Hotel was ok to sleep in and lounge by the pool all day.

Entertaiment was very poor, not enough to do for teenagers.

The food was a joke, very poor standard, four of us got the dreaded runs caused by the poor food standard.

What ever you do save your money and do not go to this hotel.

Only thing that let Punta Jablillo down was the lack of decent entertainment at night. Childrens entertainment was only about 20 minutes long sometimes, teenagers didn't have a look in at all.

This was the 2nd time we have been all inclusive, so were aware that the food gets abit repetitive but what do you expect. We had a BBQ twice a week and carvery night. There is a good choice of food.

When we were there there was a stomach bug was going around, it was nothing to do with the food. My husband came down with it the end of the first week and daughter in the second week. Other children and adults got it over that period as well.

Could not fault the apartment, good size, cleaned 4 times a week. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Jose (Halifax man) who worked behind the bar was fantastic and a good laugh from the first time of meeting him. Waitress called Maria is a lovely lady, brilliant with the kids, short curly hair, she was thrown in the pool a couple of times but took it as good fun.

Everywhere on the complex was always kept clean and tidy.

The holiday was excellent, standards excellent, not bad for a 2 star.

Punta Jabillo, more like Punta Hellhole. So many uncouth people! It was like a bad case of Butlins.

Groups of teenagers hanging around the reception, throwing drinks over each other, spitting food on the floors and scuffling between themselves.

Entertainment virtually zero.

Rooms extremely basic.

Bar areas closed by 12am.

Lots of thieving from rooms to which the JMC reps and hotel management were totally uninterested. How can they justify the price.

Would I ever visit or recommend this hotel again. No, definately not.

Punta Jablillo was a very clean hotel to stay in which was nice. The maids cleaned the rooms 4 times a week and did a good job of it. The only thing that really spoilt our holiday was mainly the food which was not the best and the entertainment in the evening which was a complete shambles to be quite honest. The hotel staff were all excellent especially one of the waitresses called Maria who was a really good laugh and very helpful as she had a look and bandaged my daughter's finger when she quite badly bruised it at the water park. Another good laugh was a bar attendent called Jose (who looked like the man off the halifax advert) he was a diamond geezer and a really good guy to get along with.
