Location
Hotel was cleanish (lick and a spit spring to mind) and the staff were very polite, reps need training in every area possible, location was beautiful, entertainment? Well such a pity my 11 year old had to be removed from the entertainment room because of a vile drag act! Never again would we visit this hotel, its over rated!
The food was vile, I never ate for the last two days, our daughter lived off pasta for the week, the best thing there was the water, it was fresh and cold!
The restaurant? Ha! Canteen more like, my child

We didn't like the meter on the t.v. the cleaners did their job well. The food on offer was excellent and very good quality.
The hotel was located close to the sea with good views of the ocean and to the right a de-salination plant(but so what,we had to wash).
The staff were real hard workers with a cheerful attitude.the entertainers were good fun and worked hard at keeping people happy.I would visit again.

The entertainment.... what entertainment it was Christmas after all. The bar staff need to smile when they did it was clocking of time or they had wind.
There was nothing to do for the kids. Never go there ever again

The so called restaurant was horrible - the smell from it made you sick, the food was pathetic, and the food on the kids buffett was raw, some of the food from the bbq wasn't cooked properly either. We spent our spending money on eating out.
The pools were a disgrace on arrival got better as we were leaving although a bit on the cold side!!!
The rooms ok nothing special the bathroom was a disgrace.
The reps - pah!! W A S T E O F S P A C E
were not interested in anything you had to say and would talk down to you.
Really really dissapointed in Thomas Cook.
This holiday really put me off Lanzarote and booking with Thomas Cook again!

We booked this holiday for a New years getaway in place of an already booked holiday we changed due to building work...I wish we had kept the original holiday with the building work. There were 7 adults and 1 infant in our party.
The rooms were damp; there was condensation running down the windows and the walls. The matresses were damp, the showers were cold and weak! Bathroom ceiling had very bad water damage. We aslo had no plugs for any sinks or the bath! On our second day our baby was diagnosed with bronchitis and all our rep could say was "yes, I have had that too"....great help! We never saw the rep again, even though we never came out of our room for a few days.
The food was awful; it was cold (although it would appear hot from the steam under the hot plates) and the chicken was not cooked thoroughly. It was very repetative. Entertainment....what entertainment? We went out on the nights we could. We couldnt sit in the lounge bar, it was smoke filled and you couldnt breath.
Hotel staff could do with clean uniforms and a smile ! Hotel was not cleaned very often; there were dirty plates outside our room on the gravel on our arrival day and on the day we left the pile had just got bigger, the cleaners never collected them....not sure whos job it was.
Table clothes in dining room were only wiped over; I think they were dirt welded to the tables!
When we returned to the UK I went straight to Thomas Cook and complained! I found out that very same day that this resort has been pulled from the brochure! I wonder why......it needs knocking down and rebuilding to a proper 3 star hotel.
I am amazed we were not all ill from the little food we did eat. I would NEVER EVER go back to this hotel again.

Parts of the hotel were clean. Mainly the bit going out of it and across the road to the Occidental oasis!
The food was truly dreadful. So many people got food poisoning while we were there. We ate out most of the time. There were all sorts of other illnesses floating around too, not sure where from but I was ill for a month after the holiday, right the way through Christmas and I wasn't the only one.
The location was spot on. Right next to the sea and I guess that was one of the few good things you could say about the place. The other plus point was Stanley and Laia, they were great with the kids (even the teenagers like ours) and they worked so hard at making the best out of very poor surroundings. It must be so disheartening for them as all the other entertainment was pretty cheesy and very Phoenix nights. I think what made it worse was that there was a tropical storm too that lasted about 4 days and flooded the hotel out and damaged pretty much everywhere in some shape or form. I know that is not the staffs fault, but when your bed and all your clothes are soaking wet because the rain has come in through the roof, you ask to be moved rooms, only to be told that the maid decides whether you can move rooms! All the maid did was push the bed to the other side of the room! Even when we arrived at the hotel, the kids had no bedding at all and we had bedding only for one of the twin beds. We were given bedding for the kids but none for the other bed. Even after the storm, we were not given dry bedding or a dry mattress. There was never any hot water and basically we just wanted to leave.
The rep was not a nice chap and really was not interested. Having said that, he went into hiding because there were so many angry people looking for him.
It is a shame that the hotel is so shabby, it could have an awful lot going for it if it made the most of its assets, great location, Stanley and Laia, great location...erm...thats it really.
Would definitely not go back. We love lanza and this visit put us off so much we decided to try another island! (coming back to Lanza later this year..try Lanzarote Bay, that is a good hotel)

We need not have worried as we all put weight on and did not have one bad meal or find any cause for complaint. The staff are very friendly and polite and all work very hard to keep the place fully stocked with food and drink.
Rooms are clean and spacious nice bathroom, hot water etc. Beautiful views from some rooms but not all, may be as well to specify sea view if required.
Did not see much of the entertainment as lounge is quite small and was mainly for kid
